Negative experience: If you are a proper golfer, do not bother playing here. The layout is nice but the greens are the worst I have ever played upon in New Zealand. The ball spends more time in the air than on the ground. It has been this way for 2 years, ever since they cored them and sprayed Amitrole at the same time. You're better off playing crazy golf.

Negative experience: Considering the cost of a small bucket of balls, you would at least expect a) driving range tees b) auto tees working, and not ripped up and c) the auto list actually working. Disappointing for a club that sells itself as a premium course

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience playing here in December 2023 as a guest of two members. Course was in great condition, greens true and fair. The back nine the more interesting with some memorable holes including 15 and the elevated back tee on 17, worthy of a photo too. Not the longest course but an awesome day out.

Positive experience: Great day for it. Course it challenging but fun. Only issue was sanding half the greens during the day. Makes learning the speed of the greens redundant once your putting through sand.

Fantastic experience: Dinner at the Bunker was great. We went as part of a formal function. Couldn't fault it. As a vegetarian, I had the pea and haloumi fritters for a main and Brownie and berries for dessert. Enjoyed it very much

Fantastic experience: First time there on 30 Dec. Love the course not easy not difficult. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 25 minutes north of Christchurch. Easy to get there.

Fantastic experience: Great course. Really enjoyed our round here. The staff are really friendly and that facilities are fantastic. There's a very well set up pro shop with loads of great kit and the driving range is top notch too. The cafe is comfortable and the food and drink was quality as well. The course is challenging with a fair amount of bunkers and wetlands hazards. Fairways are in good condition and I thought the greens were really nice to putt on too. I'd definitely come back.

Fantastic experience: This complex has lakes, sandy beach, & waterfall, all man made. A great place for a bbq picnic in summer. You can also do kayaking, but need to book in advance.

Positive experience: There is always that little question mark at the Back of your mind when you look at other people's comments.... The Majority of Comments on this Place are Positive... So the Two that took umbrage are they just Picky and will always look for the Negative at any Eatery and did they Say to the Management why they had been disappointed... (Being Snarky after the fact never is helpful) or were they unlucky on the Day. My Elderly Parents go there Regularly, Jon and Lesley are Treated like Royalty and Saff make sure they are well looked after. My Family and I on Boxing Day arrived 7Adults and a18mth old and we were well looked after... Lovely Cabinet of Food, (I felt well priced) ... One of a Few places that had opened up on Statuary Holiday , as some Eateries STILL Don't get that Paying your Staff extra and a day in Hand, Will ultimately be rewarded when Regulars reward you for being open on a Stat. by Returning and commending you for taking a hit to your own pocket . For a Pro Golf club Cafe, this Place is Very good at Taking Casual Custom, when it could be Very ELITE. Will Return and have Never been Disappointed. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

Negative experience: Whoever has heard of lettuce and tomatoes in a traditional Sunday roast.Has the Chef come from McDonald's?Paid nearly $100.00 for four people for meals that took nearly 45 minutes to serve.Won,t be back.

Positive experience: Course good. Cart was dirty - complete with spider webs, sticky steering wheel and loose roof that rattled all the way round

Positive experience: Price for full members is $1400 and for your expect decent facilities. While the grounds are well maintained, the poor putting service, overgrow lake weed and lack of an equipped club house makes this an expensive option.

Positive experience: Pegasus Golf & Sports Club is home to a well-rated and always popular golf course. This open parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. The relatively open course is set against a diverse landscape of water features and the natural wetlands of Pegasus Bay, with a backdrop of mountains to the west. Although there are no directly bayside or ocean-view holes, there are plenty of golfing challenges on this well-crafted design.

Positive experience: Had breakfast at the cafe last weekend. The staff were lovely and setting great. The food however was a complete disappointment. Some of our group had eggs on toast and that was all they got. Two eggs next to a couple of slices of "supermarket" toast. Absolutely no garnishes or dressing up of the meal. The bread was totally uninspiring. Could have had that at home for a 10th of the price. Those who ordered the pancakes were similarly disappointed. Pancakes had obviously been cooked ahead of time and just reheated - rubbery and tasteless. Again way overpriced. Have been here for lunch and had no complaints but would definitely not return for breakfast.

Positive experience: Good modern bar after a game of golf or casual drink any time. Very local feel and friendly staff. Good bar food but haven't tried main menu, I'm sure it's very good also.

Positive experience: Great golf course, both seductive and challenging depending on weather (wind). Greens are generally fast and true but nothing guaranteed. Lots of "gotchas" if you get over ambitious. Nice driving range and pro-shop but a little expensive. Good café but seems more focused towards being a walk-through coffee shop/meeting place than a golf club halfway house or 19th hole. Definitely worth "having a go"!
