Negative experience: The middle aged lady at the desk is very rude. Wanted to catch up with one of my payments in person while she said they got other work to do not fixing the accounts. Apart from that other staff and gym is good.

Fantastic experience: Ironhouse Gym – Best Gym on the North Island During my tour of the North Island of New Zealand, I trained in several gyms – and Ironhouse Gym clearly stood out for me. The old-school atmosphere is something you hardly find nowadays, and the equipment leaves nothing to be desired: Hammer Strength, Cybex, heavy dumbbells up to 60 kg – everything you need for an effective workout. What I especially liked was the positive, friendly vibe in the gym and the diverse crowd, which creates a great atmosphere. A real highlight for me personally was being allowed to train for free. I had asked for a day pass, and they simply offered: “Today’s training is on the house.” Experiences like that are rare these days and made my visit truly special. For me, Ironhouse Gym is therefore the number one gym on the North Island and, considering my world tour, one of the best gyms I’ve trained in so far. Absolutely recommended!

Negative experience: Would give no stars if possible. Changed my payment date without notifying me. Took multiple late fees along with this with no communication or even offer of refund when wrongly charging me

Fantastic experience: Without a doubt the best gym I ever attended, and I've been to many gyms across several countries. Already feels like a second home. Amazing old school / hardcore vibe, but don't be fooled by it -- not only the gym has every fancy attachment (to target your lower lats right at that sweet 39 degrees angle), but also the community is extremely nice and supportive. Heaps of space and air, mix of vintage and modern equipment for all sorts of training styles, old school proper metal plates and dumbbells if you are into that sort of stuff. Came for vibe and a quick commute but stayed for the best gains of my life.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym with an outstanding range of kit and friendly staff. I was visiting Hamilton for a couple days and they allowed me to train for free, which was such a nice gesture.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Iron House Gym, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The staff are incredibly helpful and approachable, with a good sense of humor too! The gym has a wide range of equipment, some of which I've never seen before, making it a great place to try out new exercises and routines. The members are also very friendly, which creates a welcoming and positive atmosphere. Though I have only attended for a short amount of time, I can tell that Iron House Gym is a top-notch fitness facility. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great workout experience.

Fantastic experience: Dont come across many gyms that still have iron plates, love the clanging of iron , old school gym its not for everyone but if you love the old school bodybuilders then this gym is heaven for me

Fantastic experience: Has been excellent so far. Justine was very welcoming, great range of equipment, spray and wipes available everywhere to clean machines before and after use aaaand you can people watch from the treadmill everyone driving on kahikatea which is also a big plus
