Fantastic experience: Naenae Pool is a fantastic spot for families and fitness lovers alike. I walked through the whole facility and i must say that the facility is clean, well-maintained, and has great amenities for all age groups. The pool area is spacious, with options for both casual swimmers and those looking to train. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ensure safety and comfort for everyone. Changing rooms and showers are tidy, and the overall environment feels welcoming and community-oriented. Whether you’re visiting for a swim, taking kids for some fun, or just relaxing by the poolside, Naenae Pool offers a great experience every time! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I went to Nai Nai Swimming Pool with my daughter for open swimming on a Sunday morning around 8:30 AM, and we had a wonderful time! There were two pools available, both around 1 meter deep — perfect for kids and parents alike. The place was clean, hygienic, and well-maintained, with plenty of floaties and fun activities to keep everyone entertained. From around 11:30 AM, the slides and deeper pool opened, which made the experience even more exciting. The entry prices were very reasonable — just $5.50 for a child, and one parent could join for free, which is fantastic value. The washrooms were spotless and hygienic, and there’s even a gym on-site for those interested in fitness. Overall, it was an excellent experience — safe, fun, and family-friendly. Highly recommend Nai Nai Pool for a refreshing and enjoyable day out with kids!

Positive experience: There for a swim event. Temperature a bit warm while watching. Great selection of food shops within a minutes walk.

Fantastic experience: The new complex is amazing and well worth a visit. There are great facilities including two slides and outdoor seating with free BBQ Lots of the photos here on Google Maps are the old pool complex which was in the same spot and has been demolished and rebuilt.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, nice and warm. Kitchen and oven in birthday area. The slides looked like fun. Didnt get to go to main pool as it was closed for cleaning. Kids loved it and keep asking to go back.

Negative experience: We have just come to the pools today (Sunday) to bring my 2 boys here. I rung up earlier to see if the slides were open and they said midday. It’s 12:47pm and when we got here we were told possibly 1pm. The lady checked with the life guards and they said probably not as if they turn the slides on, it will drain water from the toddler pool. I’ve been here once (when it first opened) and the slides were working. Ever since then, they have never worked. All this tax payer money spent on something that doesn’t work. What rookie company did the build and not test throughly before opening? Won’t come here again and will go to H2O, at least UH can get it right.

Positive experience: Great facility, though there is a need for improve customer service standards and keeping lane bookings up to date. A bit frustrating at the lack of main pool availability in the week due to water polo and swim zone bookings. Good investment

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the customer service and value for money. They charge $18 per child for just a 25-minute session, yet act as if they’re offering the lessons for free. When we were late by just 10 minutes due to bad weather on rainy day moterway accident , they were unwilling to accommodate us by either extending the session or adjusting it to another available slot—even though the tutors were clearly free and just chatting in the pool. There’s a serious lack of flexibility and customer care. Would not recommend It's newly built naenae pool

Negative experience: staff here is so irresponsible, no one knows when the pool opening hours. They told me come Wednesday night and u know what not opening to the public !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: There is no sauna, steam room, or jacuzzi it's only children swimming pool.

Positive experience: Pretty good public pool. I used to swim here when I was a kid and it was much better then as it had a dive pool and an outdoor area to sun bathe in. The new facility has some teething problems and the water has cryptosporidium parasites and this has been publicly reported and notified. I myself was infected and it's taken 3 weeks to overcome. I've been told they have only just turned the UV filters on to combat this problem. The problem is that you can never filter or get rid of this problem . The best you can do is to dilute it down to X number of cryptosporidium parasites per million. The council should stop trying to cut corners on everything they do. I do understand it's difficult to run any public service however there is nothing here that's unusual or has never been seen before. This is a great local asset and I hope the council keeps investing in the community in Nae Nae.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful, clean, airy pool. Great for lane swimming or 0 - 12 year. Nothing fun for teens except the hydoslides.

Fantastic experience: The nicest gym environment and kindest staff ever. Plus the treadmills are those fancy smart ones with built in programs, games and tv. Never had a better workout experience

Fantastic experience: Excitement facilities. The new kids pool is fantastic and the zoom tubes are great. Most importantly for me, there are accessible changing rooms very close to the pool. One room has a hoist and full adult sized changing 'bed'. Right next door is a changing room more tailored to younger children with accessibility needs. Wheelchair access is great - the only point that could be improved on in my mind is having barriers that open automatically rather than needing to be manually pushed.

Negative experience: Pool is nice lanes are good but needs better clocks however when I was there I was looking around and noticed all the lifgards were standing in a big group around the seat in the lane room to the point there was 7 of them there at one point just chatting none of them looking at the water they are the most useless lifeguards I have seen and the management needs to step up and do their job

Negative experience: its more like a kids pool water is warm and cold at the same time but i give it a 1 because the workers don’t care about anything i told them a problem i had with a guy staring at little kids and they didn’t do anything they made excuses for him and stuff and i told 2 workers both didn’t do anything so if your thinking of taking your kids here watch out there is this really creepy man who licks his lips at little kids

Positive experience: Overall it does its job, but you would expect more from a new swimming pool. Also, the water in the kid's pool is too cold. My son took 20 minutes to go inside because he felt cold. I also saw other kids going out earlier because couldn't stand the water temperature.

