Fantastic experience: I love visiting Franklin Leisure Centre. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the facilities are always clean, and there is a great sense of community! I enjoy my swim every time and parking is never a problem. Its my local, and I rate it PRIMO status.

Fantastic experience: Reception - I'd like to commend the exceptional customer service I experienced at the Franklin swimming pool reception. Riley was incredibly welcoming, efficient, and went above and beyond to assist me. Her positive attitude and helpfulness significantly enhanced my visit. Thank you for providing such excellent service!

Negative experience: Outdated facilities and not very clean either. Staff were good but crowded and the main pool is barely heated in Winter. Not coming back again. The floor is also sharp and slippery in many places.

Negative experience: We had a birthday party here last Saturday was told there would be enough tables for our function we ended up having to hire some also the wheel chair lift wasn't going our family had to carry a nephew upstairs in his wheelchair chair when asked why it wasn't going was told by Sue the receptionist we've only taken over 8 weeks ago and we have to log a job for it to be fixed that's a lame excuse it should be accessible at all times for disabled patrons the function room we had was a mess would never come here again I've had functions here in the past and definately was better then

Fantastic experience: I take part in the Swim Fit class, and it is a great way to improve my fitness. Plenty of encouragement and support from the coach and other participants. Really friendly, positive, supportive attitude. Not easy to start, but perseverance and encouragement helps.

Negative experience: Had my nieces 4th birthday here and although her and her little friends had a blast they were all fortunately oblivious to the absolute let down from the staff and how us adults especially her mum have been treated and delt too its been extremely poor! Still waiting on the deposit ($100) back that they state they will give back if space hired is returned back in a acceptable condition, ( which they told us it was ) deposit was supposed to go into the chosen bank account on Monday, Its Friday! Nobody answers the phones nor the emails and going in there for a face to face discussion is a absolute waste of time! Like whats going on franklin leisure?!? This place has turned for the worst some of the staff really lack in maintaining professionalism, professional communication, proper service and would benefit from a attitude check. Will not be going back for any occasion or at all to be fair. Rather drive to Papakura. Don’t have your kids birthdays here or any occasion take your hard earned money elsewhere maybe somewhere where it’ll be appreciated

Negative experience: Staff at desk are nice but no matter what time of day I go here, the swim squad take up 4 lanes and 4 people doing different paces have to squeeze into one lane. Can't management open another lane, I'm sure the walkers don't need the space where you can fit 2 lanes. It's cheaper and better to go somewhere like Papakura. Only reason I went is because it's the closest pools to Tuakau District.

Negative experience: Today, I got my children ready to go to the pool drove there with them, found a car park, herd my 2 yo, 3 yo and 5yo to your premise only to be told that the pool is closed despite nothing stated on the website or social media. This is completely unacceptable and a huge disappointment to my children. I also believe that because my taxes pay for that pool that it’s wrong that I don’t get to enter the building because someone’s rich parents paid more and now my children don’t get to go to the local pools because someone booked the whole pool out this Saturday. May I respectfully remind you that the public pools is municipal place where it is not privately owned and should be used for the public. This may seem like a trivial complaint but you did not have to deal with three disappointed children. I would also suggest making a public apology that nothing was stated on the website because I watched multiple families walk out of the pools seething and this will likely damage Franklin pool and leisure centre’s good reputation.

Negative experience: Pools were so yuck it wasn't a joke city if u wont to get sick swim here very dirty lookted relly run down owners need to shut it down and up grade it as pools looked like they hadn't been clean for moths broken pool flitters in pool kids pools stated and cold not heated and it breaches the standards of heath and safety big time do not recommend to go here was relly let down

Negative experience: I have taken my grandkids here many times but was disappointed to find the toddlers pool had not been cleaned for some time as a very noticeable dark tide mark on the walls.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place! I recently joined here and so glad I didn’t read the reviews before hand as it paints a picture that this place isn’t good which it is totally the opposite from! The staff are super friendly and always great you with a friendly smile and warm hello. They have an adult swimming club which is amazing as I’ve found it so hard to get into a swimming club at my age. The group fitness classes are awesome and the instructors always give great energy and different movements of you need to lower the impact. This is such an awesome leisure centre and you me of the better cleaned ones I’ve been too!

Negative experience: Have visited a number of times now and have never been happy with this facility. Unfortunately it is the only one in the local area so patrons have little choice without driving 40min to the next one. -It is dirty, smells of urine in changing rooms and family room bins haven't been emptied for some time as the smell of baby nappies is so strong the rooms can't be used. - On one visit the head coach yelled and swore at his swimmers down the length of the pool. - lifeguards spend more time talking, looking on their phones and sitting on the table than they do looking at the pool. - the bottom of the pool if always dirty and the centre is often so short staffed it or one of its outdoor pools is closed. - the swim teachers are not Interested in their job, often not even giving accurate instruction or assisting the children in the lap pool while the small pool has teachers who regularly turn their back to the children. - the pool side is green with algae and very slippery, every visit I have seen both visitors or staff slide a little in the algae. - I don't think the pool cover is ever used or cleaned underneath as the floor is covered in black dirt and mold, not a nice sight when standing in at the deep end. - everytime we go there is a different manager which suggests that the facility or management are very difficult to work with. Every manager does less and less to clean it up. On the whole if we had a choice, I would take myself and my grandchildren elsewhere. For now they have been removed from the swimming programme and I will attend elsewhere where ever possible.

Negative experience: Since I've been going for some weeks I've found that the changing rooms, and particularly the showers in the pool area need a good clean they are not very pleasant especially around the floor area. The guy on the door is awesome

Positive experience: Today it's pouring down in Puke and my son is the only one home today for that reason we're here to kill time. Its not busy and my sons happily swimming today. Hes Autistic and isnt quite fond of a huge crowd. Thank you Pukekohe Pools.

Fantastic experience: I took my 8 year old here today. Absolutely loved it. Very clean too, compared to other public pools we have been to :) Friendly staff aswell

Negative experience: Is a member of the pool and gym but only needing pool to make it easier on my joints for walking usually wear singlet and shorts due to not having swim wear my size, was told sorry you cannot go into the pool in the weekend from staff member because of wearing singlet , husband went the next day and saw several people wearing singlet in pool, I have not had this issue in the past while I have been there why a change now ??? Maybe I should get a refund of my hard earned $$$ I put into membership as it's hard enough being big and going there to try exercise and then be told no you can't enter pool due to my singlet being worn just frustrating and embarrassing

Negative experience: No one follows the rules. No one takes a shower before, after the sauna, as well as all the lean people immediately dive into the pool, swim in their clothes, walk in dirty shoes, smell the toilet. Who wrote the rules that hang on the wall. Not clear.

Positive experience: Nice pool area and staff. Our toddler loves the fountains in the kids pool. Changing rooms and toilets are a bit run down in the pool area. Haven't been to the gym or courts so can't comment on those.

Negative experience: Phoned to get opening hours so we could take grandchildren - yes 8pm closing. Even repeated it - Got there - outside pools close at 5pm. Surely - SURELY all your staff know the different times for different pools. Please do better #kidsaremiserable

Fantastic experience: Great. It was free for the kids. Not sure of they open the swimming lesson pool when there aren't lessons for the public to use. They had a bowl of lemons on the counter to help yourself too.
