JustWorkout Devonport 24HR Gym

Negative experience: Lots of people, good profits for them, but the machines are years old, some are stripped, unpainted, and rusty. I didn't like this gym...

Fantastic experience: I’ve really enjoyed coming to just workout in Devonport especially the classes which are great because you don’t need to book, so you can easily get to a class each week even if your own schedule is changeable. The staff are super helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. They have helped when I have needed to pause my membership and were super helpful when family visiting from overseas wanted to join short term ! The staff were also happy to create a new work out plan for me when returning after having a baby.

Positive experience: Came here for a trail with my boyfriend, I think i will stay at les mills. The gym is small and no spa or sauna for woman or men

Negative experience: This gyms good but rapidly in need of some renovations and some TLC. -dents in floor on almost all squat platforms so your body stands at a slightly awkward angle, fine for low weight but awful for heavy. -staining all over the ceiling, -equipment does the trick but could definitely use a refresh -aircon either doesn’t work or is never on, I’m sweating in this place before even hitting my first set -only one toilet in the mens bathroom is not a whole lot of fun when the place is busy - cables rubber ends are all super munted and are just waiting to break completely - staff is super friendly which is good This gym has so much potential yet refuses to reach it. This gym is just a standard gym, not at all worth it for the price. The last gym I trained at was cheaper and the owner was in every single day making the place great, installing new equipment, fixing the floors painting the walls, installing new mirrors, new lighting, I could go on and on. I’ve seen gyms with saunas charging less than this place It’s clear that the owner of this gym shows a decent level of neglect to what could be the best gym on the North Shore.

Positive experience: This gym isn't too bad but is on the expensive side. I've been training here for just over 3 months now, and the experience so far is ok. Upsides: - Everything seems to be clean and hygienic - Machines are maintained well, and when they break (which doesn't happen that often), they are repaired quickly - More than enough barbell plates, both for big compound exercises and for free load machines - Usually not that busy - Staff is friendly - 24/7 part about the gym is nice Downsides: - The gym is on the small side, so there is a lack of some machines. I would love to see something like a preacher curl machine - The obvious one, Pricing. A little on the expensive side, but I go here since it's the closest thing Overall, the gym has got the basics for anyone looking to train, and I guess the option for personal trainers and group activities exists for those who want that kind of stuff.

Negative experience: You’re better off at Jetts or jump on the ferry to the Tepid Baths!! This place used to be the basic and cheap local gym, but the prices seem to have gone up despite nominal improvements to the actual gym. Was quoted approx $140 for one month membership including a $39 ‘new member joining’ fee, even if you have used the gym in the past with your details already in the system. Pretty shocking pricing for sub par facilities and a crowded floor.

Positive experience: I originally panned this place due to a lack of cleanliness. Improvements were made, however I found it crowded with poor ventilation.

Negative experience: BE WARNED - DON’T JOIN THIS GYM! (Devonport - Just workout) I had initially been on a 12 month membership which I cancelled well over a year ago when I moved away from Devonport. I handed in my notice to the regular woman at reception and gave them back my key-fob. A few weeks back I noticed a random debit and investigated. Just over one month after cancelling, they’d just reinstated my weekly membership debit.. That’s over $1200 in total. I called immediately and while they recognised all of the facts, two members of staff never returned my calls after finally confirming they’d cancelled the incorrect debits. One female sarcastically asking ‘oh, so you want your money back now do you?’ Unless someone gets in touch with me, This review will remain and I hope it costs them more in membership $. Useless.

Fantastic experience: JustWorkout Devonport is my local gym, I visit on a regular basis and I think its an awesome gym. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The equipment is modern and they have everything I need for a great workout. Its always clean and tidy. I also love that the the gym environment is casual but very professional, its small but personal and not intimidating.

Fantastic experience: Great staff who are irreplaceable and gym has a great atmosphere and is probably the best of the gyms but they could compliment this with some more investment

Positive experience: Lovely staff old equipment and generally everything you need. Could do with a little makeover and freshen up pus some new equipment, but it suffices.