Positive experience: Overall I like the pools. I just don't like that big tall bucket thing in the little kids pool. My 3 year old grandson was wiped out by it twice, while we were trying to avoid it. The force of the bucket water dropping could break a young kids neck. Please remove it, think about the impact on little kids

Negative experience: Very disappointed with these new pools... There are 2 pools divided on a weekend, both rectangle. One is used for lane swimming and the other pool is also ⅔ set up for lane swimming. There's a small portion to "play" in and it's absolutely crowded. There's no dive pool, the hydroslides are mid and seemingly dangerous as we watched them get closed down after a kid broke all his front teeth after coming down and hitting the side part at the end. Another crap thing: We were lane swimming then told we had to get out and go to the crowded pool even though we were in the pool doing what they designated it for (why?) 1 star. This pool sucks.

Positive experience: Finally got here today. Arrived late morning - busy but not too bad. By the time we left 2 hours later it was manic! Zoom tubes were fab - don’t like the bumps on your back in parts but i’m being picky. Inflatable was put out - cool. Showers were SO warm - 5 stars for the slides and showers. Pool temp perfect. Slides even though so busy moved relatively quickly - way faster than Porirua pool so good job there. Only thing it’s lacking is a diving board and/or a basketball hoop with balls for the older kids like mine (pre teens) but all in all a fab pool. I’m assuming no extra floaties/balls out at the moment because it’s just so busy but hope to see this stuff once the fanfare dies down. Nice clean facilities which you’d expect for a new pool. Not too much chlorine smell so big tick there. 4.5 stars overall. Staff were friendly also - 5 stars.

Negative experience: Spending $68 million. No option to adjust the hot water in the shower. No sona No spa No steam bath. I am not feeling it worth $68 Million. May be its gone to somebody's pockets.

Positive experience: Awesome! Safe, fun, brand new. Not too hard to find parking parking even when busy. Not enough seating around childrens' pool. Staff should encourage people to put their bags etc in the shelving or under seats, not on top of seats while other people sit on the floor. Add more seating.

Negative experience: We were hoping to make use of the BBQ facilities and outside area last weekend for a family celebration. The staff at the entrance said we couldn't get in without tickets (wristbands) which you had to buy at the library at the other end of the shopping mall area (no door sales). Then they had to go away to find out if the outside area was usable. Finally came back and told us the outside area is still not finished and BBQs are not working. So much for a grand opening!! We decided to go to the beach instead.

Positive experience: The kids play area is fun but it seems like a design oversight to have one kids area instead of having a separate younger kid area. Its a small space and it sort of unintentionally encourages older kids to be playing in the younger spaces in a way that can get dangerous for the younger ones, I was pretty surprised by how close together this all was. No baby changing spaces anywhere and no bins in any changing rooms meant you're also walking around some filthy stuff, don't bother getting changed there.

Negative experience: Terribly cold water at the toddlers pool and at the shower also

Fantastic experience: Our primary school aged boys loved it. The splash pool and kids pool are a great temperature. Fun little play equipment. The big pool is pretty cold comparatively but what you want for active swimming. The changing facilities are great.

Negative experience: With the way that things are going and the reason pools get long term members, you would be VERY silly to not alter your plans and put in a sauna. I travel all the way to stokes to use there's. And I know a few who do the exact same

Negative experience: Campbell Barry's doing a great job of getting the pool up & running, despite it being an election promise amongst other which we're yet to see, as it takes waaay too long. What a joke, all bunch of hoodwink lairs!! Only in it for themselves not the community. It's taken this long and nothing achieved, should've got William's Corporation to build the pool, they build faster than the Govt!!

Fantastic experience: Prime Minister Jacinda Adern announced the funding of the second phase of our councils upgrade to Maidstone Park Sports Hub #Naenae as a shovel ready infrastructure project. Positive experience: It's a super cool pool. - it has a long slide for all ages and a short one for under 5's - there is an obstacle course and blow up item from 12 to 3.30 pm - there are 4 pools (one for laps, one for older kids, one for younger kids, and one for toddlers/babies - you can buy togs etc at the pool shop - the young kids pool has a pirate ship to climb on This pool is so cool!!!

Fantastic experience: Great space for swimmers, children and fitness. The local council has organised really fair plans for membership using all the facilities. If you have a medical condition or just need to lower your BMI to a healthy weight range, ask your GP about a green prescription to reduce costs further.

Positive experience: A family-friendly, fun place where kids and adults can cool off, swim and water-play safely. Especially popular when temperatures rise to sweltering heights such as we are experiencing with the recent, summer, heat wave; admittedly not as hot as our Oz neighbour but not too far behind. On days like these the water-slide of course is the big draw-card. Opposite the pool find wall-art of native birds, a basketball court / mini-stadium (and the Treadwell Community Hall), if you are taking the back route and trying to get your bearings. All in all a neat, little recreational area with good, public seating for hanging out with friends.

Positive experience: A quality local pool. I have some gripes, but it's a local pool, not the Ritz Carlton. The staff are great, and I can swim there. My 3 year old has a great time. What else you need to know.
