Fantastic experience: As a Coach at Spartan, I can confirm this gym is a unique and wonderful place to work. I’ve worked at private and commercial Gyms before. You’d hear about the PT burn out environment that most gyms facilitate. This was not what I wanted to ever be in again. Everyone at Spartan is chill but also serious about getting results, there’s some pretty neat characters that inspire me! I’ve had to experience overcrowded facilities previously, and it feels weird PTs are on the hunt for business. We have a pretty tight knit team and if people want to reach out they can decide to work with a coach I think what makes the gym stand out, is the positive attitude & banter culture here. It makes working out more fun, and less about churning in members day in and out. I could be bias , but I see my team helping amazing people transform into strength gods and goddesses. I’ve commented here today, because I think it’s important to see what a business operates like in the background. And I can say it’s led well here and it is the perfect environment to get things done

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for great equipment and great people, this is the place. The layout, staff and vibe is on point. This isn't some cookie cutter commercial gym, this is a place where people help each other get better. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: When I signed up I had to start a direct debit and instead of taking the money out on the day I wrote on the form, they took it on a Monday. Also if you miss a payment you get hit with lots of fees. Not really customer friendly way of doing things. Also can't ride the bikes there they are the most uncomfortable ever.

Although not the biggest gym the people and environment make it exceptional. The trainers are standout and always motivated to help clients achieve outstanding results. Fantastic experience: Trained up by Penny start of the year, really pleased by my results. Lost weight, gained strength at the same time. Unload the days' burdens, good music, pre-workout, lift heavy sh*t and come out stronger the next week.

Fantastic experience: Gyms can be daunting but not Spartan, it has a good homely feel plus you don’t need the latest drop of Lululemon exercise gear to train. Crocs are also an acceptable form of foot wear.

All of the personal trainers are professional, super motivating and friendly, overall vibes are on point and everyone is super helpful. Gym equipment is always clean and tidy as well as the facilities to shower after a session.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with or without the trainer. Local boxing club and kids classes. EDIT (25/01/2019): Spartan HQ no longer has their boxing ring nor boxing classes for kids...that said, I am still a member, 25 kg lighter, and the gym is the best (toughest) around.

Fantastic experience: I am only in my first week at Spartan HQ and I am loving the experience. I love the look and feel of the gym. The staff all look professional and the rates are affordable. I highly recommend the 12 week challenge. $999 is a pathetic amount to pay for the hours that are given. Good stuff ! Thomas Rapana

Fantastic experience: I have been impressed by this new gym. Spartan HQ is a welcome addition to Pukekohe fitness scene as it combines the much sort after 24/7 access offered by the heavily franchised gym getups with its own unique philosophy and decor that invites individual perseverance and accomplishment. The gym has a carefully balanced suite of high end weight and cardio equipment with a slew of personal trainers available at rates significantly lower than most Auckland gyms. When I signed up back in 2016 there was no contract and I was not locked into any unnecessary commitments - this in an absolute bonus to anyone reengaging their fitness goals.
