Fantastic experience: Cheap pool entry heated with spa

Positive experience: Good gym considering the small size, casual entry which is ideal when traveling through, lots of pool options, small cafe, staff reasonably friendly, easy parking

Negative experience: Dirty indoor pool - so gross looking at hairballs and stuff on bottom of the pool as well as bits of goodness knows what floating around. Seems like ineffective filtering and water treatment.

Fantastic experience: Nice place most public holiday is closed especially Christmas and New Years time

Negative experience: My son was injured by the hydroslide and when I let the staff know that they should check for damage on the slide, I was met with a negative response and no empathy. Rules are great for adults but kids dont read them guys. Work it out.

Positive experience: We attended a birthday party in the little room there. It's close to the pools so we could watch the children swimming.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy swimming here i enjoyed the 33M pool as its 2.7M deep and i love deep water the Hydroslide was fun the Spas are so relaxing they are nice and warm and i enjoy the 25M Pool and its nice and deep and i enjoy it all i will defintely return again sometime

Negative experience: We paid for 10 days and we had a horrible experience, the staff threw water with the hoses on our feet at 6 pm and a woman hit the shower and yelled at us for 5 minutes from the moment we went in to shower. I would like to never go back but there are few options being a backpacker

Fantastic experience: $2 for unlimited hot water showers - ideal for campers. Staff were lovely! P.s. if camping go to ohope beach, the very far end going south, better spot to freedom camp than the other two nearby!

Positive experience: As l live in my camper, aquatic centres are great for a shower and a spa. This one is situated well with huge area adjacent for Kya's dog exercise.

Positive experience: Pool was great, not too cold, plenty of lanes even though it wasn't too busy. Minus one star for the atrocious showers though. Absolutely freezing, pressure too high, and wouldn't turn back on after turning off. Was a little impressed the pipes didn't freeze over...

Fantastic experience: First time going..googled facility on line..drove from Tauranga. On arrival, the kiddy pool was unavailable and the hydroslide closed!..still had a great time..plenty of pool noodles for younger swimmers, great amount of life guards..was lovely 3 hours. Also very clean changing facilities.

Positive experience: Community aquatic centre with basic amenities and gym. Pretty limited parking for size of the place. Standard big indoor lap pool sectioned off for various activities and free-swimming along with your typical indoor hydroslides and family spa. Facilities are getting pretty tired guys! Changing rooms are getting to that ew stage. Not enough for the amount of patrons and the showers are cold with no pressure, on silly old timers and are dirty with no dry storage or shaving outlets at the vanities.

Fantastic experience: Excellent community sports centre. We paid an inexpensive casual fee to use the gym and the swimming pools. The range of facilities were great, and the staff were friendly. Would highly recommend coming here, suitable for all ages.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful staff, lovely venue the spa pool was nice how you could watch everyone. The outdoor covered pool was GREAT for my big body, having those stairs sure did help getting in and out of the water instead of struggling up the ladder lolz. Can't wait to come back and bring my whanau here!!!! They even have a bombing area!

Fantastic experience: Had our nephews birthday here! First whanau to hire out the newly developed area out the front! Catered for our needs. Bbq also provided by the centre.. Should definitely consider hiring out tables, chairs and gazebo (raising the hirage fee of course) for this area to prevent whanau back and forth trips to bring thier own. Gardens are lovely touch to the atmosphere (whanau could possibly use these for decorating purposes) ie: dinosaur/fairies theme (putting dinosaurs/ fairies in there to vamp up the theme) the choices are limitless. Kids loved being able to go swimming with their birthday pass bands all day but should be able to pay that little extra for hydroslide access. Another idea would be to put the tables together at the end so they can be used as one instead two seperate, just makes easier setting up for functions. Overall great experience for first timers.
