Fantastic experience: Fastlane is such a perfect gym for people of all levels and abilities! There is such a wide range of people in the community but no matter where you are at everyone is so welcoming and kind! The class selection, cafe food/drinks, heated pool and friendly staff definitely make the experience so amazing!

There’s truly something for everyone! The staff are so friendly, and you can really feel the strong sense of community at this gym.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, with an inclusive environment for all! There is a cafe, pool, and gym as well as so many different classes with yoga and Pilates as well! The community is welcoming and kind to newbies, very grateful to be apart of this facility where everyone is welcomed ☺️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member at Fast Lane Gym for a while now, and the gym itself is well-equipped with everything you need and also having an indoor pool. They’re always ready to assist with any questions and support. They offer workout sessions that anyone can join and plus, the cafe is a nice bonus where After a workout, it’s great to grab a smoothie or snack. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and strong community.

Fantastic experience: Im almost 2 weeks into my fastlane journey. I joined to rehab my knee and build strength for the next rugby season. So far I've been very impressed. The staff and other members are lovely and the addition of the pool is clutch

Fantastic experience: Signed up to fastlane on their 10 year promo as a friend religiously does Lola’s hot vinyasa classes. I have been coming to the hot yoga classes with Lola and Friday AM class with Liz for almost a month now. After not doing yoga for 5+ years (and having a child) they have been incredible. They are super knowledgeable, always offer modifications for ability levels and are super approachable. There are heaps of other classes available that I am yet to try but it’s great having so many options. I have also found that there is normally heaps of parking available too (even at 5.30pm) Would definitely recommend Fastlane especially the yoga classes with Lola's and Liz.

Positive experience: Pros: The gym is good for the price and facilities. Staff friendly. Alot of classes. Lots of weights and racks. I like the classes especially crank. Matt is really good as an instructor, knowledgeable on cycling. Lolas yoga is good too, friendly. The pool - lots of lanes available. I have done the swim group sessions in the past and also enjoyed them. Opens early and closes late. Cons: No sauna or steam room. Hot yoga studio isnt hot enough (for me) and the floor is carpeted which isnt in the best condition. Not free to use the cycle studio when not in use (but free to use the boxing studio) Some of the equipment isnt in perfect condition (watt bikes in the gym are an example) Reformer machines would be a great addition. Can't comment on the cafe but there is one. Overall i like the gym. I would recommend it. Not flashy like some of its competitors. A few extras/changes and it would be awesome.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy and find fastlane to be a great place to keep my fitness goals in check. It is very accessible for me. Longer hours on a weekend might be very helpful if not a sauna or a steambath would also make fastlane apart from all the rest of the gym.

Fantastic experience: I have the Swim membership. This was just the boost in confidence I needed. The staff don't judge, are friendly, welcoming, and the Pool wonderful to Swim in and other people are respectful. I love swimming, it's taken me 7 years to get the confidence to go after terrible experiences elsewhere. I feel safe. I've now dragged along 3 friends and we go together, all of us working on our health. Thank you guys :-)

Negative experience: If I could give negative stars to this business, I would. My wife has been dealing with Jess from accounts here because we were charged for swim lessons during the school holidays that we were unaware of. We found this out on Monday when school returned, Okay, whatever, we were willing to pay and get on with swim lessons for my daughter. But, we were then penalised with a late fee on Wednesday for not paying for these lessons after spending all day Tuesday in hospital with a sick child. Upon receiving the late fee email and trying to call the business to query the late fee, we got nothing but hostility. Then, to top it off, she hung up on my wife, who was trying very hard to remain calm and composed to rectify the situation, after I was fed up in the background. Poor form. Needless to say this is not a place I'd ever recommend to anyone, nor will we ever give business to people like this. REPLY: In my opinion, swearing in the background of a call should not warrant hanging up on the person you're in conversation with who was being more than amicable on the phone. But again, whatever. Not my proudest moment. I get all terms and conditions/policy etc, I guess what we were trying to do was appeal to: 1. reason and logic (given the fact we had 1 day's late notice since understanding that we were liable for lessons in the holidays), 2. appeal to some level of empathy (given we spent that day tied up with a sick child), and 3. continue to forge a relationship so we could continue paying you money so my daughter could get swim lessons. But, all good.

