Negative experience: The Gym is tidy and all the equipment works and is functional. Unfortunately the big drawback is lack of customer service or support. The fingerprint scanner regularly fails to read your fingerprint and you cant get in. All my emails sent have gone unanswered Staff often turn up late during the week and even when i sort support from them with my membership they failed to resolve the issue and its still on going. Overall its just not worth it
Negative experience: Used to be a great gym, however cancelling your payments with this gym is near impossible. Several efforts have been made to contact and cancel. The staff are only on some of the time and when you manage to find a staff member who is on - they never seem to be able to have the authority to do anything regarding a membership. I’ve moved out of the area and I’m still dealing with trying to get this membership cancelled over a month later. For context I’ve been a member of this gym over 3 years prior to this.
This feedback is disappointing. Our membership terms are clear on signing up to FFS - you must send written confirmation of cancellation.
We are happy to receive this via the contact link on our website or via messenger on Meta . Justin sent a request through the contact page on Friday the 10th January. This message was acknowledged on Monday 13th and the 10 day notice period was backdated to the 10th when we received Justin's request to cancel. Justin has never reached out to voice his concerns or asked for clarity. He's also not been out of pocket or disadvantaged in anyway.
We are a family business with a strong connection to our community. Where we have made mistakes we have always made things right. We are also one of only a few gyms on the coast that write in a cancellation clause so members can cancel early if life changes at short notice.
We certainly appreciate 3 years of membership Justin - just a shame you felt venting on our google review was necessary where we had actioned your request within 3 days of being made aware you were moving away.
People like Justin forget also that we never charged them despite their membership being within term during the lock downs of the pandemic. But there you go.

Negative experience: Used to be great and the staff are amazing but this place has gone really bad they started trying to combine like muay thai with a regular gym and they really don’t even have a cardio area for regular gym goers.
Hi Jake - yes things have had to evolve as the gym has had a hard time through the pandemic and then straight into a recession. We knew making the changes we needed would displace a few people which s understandable. The class area was really under utilized so having a space that is now working for us is much more sustainable.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with excellent quality equipment that was continually improved during our near years membership. We chose this gym primarily because of the flexability around our son who we wanted to take as his PE lesson for homeschooling. Most other gyms would not allow this. We had great plan support from trainers Anu and Amon and Grordie the owner was always on hand. We loved the gym, and went 4 -5 times a week at various times and had no issues with equipment availability. We highly recommend this gym for any level of future members.

Fantastic experience: Been a member of many big gyms before but nothing compares to a small independent run one. I've been on a nutrition plan with the owner for the past few months and am now fitter, stronger and healthier than I have been in 10+ years. The staff are amazing. They are friendly, supportive and actually take the time to talk with their members which in my experience is a rare thing compared to other gyms. I will be starting with a pt in the next few days and if it is anything like my experience so far then I know it will be beyond exceptional. Could not recommend this gym more.

Positive experience: A great gym, especially for a newcomer to weight training like me. Staff are friendly, approachable and knowledge. Definitely a safe space to train. The classes are a great bonus too

Fantastic experience: Great intimate gym. Good equipment excellent knowledge in the trainers to tap into. If you are into heavy power lifting or body building or want to build strength and tone, or just keep up your mobility and flexibility this gym caters for it. Great joining deals at the moment, I gave been a member for about 5 years.

Fantastic experience: Best gym on the coast. It's cheaper than most at $10 p/w for 24hr access, has the standard cardio machines, really good weight machines, free weights and 2x standard squat racks. It's not too busy most of the time, staff are friendly, and other gym users are considerate.

Fantastic experience: Geordie runs a tight ship here, and really knows his stuff. He's hired great trainers too, and the vibe is friendly and relaxed. Would recommend to both experienced fitness enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Most/all types of weights and machines here: free weights, bars, rower, bikes, treadmills, and classes such as boxing, yoga, MMA and more.

Positive experience: Great space, great management and great trainers. Recommend this gym for all levels as there is an abundance of equipment for whatever day it is from legs to arms to chest. Even has bags up for those stressful days and you just want to hit stuff. Competitive pricing also makes this a great gym for the coast.
