Positive experience: To hot in the warm months. Needs some kind of AC, fans aren't enough. Can be busy when the schoolies are out. Generally a good space to workout in. Plenty of equipment.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Masterton. Spacious, friendly staff, clean, good value. Edit: Actually the staff are exceptional, always have a positive attitude, helpful, and respectful - I have found this is not the case at other gyms. And a note about having a large spacious area - even during the busiest times there is always an available machine, weights, or exercise area. Finally, this gym never closes, it is open 24 hr 365 days.

It was clean. They had a vending machine for water, protein bars, protein drinks, etc. The toilets and changing rooms were clean and sanitized. One of the top gyms I've been to. Easy 5 star review.

Fantastic experience: All the essential equipment is included at this gym. There is also a fun class for anyone that loves to dance. I would recommend checking out Zumba. It can be quite busy at times, so it would be better to attend during the off peak hours. The staff are friendly and approachable. It is a fantastic no thrills gym that gets the job done.

Positive experience: I would like to give a 5 Star but you have too '' TURN DOWN THE LOUD MUSIC'' It's got so loud over the past months, I have had to turn my headphones from level 2 upto level 4 which is above recommended health standards. Basically, going to this gym is potentially making me deaf & future hearing problem or lose of hearing. Everyone you talk to complains that it should be really quiet back ground music or NO music at all. 99% of people have their own music Please listen to us members

Positive experience: Not a bad gym for a small town. Weekly memberships are really cheap… I had to pay $20 for a casual entry which is a bit high. Good range of weight equipment and cardio machines.

Fantastic experience: Cruised down from Tauranga to visit my Dad in Masterson and being a City Fitness member meant I got to get some cardio in today. 905 calorie blowout! Anyone reading this thinking of joining? City Fitness are leaders in the industry, offer the best pricing and if you travel around you can workout at any of their gyms nationwide with a single membership. Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, large quantities of equipment and good organisation. Large changing rooms. They have recently done up the main weights room, gym looks amazing now, 100% would recommend. If you can't find the right equipment here for your workout you dont belong in the gym. Massive range of dumbbell weights, increase in 2kg amounts. Many benches for chest workouts and lots of squatting and deadlifting racks and multiple leg press machines. If you sign up and want to be showed around you can ask any of staff or get a booking with a personal trainer for the full experience. This gym is by far the best value for your money you will ever get for working out, $6.99 a week and a small once off starting fee of $50, so sign up and achieve the fitness goals you set out for, remember eating healthy is the fastest way to see results as well.

Negative experience: Initially my verbal request for further information about Personal Training was ignored in person by a male staff. Then when I was booked in to see the Personal Trainer, and to do my Orientation which I didn't take advantage of last year when I joined, I initially had a message from the P.T on my phone, I called her left a message only to finally connect on the phone and be told that she's busy, isn't taking anymore Clients and also "has another job". Why did the Manager book me in the first place 4 days earlier. Why didn't the P.T at least give me a heads up when she left a message days before, she's booked up ......forever? Totally fobbed me off. It's not exactly good business practise and taking it further.

Positive experience: Friendly staff and heaps of equipment. There is plenty of space in this gym and offers classes too. In my opinion, the price for a casual pass is rather expensive when you pay for a week worth of casual visits. If they offered a concession pass, I would give 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: One of the best City Fitness I visited ever. Spacious, full with new machines, a lot of weights and space for exercise. I was in the early evening, but wasn't crowded. The changing room and shower area is super tidy. Could be a good example for other clubs, Thank you guys, great job!

Has shower's, Plus 24 /7 entry to the Gym. Plenty of room to move and train, has a wall of TVs with music, sport an other channel's to watch while you Cycle, run or walk on treadmills and cycles . Just do it !