Fantastic experience: Bring a group in here every month and thoroughly enjoy the facilities and the interactions with all the staff. Owning a GYM that is not a franchise or a large corporate I appreciate has not been easy in the last few years. It's so great that Hamilton has a facility like this that is unique.

Negative experience: This pool is for fitness purposes ok I comprehend that it has a age cap 16 and no children toddler or babies such as the world we live in I'm glad I reach out before I got embarrassed by there rules set in place

Negative experience: After a very long time I went to buy a salad , chose vegetarian options with no protein takeaway for a small salad - I was charged $13.64 , I thought that was very expensive for a small bowl size salad .

Positive experience: The front desk staff, while friendly enough when ‘switched on’ are generally ‘out to lunch’ and being slack. The feeling is they’re just there to take your money. Next. No front desk staff should ever assume any customer presenting themselves for some service has ever stepped inside the establishment before unless the customer is already known by staff. Clearly, there is no team work evident, and customer advice is not being heard or passed on to the ‘family owned’ management, it seems. I have just read one or two glowing reviews from ‘9 months ago’ but clearly things have changed. A recent review claims unwanted behaviour from ‘intimidating males’. They were probably very unwell people and quite harmless. As for the food taking longer than they expected to arrive, café staff should have told the customers ‘We are currently short staffed and your order may take up to 20 minutes’. This is only fair. A customer can then decide not to order and go elsewhere if they are ‘time poor’. Businesses do themselves a gross disservice when customers feel deceived by first impressions. After 5 visits as a ‘casual’ visitor, I for one will not be signing up for any kind of membership until the locker situation and keys conundrum is ‘sorted’ in the male ‘swim’ change room. It is appallingly bad, as is the pooling of water on the floor. I have notified several front desk staff of a few minor issues amounting to, and pointing a finger at, a problem with maintenance issues not being effectively, as yet, communicated within the business. Also, other patrons saying that it’s safe to leave your wallet and valuables in the male change room is not helpful. ‘Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me it’s Raining! Having said that, I have greatly enjoyed the swimming experience, and the location of Fastlane is great. I can walk or cycle there which is also great given that motor vehicles, electric or otherwise, are becoming seemingly unwanted in the inner city.

Negative experience: Arrived at Fastlane to buy some lunch. It took awhile to decide on what to order and it took awhile to get our order. Our food only needed heating. The food was nice. We intended to have a quiet and enjoyable lunch. However, two intimidating big males came in staring at us. One of the intimidating guy was standing behind the table watcing us!! He didnt order anything. He just "stared at us". He looked over at the staff behind the counter then he "left" while we were eating our lunch. Mean while a 2nd intimidating guy came at the same time as the first guy. He stood a feet away from the other counter nearest the gym and or pool area looking at the staff behind the food counter who had served us and he to was staring down where we were and then left after we were eating our lunch. I've been too many places in Hamilton for Lunch, Dinner and Family Events. This place for me is the worst place in Hamilton to eat at! The hostile atmosphere, lacking of service level, a horrible experience to eat at was such a huge let down for me. Hence rating this a one star.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy the pool here. You can normally get a lane to yourself or share with 1 other. It’s not overcrowded or too busy. The facilities are clean and staff are friendly.

Positive experience: Fairly decent gym, $17.50 for a day pass though which is a bit expensive. X2 squat racks. Deadlift area. Plenty of free weights/dumbbells.

Fantastic experience: Gym has everything, plenty of space especially for finding a space to yourself upstairs. Pool included and super clean 25m lanes. Classes are good, food & coffee amazing. Generally I use the entire facilities. I enjoy a class one night and five days a week mid day workout or swim... My second home now.

