Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews but this gym is great only for the equipment. The area looks clean, the bathrooms are always just basically cleaned and the spa has been dirty every time I have gone in there. It feels like you are being watched 24/7 which is extremely uncomfortable, there is also a wall of shame and I’m not talking just a wall of pictures, I’m talking multiple TV’s scattered throughout the venue that play these photos over and over, even videos which is really quite uncomfortable and over the top IMO. I’ve never been to a gym so hardcore in the way they shame people and make examples of them. Pretty out the gate! They have good classes and a great sauna too. Just a shame how horrendous the customer service is etc because this would be a great place to want to be otherwise.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for a few weeks now and honestly could not be happier. The gym is always clean and tidy which makes working out so much more enjoyable. The staff are super supportive and encouraging and they really make you feel welcome no matter your fitness level. The other gym members are friendly too and it creates a really positive and comfortable atmosphere. The classes are great and the instructors are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Negative experience: Beware to never fall into hardship unexpectedly in your life due to whatever many reasons, this gym is not helpful and will continue to charge you, when they block your access card, even though you have no end term contract and they won't allow you to cancel or hold your account unless the balance is at 0$ just a headsup. I hardly used the facility yet i paid every week until i fell into hardship, not customer friendly when they email you too.

Fantastic experience: I was staying in Levin for the weekend and wanted to find a gym to work out on a Saturday. My first choice wasn't staffed so I couldn't get in, but after I accessed Prime Performance I was so glad I didn't go to the other one. This gym is amazing, so many quality machines that you rarely get at other NZ gyms, new quality equipment, and not crowded at all. It's a fantastic set up whether you're training for performance or aesthetics. I wish my local gym in Wellington was as good. Honestly, the best quality gym I've seen in NZ.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the opportunity to attend a Pilates class with Irina Kapeli on reformers, and at first, I was a bit intimidated and unfamiliar with the equipment. But it turned out to be an incredible workout, engaging all the muscles. Irina is a wonderful specialist—cheerful, beautiful, and full of energy. It’s clear that the results are evident. My muscles are becoming stronger, and I feel more flexible. I highly recommend Irina’s classes for anyone looking to improve strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Negative experience: I don’t like to leave bad reviews due to the impact it can have on small business BUT in this case… The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in any gym. If I could give it a 0 out of 10 I would - due to there being no customer care.

Negative experience: Gym is ok, customer service is pretty abysmal, not a friendly or welcoming environment at all, and as for trying to cancel when your contract is nearly up… their T&Cs are contradictory and set up to squeeze every extra penny out of you. 24/7 is a much more flexible, friendly and customer focussed gym.

Negative experience: They hook you into a membership for a year, and even if you lose your job they still make you pay for it. Really strict rules with large fines and wall of shame for breaking them. Pricy gym.

Negative experience: I use to be a member, some personal things happened and I went to the hospital after injuring my self at the gym, while I was there I couldnt pay my gym fee now they are being stuck up and uncalled for charging me a large amount of money while i was in hospital.., don't recommend any contracts with prime

Positive experience: I only have a m/ship for the Wet Area & its the best money I've ever spent on myself. I have 2 rare health conditions, pain from old injuries, insomnia & menopausal, until I joined PP, I was taking 14 pills per day. Now I don't take any! Complete holistic vibe. Friendly patrons, professional staff & clean equipment. The only con is that the wet room is open to the circuit room & relaxing can be hard when there's tires crashing on the floor or other members are weight lifting. Still better than wine. 100% recommend it.

Negative experience: There are numerous reviews that state that the owner is rude and treats you like he is better than you. I had email confirmation of payment through a debit card online and went to obtain the yellow card access for the wetroom but he got in my face and followed me out closely while making remarks about me

Negative experience: The facilities here are great. The people who run this business don't care about their customers. They won't notify you if their services are unavailable, if you inquire they'll be snarky and if you follow up they'll immediately suggest unsubscription. I feel uncomfortable and unwanted here and its a shame cause it has good facilities and a competitive price. Update from 2 days later. Without my prompting they cancelled my subscription. Disgusting behaviour. Do not support this business

Fantastic experience: I've been to gyms all over the world and this is the best one I've ever been to. Everything you need and then some, loads of space, train how you want to train. And then add the fact it's 24 hours AND has a spa, sauna and cold bath and it's absolutely world class. And that's not even getting into the red light therapy, isolation pod and much more.

