Onyx Fitness Studio

Fantastic experience: To me, Joining the ONYX Fitness Studio was one of the best experiences I have had in Auckland. I loved the variety of classes that the studio offers and the friendly, fun, supportive and dedicated instructors. I loved that there is a level for everyone and every body shape, everyone is welcome regardless of their starting abilities. The class design was so much fun and exciting, but geared around safety at the same time so that everyone can train at their level. It is not only a place to learn pole, it also comes with a lovely open minded and friendly community. I cannot wait to be back in Auckland and start pole dancing again :) Thanks so much for an amazing time in your Onyx Stuio <3.

Fantastic experience: Really nice and clean studio. The instructors are all so lovely and supportive, I always have an amazing time! They also have deals and options for new attendees and casual members. I started with their beginners programme and it was so worth it, affordable and fun, comfortable atmostphere.

Fantastic experience: I need to make a return! I done a couple of classes (unfortunately I was in a very low point in my life and cut it short) but absolutely loved it! I will be back at the start of 2023 to pick up where i left off!

Fantastic experience: Everything about Onyx is absolutely first-class. The teaching is varied and excellent, the studio is a joy to train in, the instructors and students are friendly and welcoming. The poles are the best I've ever used *anywhere* in the world, the environment has done wonders for my confidence - and the prices are a fraction of what I've paid elsewhere! I've sat in on introductory classes and can say without hesitation that this would be a terrific place for people to start learning as well as for more experienced polers. So whether you have years of pole behind you, or just considering getting started, Onyx is definitely well worth a visit :-).

Fantastic experience: Onyx is literally my favourite place in the whole world The pole fitness, pole art and flexibility classes are amazing, Ximena and all the other instructors will kick your butt in every way and it’s great! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; it doesn’t matter if you’ve never done pole before — that’s why the studio exists after all! The studio itself is modern and chique with a lot of equipment (and more coming apparently). Everyone is so friendly and kind and I feel so lucky to call the other students and the instructors (and Brook! The man BTS) my second family✨ 100/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Before I started doing pole at Onyx, I was never an "exercising" kind of person because of my own insecurities. But after I gave it a try and kept going to the classes, my life's changed, I'm much more confident, and I even have muscles now. MUSCLES! And that's all because at Onyx they have such a welcoming environment, the instructors are super supportive, everyone is friendly and helpful, the classes are very fun (I never though I'd have fun exercising! That's crazy) and I felt instantly at home. Going to Onyx's been the highlight of my day for the past 1+ years. All of this to say that I would 100% recommend this place no matter if you're just starting your pole/fitness journey or if you're more experienced. It's absolutely FANTASTIC <3 Oh, and they also have flexibility classes that make you super bendy, which is a total bonus :)

Fantastic experience: I had moved nearby a few months ago and decided to try their Intro to Pole Sport classes. It was totally out of my comfort zone but they were so welcoming that I decided to get a membership! It's definitely a family. Would 100% recommend. I've brought friends to the flexibility classes as well and they enjoyed it! I recommend the memberships, but if you can't fork the money and happen to have ClassPass they are on there as well! But if it's your first time going make sure to go to the intro classes - I think you have to do 5 before going to Level 1.

Fantastic experience: Finally back in the studio after lockdown and it feels amazing to dance, train and be active again!! This is hands down my favourite studio in Auckland and I encourage anyone who’s considering trying pole dancing to come check it out. Ximena and the other teachers will far exceed your expectations - they are professional, passionate, encouraging and give you just the right amount of gentle nudging to help you challenge yourself. The students here are equally supportive and friendly. Also can we just talk about how clean, bright and sophisticated the studio environment is? Fantastic experience: I started with onxy pole in June 2019 as a beginner. Now I'm in level 3. I really like Xemina's class. It's easy to follow. That's why I improved so much. Plus I become so fit. I have 3 classes pass each week, one month $180. I think it is a very reasonable price. I can use these passes for pole, stretching, yoga and so on. The studio is so nice and very body is very friendly . Feels like home.

Fantastic experience: Ximena is the best instructor! Such a lovely couple run the place. Best place for pole fitness & barre ballet, the yoga classes are some of the best i've ever been to. Absolutely my most recommended place in Auckland to practice!

Fantastic experience: Onyx is a great place to learn pole. I find the sport very challenging as I'm not naturally athletic, but the teachers and other members are warm and encouraging so I find myself able to do moves I would never have imagined being able to do. I'm so happy to be back in class after lockdown! They are doing a good job with the extra hygiene and distancing measures.

Fantastic experience: I do Personal Training once a week at Onyx Fitness studio. I came to Ximena with goals in mind and she helped me develop a plan that not only helped me gain strength and muscle but also confidence and happiness in myself. The sessions are always extremely challenging and rewarding leaving you put of breathe and full of sweat by the end. You also get the luxury of working out in a well-decoarated private studio!!!

Fantastic experience: I really love this studio. I've had the pleasure of being taught by Laura for the Vinyasa flow class which is amazing! Ximena (studio owner) & her partner are also incredibly nice people. She has done a wonderful job setting up the studio! I would highly recommend this place!
