Fantastic experience: The gym is great, staff are amazing and the facilities are great! Has all the equipment you need to train both competitively and regularly. Manager is amazing! She always listens to members and does an amazing job running the place. Albany has such a home vibe and really it’s the community that make the gym. I walk in and everyone says hello and both the staff and members support eachothers fitness goals. The PTs there are great and really focus on the individual. This gym is super fun and they always run competitions and events for their members. Which helps the community even more. Over all awesome gym and even better community.

Negative experience: Descent gym ruined by couple of obnoxious chinese members who basically live at the gym and loudly throw weights on the floor. Gym staff appear incompetent to take any action.

Negative experience: It was a very unpleasant deception. The boy at the front desk told me that if I apply for three months, I can get one month for free, so I chose to pay NZD 280 for three months and get one month of fitness time for free. But today I was surprised to find that my fitness card did not expire for one month longer. I asked him why again, and he used the reason that he gave me a discount, but in fact the amount I paid was equivalent to NZD 23 a week. , there is no difference from normal payment, so I don’t think he gave me a discount. On the contrary, I think he deceived me. I should get 4 months of fitness time. This is my right. I feel strongly about such a deceptive behavior. Not recommended

Negative experience: Worst experience ever! Comments from Liam "I can cancel anyone's membership without warning". And he did, cancelled and banned us forever, despite a polite call to explain everything about the incident. Does not feel like a customer, does not feel any respect. Will never visit Snap again, and will share my story with everyone I know that goes to GYM.

Negative experience: I come today to cancel my membership and there’s staff but they just say they can’t do it because they are short staff but what’s the point of this staff being here and not being able to help! You guys are ridiculous when i came here to join the membership you are so quick to help but if you cancel your membership no one wants to help! I dont recommend this place because when you cancel it you will need to struggle and you can’t call them it says just come to cancel but when you come they won’t help!

Negative experience: I'm not a member yet, just wanted to try it out but i went there and no staff were available to get me in, so i ringed them and there was a guy sitting on the secretary area just ignoring the telephone haha.

Positive experience: In the past I had had a great experience with snap fitness Albany and I absolutely loved it and the people there (was there for years losing a amazing 35kg), I had left and came back as a member end of last year after gaining alot of weight after a broken ankle. Unfortunately the experience wasn’t the same this time round as it was previously, it seems to be a high staff turn around with club managers. When I started back I didn’t get a pt contact me at all like I had the first time to see how I was doing even from the start, I had called one time to see what was happening with my payments as I had been charged twice. Apparently because I had been going to the snap by my work recently my home club had changed? Which ment anything I had going wrong had to be directed to that club, I am greatful the manager at Albany at the time went back and forth with the other club to sort it. But that’s not we’re my problems have stopped. I wanted to get my partner a trial pass but was told I’d need to come during staff hours, which doesn’t work for us as we work full time. I after a trial I planned on getting my partner a membership to come with me so he could help me to get where I want to be again as no one at Snap fitness is interested at giving me the help I need. Because of all this 3 stars seems fair only cause I’m nice enough, I have given my notice to terminate my membership so I can go somewhere who will actually help an overweight person such as myself with my goals.

Positive experience: Getting a bit worse recently. Staff barely there or busy doing their thing. The stupid wet wipes that replaced paper towels. Of course the prices rise too. Not enough to churn, but starting to look around.

Positive experience: Good atmosphere here. I like the bars set up especially. Cant give it 5 stars only because all Snap gyms have the fault of having changing rooms in showers or toilet and pack too much equipment into the space.

Far more functional and plenty of equipment without being too crowded means that you never feel like you have to wait too long for the next machine you need, even in peak times. Trainers are friendly and the atmosphere reflects that

Fantastic experience: What I love about snap, over other gyms is the fact that it has free weights, this is important because without free weights sure, ok you will build muscle, but never train your stabilizers, if you go to flip a tire you might pull a muscle lol. Additionally, its modern, android on half the machines and very clean. Would recommend above average price, but... you get what you pay for.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym that I've been going to for the last year and a half without any hitches - modern equipment with barbells as far as the eye can see; staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and offer excellent banter. Thanks especially to my personal trainer Eddie Thomas for his top quality cardio and core workouts; we'll get there 1 kilometre at a time.

Negative experience: good place and friendly staff. poor communication and when you decide to cancel your account everything change. We decide to cancel our account in June because my wife pregnant so we cannot go to gym at least one year. when we told the staff we want to cancel our account, he told us he can ask his manager whether they can hold our account longer. so we agree him to hold our account for three month first and he will let his manager contact us. we told him if it cannot hold longer we need cancel it. after that i got charge in June for next month even my account had been hold. i though it is ok cause we also need 30 day notice for cancel. During this three month, no one contact us until we come back to ask them again in Sep. Then we finally cancelled it. my wife receive email and told her there will no any further charge but i got another charge after i cancel it.we joined this gym on same time so i don't know why. I have to come back to gym and ask their staff the reason. he told me his manager will contact me. but no one call me in next three weeks. i have to email the manager. i told her all situation but she just continue say nothing wrong and can show me my contract even i told her if their staff didn't give me wrong information and no one follow up we already cancelled in June but now i paid twice for cancellation. and she still say nothing wrong and can show me the contract. by the way, the funny thing is when she reply my first email and told me she try to contact me before but seems they got wrong number. However after i give up to talk with her and say i will share my experience. she just directly call my phone in few minute!!! but i was busy so didn't answer. she just email me again and said she try to call me but i was not answer again. what you mean again. i checked my record, this is only time i got call from them. and she just said she got wrong number but she can call me now? so disappoint and never suggest my friend join here. Good luck if anyone need cancel their account....