Fantastic experience: Clean and spacious gym, with a variety of equipment. There is a number of machines that I had not used before at other gyms. Rene was very patient showing what and how to use, and recommending the best weight settings. Very positive experience during my first visit, no judgement about me being unfit. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome place! This is more than just a gym, I love how it gives you a sense of belonging and community! There are so many classes to try of so many different styles. I was unsure about where to start and Rene encouraged me to try Cardio Conditioning and Kickbox fitness and TRX. I didn't think I would be good enough, but the instructors make you feel so welcome and explain everything to new students and give you easier options if its your first time. They have some awesome equipment (I don't know what some of it is called), but they explained to me how to use it during my free fitness assessment. Private Bathrooms are really nice and the whole place is always soooo clean. Love their member phone app as well, if you are not great with apps, Rene or Irina will show you how to use it so you can book you classes and other stuff.

Fantastic experience: As a mature lady I wasn't keen on joining a gym. Now I find Prime Performance is like my second home, I'm loving it and don't feel out of place. It's so affordable, up to date and spotless. I'm finding that with the wonderful variety of classes (I do 7 per week) on offer my body is becoming stronger and mentally I feel so good. The owners are passionate about what they teach, highly qualified and are extremely professional and patient with their approach. I look forward to the exciting things that are about to happen in the future. We are just so lucky to have this facility in our town and would highly recommend a visit and a chat.

Fantastic experience: I love training at Prime Performance. The space is clean, tidy, well-equipped and the comms within the facilities are really clear too. Alice is an excellent trainer who never seems too busy to help. I've done a few PTs with Alice too which are really technique focused which I love. We often use the circuit area and have attended some classes too. I have nothing bad to say and look forward to continue training here.

A wide range of classes at loads of different times, with quality instructors that help you achieve your best results! I highly recommend this gym and the wonderful team at Prime Performance!

Negative experience: Treats the place like it’s his home vs. a business with paying patrons. Even though the equipment is new and classes are ok, the treatment of paying patrons is very poor. Rene is a tyrant. He is controlling and micromanages your every step. Down to degrading you and treating you like a child the moment you walk in the door. He demands you wipe your feet on the rug. (Even when they are clean). Then, if you listen to anything from your phone, at a level, only you can hear, he demands it be turned off....even though I was the only other person in the building. I forgot my headset. Oh and don’t dare be a few minutes late, otherwise he scolds you. Absolutely wretched customer service and no care for the people. Don’t waste your money and your time.

Negative experience: Shamed a friend of mine who simply wanted to join a gym and get fitter. After a terrible interaction at sign up, resulting in cancellation of membership, he then shamed her again in the cancellation email!!!!! Perhaps the worst interaction I've seen with a potential member in the last few years. Shame on you, I'm sure you've plenty to say about all your other members behind their backs too. Awful, would not recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: I always feel like i'm being watched in this gym and it creeps me out. Rene has camera on every angle of this gym you can never work out in peace, he will even have interupt your workout to talk which annoys me.

Fantastic experience: Prime Performance is honestly the best gym I have ever been to. Not only is there a huge variety of equipment, classes and plenty of space to work out; but the owners are so passionate and friendly. I have never been confident to try new things and go out of my comfort zone, but thanks to the owner he encouraged me to try one of the classes and his effort has now resulted in me trying a variety of new classes and thoroughly enjoying myself. I now feel confident to try anything, including equipment because I know I can get assistance from staff to use new equipment and get advice on correct techniques and amount of sets for best results. Through gaining confidence in trying new things I have met new people and feel truly satisfied with my experience here at prime performance. Thanks Rene & Irina! ❤️

Fantastic experience: I’m not the typical gym type person but I have been going to this gym for a few months and I really enjoy it. The owners are lovely & always friendly! I would highly recommend this gym to anyone , it’s nice and big , plenty of machines available as well even during the rush!
