Fantastic experience: We had my daughter’s 5th birthday party at Viva dance and it was a total hit! They took care of everything so we could just turn up and enjoy the party. The dance aspect of the party was super fun for the kids and Jessie kept them engaged for 45 minutes! Highly recommend this as a kids party option.

Fantastic experience: we just held our hen party for 12 girls at this venue on saturday and i can not recommend more highly! julie was fab to deal with and the venue was so reasonably priced compared to other hen activities. we hired the studio prior to our mamma mia dance lesson for games and byo bubbles then had a fab hr learning an abba inspired dance routine. we then hired the venue for post dance drinks and more games and it worked really well thanks heaps i would defo hire this studio again for a girls night out !

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience, the class is aimed at fun! Even beginners like me are encouraged to do their best. Lots of giggling. I went for my next session last night. Lots of new faces, every one enjoyed the line dance.

Fantastic experience: When they say dance classes for everyone they mean it! There’s classes for fun, beginners and classes for those wanting to train in technique. I’ve been going consistently for 2 years and the range of dance styles on offer is seriously unmatched in AKL! Not to mention the teachers are very experienced and most have been dancing for a long time. Domis classes are especially great if you’re looking to improve your dance skills and vibe out to fun songs, I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Really good dance school with wide variety of different styles! I have taken social dancing (salsa and bachata) in several other schools too, and here they are especially good with making sure you've learned all the basics about leading and following before jumping to more complicated stuff. It's also really affordable, just $40 per week for all classes.

Fantastic experience: Viva has become my wife and mine's second house. We spend almost 8 hours there every week (if not more), and we have a great time. Most of our friends we met there, and it is an activity that makes us bond even more as a couple :) If you don't know where to start, I'd suggest any of Javiera's classes, or Bachata

Viva provides a great and safe atmosphere and culture to the students. We learn, we have fun, and we end up making friends throughout the courses we attend. Absolutely recommend.

As someone who had never danced before, I have learned over time and am now free to participate in Social dance. the encouragement I received from the lady boss helped me immensely in this process. The teachers and other staff are very welcoming whenever I go. I super like viva dance. I enjoy every moment here so much. I love this place and the people here so much.

Fantastic experience: We spent an hour with Viva Dance learning different dances for a hens do. It was a great day, and we all loved Jessie! She was super talented, and did so so well at managing 30 excited women! Viva Dance, Julie, and team were wonderful at accomodating our special requests and making it a special day. Would gladly do it all over again!

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions I made in 2023 was joining a dance fit class at viva dance. I’ve never liked the gym and I now do a number of different classes at viva every week. It truly feels like home every time I walk in the door. Any one is welcomed and appreciated. Can’t imagine a week without being apart of this community.

Fantastic experience: Everyone absolutely loved our private salsa class for a friend's hens. We had so much fun and the instructor was so charismatic. I'm from Australia but a few of the local Auckland girls definitely said they'd consider it for their own parties.

Fantastic experience: We had the BEST time at a hen's weekend burlesque with Maria! She was an incredible instructor with awesome energy and the hype to bring everyone out of their shells and dancing like no tomorrow! We also loved the music, the choreo, the pacing, the warmup, everything. It was a real highlight of the weekend for many of us. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to Maria, we really really loved having her and would super highly recommend her burlesque class as a hen's weekend activity!

Fantastic experience: We organised a burlesque class for our friend's hens and had SUCH a good time! All the girls (and even the boys who weren't quite so keen when we pitched the idea ) kept telling me how awesome it was, and Javi was the best instructor – she made it so fun for everyone. Absolutely love that we got a video of our routine too. Our bride had a perfect day!! Julie was super helpful with organising everything too. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hens activity!

Jessie was so helpful before the party and did an excellent job during the class, she was great with the children. The food and decorations were perfect and made it so much easier to organise the party when we had a lot of other things going on at the same time.

Sent again recently a few times again and no reply whatsoever. I will call as I need a refund but why you give out an email if no one answers? If I could I would give 0 stars

Fantastic experience: Superb to deal with - Viva Dance is the place to go if you are planning a Hen's dance activity. They were super efficient in getting back to me and the communication and organisation faultless. The class was amazing, our instructor superb. The Hen left extremely happy and they catered to 13 dancers easily! Super economical aswell! Can I say anymore!

