Positive experience: Good points: clean showers with decent pressure and temperature, friendly helpful staff, varied selection of equipment, floorspace and parking. Bad points: the normal Mon-Fri busy times you'll be frustrated with the amount of excessive phone users taking up equipment.

Negative experience: They are like vultures once they have lured you into entering any of your contact details on their website which is required to view their prices. Have blocked them several times and they are continuing to contact me via different phone numbers even when I've told them I'm not interested both through text and phone call. This has been happening for years now. Snap fitness? Scam fitness.

Negative experience: Everything is super sticky. The leg extension machine is broken. They do have good showers and stair machines though. And the location is very central. Ive been to plenty of much nicer gyms before which were a couple hundred dollars less expensive and way cleaner with a lot more equipment.

Positive experience: Friendly staff and good deals to get started at the gym. The Apple Watch thing is cool as well. Only thing is would be better if the gym was bigger to fit more equipment and to have room when it’s busy. :)

Whilst equipment breakdowns occasionally do happen, we do pride ourselves on our quick actions to repair currently. So that we may investigate where we may have missed the mark last year, are you please able to let us know what equipment you were referring to?
Fantastic experience: Clean and tidy with friendly environment, the video nature walks on the treadmills are one of my favorite aspects

Negative experience: I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I feel so ripped off and I don’t want anyone else to experience this feeling. There’s barely any range of equipment, the machines are usually out of order and old, the bathrooms were gross as they smelt bad, some had mold and the grossest drinking fountain I’ve ever seen in my life. Not to mention the rude staff who were defensive and sensitive when dealing with, definitely up there with some of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The membership is expensive per week and the tag in key is 60$ right off the bat and they’re actually usually reused. I hope this helps anyone considering this gym to keep looking, there’s plenty of other options.

Since your review, we've had a club manager Nadia return from maternity leave this year and join the rest of the team; Gina, Connor and Jazmine in providing a friendly and welcoming experience. We've had our bathroom facilities re-painted and refreshed. We've changed our cleaning services and received positive feedback. We have added more flexible membership options that all include customized workouts, meal plans, group fitness, and personal training whilst remaining affordable. Fantastic experience: Snap fitness Dunedin is an awesome gym, Staff are so friendly and helpful. A great amount of equipment and an all round great place to train. Easy to be motivated when your coming to a gym like snap Dunedin everyday!
Negative experience: Staff consistently never available when needed. Equipment frequently broken for weeks without repair. Bathrooms gross with mould growing in some areas.
Positive experience: The trainers at the Dunedin Snap Fitness are amazing and I would highly recommend them, however, the gym itself is let down by the upper management staff that are not based in Dunedin. There is broken cardio equipment that is pretty impossible to get fixed because of the managerial chain of command. If you are wanting great trainers and aren't too bothered being let down by broken equipment and nothing being done about it then I recommend Snap.