Fantastic experience: Pretty godly place to be honest! Me and my friend signed up yesterday the girl at the desk was really nice she helped me alot and since there wasn't much keycards and they had to order some more she let us in the next day she was the best person on rep and the Cafe was good too! Had the mini chicken wrap it was yummyie then we had the protein shake (cookies & cream) it was pretty good too my friend had the chocolate it doesn't taste like protein it taste like a shake with yummyie flavours I recommend it :) (p.s it has like a hint of protein)

Fantastic experience: This morning a sweet front desk introduced me, a foreigner, the fee, the facility and the way to enter so friendly. Male changing room is not big but clean with a hot water shower room and 2 toilet rooms. There are about 8 lanes which are maybe 25 meters long. Water is clear and just perfect warm. I stayed there from 9 to 11:30. There were about 4 swimmers in the beginning and 10 in the end. Wonderful just wonderful experience here

Negative experience: It’s a lovely gym but the customer service can immensely improve. I walked in to check out the gym & understand the membership options and the gentleman behind the counter( a young blonde man) could have been more active at his role. I requested him to teach me more about the membership plans and he handed a piece of paper with the information and continued chatting with his mates. I basically had to make sense of the plans from the brochure and give myself a gym tour. I Hope you guys take this positively and work on that bit because it’s a beautiful space you got there.

Negative experience: Swim Member for over 5 years. Did swim lessons as well as my own training. Recently could not swim for 6 months had prepaid for swims. Started back swimming and found majority of my swim credit had been used by ??. Raised with director she said prove it!. They have my photo on file I think fast lane should prove it.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful pool with wide lanes, sparkling water. Water temp is perfect and the changing rooms have everything you need. I have only used the pool on a casual basis but would def join if I lived closer. Very friendly front desk and cafe is superb.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with one of the staff member. As soon as it hit 7pm one of the staff just turned the light off inside the changing room when she saw me getting changed. Not everyone knows finishing time… I just couldn’t see the way out properly. Other gyms would alway wait ppl to get out before they turn any lights off.

Fantastic experience: The whole place is inclusive and non pretentious. I have enjoyed the facilities here its like a 1 stop shop for all your health and recreational benefits. The pool is excellent and I have enjoyed the variety of classes to choose from. The trainers are great and personable and change the classes often. The food is nutritious & my favourite is the caramel protein shake and mojo coffee. Parking is easy and convenient and I look forward to my workouts daily.

Negative experience: On December the 1st 2021 I canceled my daughter and myself membership due to the fact the gym decided to discriminate on vaccines so they could not provide the services I was paying for. Last week I looked on my account and this gym had continued to take money out weekly and had taken out just over $620. I contacted them this week and they now say they will pay $420 and give me a 3 month membership even though I don’t live in Hamilton now so the membership is not worth the paper it is on. They said they have a 8 month minimum membership even though the deal was let down on their end. This is like robbing my bank account then forcing me to buy their product, I will be lodging with small claims and talking to the police as taking money out of my bank account without my permission must be against the law

Fantastic experience: They have a really nice swimming pool. Water and facility are maintained very well and clean. Kids go there to learn to swim. One kid was a very beginner and now she is not afraid of water any more. The swimming teachers are very kind and great. Kids love them. highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I used to be a casual swimmer here but recently became a member. Still the best pool in Hamilton. Great price and fair contracts. Great corporate membership offers. Can be busy but go at the right time and you'll almost have the pool to yourself. Kept well, always clean and tidy facilities. Awesome friendly team and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Wir waren zum Längen schwimmen dort. Sauber und mit 10 Bahnen a 25 Meter dafür ideal. Auf einer Seite etwas wenig Wassertiefe und die Sitzmöglichkeiten für eine Pause in der Halle etwas spartanisch aber ok, man geht ja zum Schwimmen hin.

Positive experience: About the gym: Pros are a non-posey atmosphere, and reasonable array of gear and space. Cons are sterile atmosphere. Importantly, the room it is too hot and stuffy. Although aircon is available at the site it is usually turned off.