Fantastic experience: My daughter was so happy with everything and especially with Maddie and the activities. She and her friends enjoyed it and loved playing in the studio. I appreciate all the beautiful decorations and fantastic food for the party. All the food was so warm, pretty and delicious. Many of my friends and my daughter’s school parents want to have their kid's birthday party at Viva Dance Studio. I highly recommend them to have a kid’s birthday party there. Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time! Javi was awesome, she was so good at getting everyone involved and making it fun and easy. There were lots of laughs and we were impressed with our little routine, and she gave us the best take away with filming it for us. Despite our amateur efforts, she made us look pretty good! All the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even the ones who felt a bit out of their comfort zone. I’ve had nothing but enthusiastic feedback from them all :)

Negative experience: I tried to book dance lessons, they told me which night was available. I then paid through to the account and confirmed the payment with them via email. They then proceeded to tell me they had booked someone else into the lesson spot instead . I have asked 4-5 times for a refund and it has now been 2 and a half weeks with nothing and no further communication. What a joke, such a rip off.

Fantastic experience: By far the largest selection of dance styles for adults. Great opportunity for anyone to learn even with 2 left feet. Plus there is a weekly Latin dance social where you can practice what you learnt but also meet new people in a non bar environment . Super awesome and fun and friendly community .

Negative experience: I have been going to the zumba classes at viva dance for over 5 years and had the bad surprise to see the price increase over the lockdown. It was 10 dollars a session of one hour and suddenly, it has become 15 dollars for 50 mn….. Just over night, we are having a 90 % price increase…. I know that small businesses suffered over the lockdown and helping each other is a priority but a 90 % increase is really too much and without explanation. Some businesses should help us to help them, not turning their back on their customers by imposing a sudden increase in prices. Pity, I will find a more affordable class somewhere else. So disappointing. Response to your response : I did try to reach you on your fb page through a fb comment which you deleted .... thus this review. I was wondering why you had an increase of 90 % when everybody is trying to make efforts to treat their client base fairly after the lockdown. 90 % if pretty unique.

Fantastic experience: The studio is rather run down and parking was a battle but the lesson and teacher were amazing! My friend and I havent danced in years and we had heaps of fun. Highly recommend the hip hop burlesque class!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Wayne for your first dance teacher! We only had a few sessions with him prior to the wedding, but he was able to help us who had no experience to a confident dance couple. He worked with us and created a choreography piece that suited out personality which had a mix of fun and structured dancing. We were very grateful to have him and enjoyed our first dance very much and it was the highlight of the wedding even though it's a couple years back now.

Fantastic experience: I am a bit biased as I used to teach there, but it's a great place to learn dance and the Sunday social in the main Latin dance social in Auckland. Because they have multiple rooms including a pole studio there are always lots of options meaning it's easy to find something you like that fits in with your schedule. I've met many friends there and have been going every week for the better part of the last decade (pandemics not withstanding). Just make sure to come early to find parking (good spots on nearby streets are limited) And it gets hot so bring a towel, an extra top and deodorant.

Negative experience: I took a course at Viva dance studios which was sold as a beginners course when it wasn’t. I ended up finding out myself without anyone ever specifying that it was, in fact, an intermediate course. I couldn’t properly follow the class as the level was too advanced. If they didn’t have a beginners course open at the time; they should have been honest and not sell it as a beginners course which I asked to be confirmed on multiple occasions. I wasted my money.

Fantastic experience: We had dance lessons for our wedding with Wayne. He was just amazing, so professional and encouraging. Filled with positive energy and we are so happy with the results. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: The instructor for my dance class in was so unfit, he could not dance along us to show us the moves. He also looked like he couldn't wait to get out of there and cut classes short. No wonder after the first class only 4 of us turned up. I had a family situation which prevented me from attending the remainding classes. My request for a refund was denied. Instead, I was quoted the Ts and Cs stated on the company website, which I had not been made aware of at the time of signing up. Since when is a customer not ENTITLED to a refund for a service they have not been provided? Shameful.

Fantastic experience: I was determined to learn Salsa dancing but quite nervous to go. It’s been the best fun !! Everyone is so kind and take time to help you get the moves. All the instructors are super friendly and helpful. The people in the beginners class are all so accepting and we’re just trying to do our best. I highly recommend Vivaldi’s Dance and I hope I continue to learn and get better.

Fantastic experience: The best place for social dance (salsa, bachata! Beautiful floor, mirrors, special rooms for kizomba and zouk. Wide range of dance classes with amazing teachers. Love this place so much!!!

Positive experience: Sunday night salsa & bachata weekly evening. Great atmosphere, lots of dancers, big dancing room... we were pleasantly surprised. It’s done in a dancing school so no bar to speak of but you can get water and sodas - and that’s all you need as a dancer! A bit hot inside so bring that extra t shirt .. Congratulations guys - this was a very nice way to end our NZ trip.
