Fantastic experience: Very happy with this place! It was my first time today, starting my two week trial. One of the staff members explained the equipment (it kind of went over my head because I’m too new to this stuff). She helped out a lot with my questions and showed me how to use the treadmill. She answered my questions whenever I needed her. Very polite and very professional. I had a mini workout, didn’t want to push until I get a PT after my trial. Even with that, I had fun! I felt so good physically and mentally that I was finally giving my body what it had been clearly screaming at me for. I cannot wait to become a regular here and not only gain muscle weight, but just become fit and healthy.

Negative experience: I was a long-term member at this gym and supported the community for several years. Unfortunately, my experience with management changed when a personal matter unrelated to the gym was handled in a way that I felt was unprofessional and discriminatory. Despite years of positive contribution and strong relationships with staff, my membership was suddenly terminated without discussion or clear explanation. I asked for clarification and evidence but received none. The entire experience left me feeling deeply disrespected and unfairly treated. I’m sharing this so future members understand that while the facilities are excellent, the professionalism and ethical standards at management level can vary greatly from what you’d expect from the Anytime Fitness brand.

Fantastic experience: The gym is spacious, equipped with a wide variety of machines. There’s a dedicated area for Zumba classes, and the cardio section offers a scenic view of the sea or lake outside. However, the main entrance door is damaged and not functioning properly.

Negative experience: Well below average gym, Just a typical cookie cutter, money Grabbing franchise gym with little to no culture or community,.The view is good but it in no way makes up for the major lack of equipment, poor layout and bs policies you would be subjected to as a member , much better gyms for similar money around town and quite honestly if you have the space and the discipline to use it you would be better off building a gym in your garage for the same cost as a couple of years of membership.

Positive experience: Great gym, fantastic ambience with well maintained and up to date equipment. Only downside, as noted by others, is that the ventilation and aircon, particularly in Summer, isn't good enough for effective aerobic exercise. Maybe free standing fans would help improve airflow? Still the best gym in Christchurch though!

Fantastic experience: A smaller gym that has a great presence of staff and members. Would recommend this to anyone in the area that is beginning their journey in fitness. However, it's a bit difficult to go through all training reschemes due to their lack of equipment, so for experienced athletes it might not be the best spot. Still recommend it though if you're wanting a good local... Chur.

Fantastic experience: Due to a change of job I've had to move residence - out of convenient access to a Anytime Fitness branch. The staff at the Ferrymead branch (I think I spoke to Liv?) were incredibly understanding and reasonable, which made exiting my contract completely stress-free. Cheers guys!

Fantastic experience: When people were shooting each other it was much harder to get to the Riccarton Anytime Fitness so I drove out to Ferrymead. I actually enjoyed the space and returned another couple of times on my trip. This was by far the better Anytime Fitness I went to in Christchurch for equipment setup

Fantastic experience: Solid gym in Ferrymead. They're open 24 hours and offer a wide variety of classes (free with membership) You need to sign up for them well in advance (at least the more popular ones like spin and yoga.)

Fantastic experience: For someone who finds situations like going to a gym daunting and anxiety inducing, the team at Anytime Fitness Ferrymead have been super supportive in getting me out of my comfort zone just by being super friendly, supportive and always making sure you're on the right track.

Fantastic experience: Just the right size, not too big and not too small. Clean and hygenic with a good selection of equipment. Awesome classes with helpful instructors and the staff are friendly also. I've previously been a member of 2 other gyms and this one tops it for me

Fantastic experience: A great gym, in a great location, with a friendly team and atmosphere. It's nice to finally find a gym that you feel comfortable going to, and Anytime Fitness Ferrymead is perfect for that. The gym is small, but there is still plenty of space and it never feels crowded, as a bonus there is always a nice view outside.

Positive experience: Like the guys who work there, gym is OK, it kind of feels like a well equipped hotel gym although it has classes and, New to me, and automated DIY sort of system to do classes at anytime, so you can even do say yoga alone at midnight. It's also pleasantly clean
