Blue Hot Shots is a program designed to create the best start for 3 to 5-year-olds. Even before playing on a red court we want to ensure that children build skills and confidence. We want to ensure that kids start with active healthy lives so we have created a program to develop all the fundamental motor skills required. It’s all presented through fun and play but most importantly creates a great way to get started.
Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis program for New Zealand children. Modified Hot Shots equipment gives kids the opportunity to play an adult version of the game in an environment that suits them. Red, orange and green balls, smaller courts and shorter, lighter racquets allow kids to hit the same tempo as the pros, move around the court in the same way, and execute the same tactics.
A full-size court with a fully pressurized ball is used, with our Giant stage. Players who have processed through the hotshot stages or beginner teenagers will play within the giant stage. At this age the social aspect is very important to ensure each person is comfortable and having a good time as well as learning the techniques and tactics that best suit their level and abilities.
Albany Sports Park school holiday programme is a fun one week (half-day) tennis programme, where kids make friends on the court and better their tennis abilities. We focus on maintaining the level of each child by putting them in a specific group based on their age and ability, each coach knows what they need to do to help the child succeed and on the last day of Holiday Camp (Friday) we run a mini-tournament round-robin style.
Tennis Xpress is a national initiative, delivered regionally in clubs and regional tennis centres for adults who have never played tennis before or those who haven’t played for a while. Covering basics such as learning to score, techniques of groundstrokes, volley and serve. Tactics for both singles and doubles.
Cardio Tennis is a fun, social, group tennis-fitness program for people of all ages and abilities. It is a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout.
Pickleball Albany is run indoors at Albany Sports Park. We have 12 courts set up for our Thursday session and 8 for our Friday session. We are open for anybody to join us, new and experienced and love to see new faces.
The Albany Football Hub is the only purpose-built, all-weather football centre in New Zealand, with competitions running all year round for Men’s, Mixed, O35’s, and Junior leagues.

Negative experience: Don't let your child use the changing rooms! There seems to always be naked men showering in the changing rooms and they don't bother to cover up when there is kids around. They are not even patrons of the tennis park, they are living in vans and trucks down the road and come here to shower each day. It's just a matter of time until a child's future is ruined... The facilities should be for paying customers only.

Negative experience: 실내코트가 있어서 날씨랑 상관없이 연속적으로 수업을 받을수 있어서 매우 만족스러웠지만 감기로 아파서 결석을 했을때 메이크업할 시간이 없다는 이유로 메이크업을 해주지 않다가 다시 문의하니 3주이상 의사 진단서가 있을경우에만 메이크업을 해줄수 있다고 했습니다. 감기로 3주이상 진단서를 받는건 불가능하다고 생각하는데 아이들이 감기 걸리는건 아주 흔한일입니다. 그룹레슨인데 메이크업할 시간이 없는것도 이해가 안가지만 3주이상 진단서를 첨부해야하는 이런규정은 도저히 납득할수 없습니다.

Positive experience: Large tennis park. Has a sports shop and a cafe in the main building. Good indoor hard courts. Outoor courts mostly astro turf. Walking distance to some restaurants and a Z petrol station. About 5 mins drive to Westfield Albany.

Fantastic experience: My ageing pals and I use this facility through winter when our local courts are likely to be inundated at any time. Tennis Northern and the Albany Tennis Centre have been terrific hosts. The stall at the boking desk and the Pro shop have been amazing. Organising an unruly group of old farts can be a challenge, but with a little help from this lot, we get our weekly fix without a problem. Thumbs up for them all.

Positive experience: This is a great sporting facility. It is straightforward to get to and there's a reasonable amount of parking. Some of the tennis courts themselves are getting a bit worse for wear but the indoor courts are great.
Positive experience: 6 indoor tennis courts, many outdoor courts. Sufficient parking is available for both areas. Active whole day coaching takes place. Venue can also be hired for alternative activities such as pickleball tournaments.
