Fantastic experience: Called in to pick up some plates as the prices were great compared to other sellers. Staff were friendly and helpful, they collected my plates quickly and I'm very happy with the quality. They will be my go-to for fitness equipment now, no idea how they are able to price so competitively.

Fantastic experience: I have a stationary bike from fitness world, which unfortunately developed a continuous internal squeak as the pedals turned which was quite irritating. Fitness world were quick to respond to my query and sorted out the noise within days. Thanks so much for helpful and speedy follow up service

Negative experience: I'm not surprised at the number of negative reviews on service! The guy who picked up the phone couldn't wait to hang up on.me! Was completely unhelpful with not an ounce of customer service skills. I was absolutely ready to buy but he just hung up on me. Guess I won't be buying off these guys Update: so this is where it gets really weird! The guy reads this review and instead of acknowledging the poor service and offering to make restitution here he sends me a nasty text! Beware of this type of behavior.

Fantastic experience: Bought a spa heat pump, was feeling really uncertain about it because I didn't know much about them... had to learn a lot about PVC but installing it myself was super easy once I knew what I was doing and gained the confidence to cut some pipes. the heat pump itself is a dream, real effective. Takes half the time to heat up than our old one did -- it was 6kW electric heater and took about 12 hours, this one takes about 6 hours and draws maybe 4kW power on average, for about 12kW output. Very pleased :) Thanks so much! One thing I took a minute to figure out was that to connect it to the app, you need to hold down the "reconnect" button on the wifi receiver (which I didn't even immediately realise was a wifi receiver). Other than that, super smooth sailing

Fantastic experience: We bought an Aerospin cycle from Fitness World. Great cycle perfect for our needs. When assembling it, we noticed there was a slight issue with one of the small wheels for moving it. Got in-touch and recieved a new one within a few days. Great service. An excellent company to deal with.

Fantastic experience: We recently dropped off my husband's Sportop exercise bike for repair. On leaving the premises, in an elderly moment, I forgot I was parked hard up against a large concrete bollard, and scraped the car badly. Tim leapt into action atop a forklift to move the bollard away from the car. Impressive work. Bike repair completed within a few days at a reasonable cost. Thanks Tim!

Negative experience: Unfortunately we purchased a treadmill from this company about 2 months ago. The Treadmill is of very poor quality and we are unable to use it due a number of faults including a terrible noise, the screen coming loose and the fact that it keeps turning itself off. Their customer service is even worse than their products. They are extremely rude and refused to refund our money. Take our advice don't buy from them - you will regret it!

Negative experience: Stopped in here today to buy a Spin-bike. The Guy in the showroom was extremely rude about the fact I had a Medical Exemption for face masks, and told me I wasn’t to come in and said the only thing my mask exemption was for, was to make me feel warm and fuzzy. Will NEVER buy a product off a company that discriminates against people with medical conditions.

Negative experience: Asked for part payment of a product and then when it arrived a month late and we said it was too late, and our circumstances had changed. They refused to return our money saying it was a "deposit." I have just lodged a claim with the court. Lisa (sales) sent rude emails to my wife and I. I would steer well clear of this business. They have no idea how to treat customers!

David Livermore is just a FOOL! and on the 2/5/22 has just lost his Case in Court against Fitness World NZ. He spent all this time and extra money to be told by the Courts that his Claim was Dismissed. He's just an idiot that seems to think he knows the law but clearly doesn't . The Court said - David Livermore agreed to the change of delivery date and cannot then cancel the contract he had with Fitness World NZ . The court also said he no longer wanted to take our goods, because he was in isolation and was moving house, both neither a reason to cancel the contact with Fitness World NZ. We already tried to explain this to David Livermore several times, but he must be just a know it all! What a slap in the face David, spending all that time and money trying to get the courts to award you money, after you cancelled an agreement to buy goods we imported just for you, costing us extra money . Next time you put bad feedback on a company tell the full story, and not just Deceitful one sided version to suit your own interests!

Fantastic experience: I purchased the Aero spin 3000, it arrived within 2 days, and was fantastic. I then tried to change the pedals, this didn't work out so well and I asked the team at Fitness World what could have gone wrong, they said drop it in and we'll fix it for you, they did this and had it ready the same day, I offered to pay they declined even though it was my mistake. great team, great service and quality equipment.

Negative experience: Never deal with these guys again, was there to collect product and paid for it with an email confirmation in writing and proof of bank transaction. Firstly could not find my physical order in their stockroom and then told me payment hadn't been received so I was going to have to wait for it (could take a few hours they said) traveled over 40 mins to get it. They ended up being really rude and canceling my order on the spot. I've worked in customer service for over 10 years and could never dream of treating a customer the way they treated me. I had to help a lady with her pool outside the shop as it was too heavy for 1 person and they didn't even offer to help. Waste of bloody time. This business is like a circus run by clowns.

Positive experience: ordered and payed for a 7ft barbell, got sent a 6ft by accident, contacted them and asked either for a swap or refund to get the correct barbell size and they told me they are shutting down for a short period and if i can wait till they are back i can keep the 6ft and compensation and still send out the correct 7ft to me. Obviously not great being shipped wrong item but they went above and beyond in terms of helping fix the issue. Cheers guys!

Negative experience: Very rude. Tried to sort a simple problem out in which i directed somewhere through accounts who did answer but was quick to send a text saying my card was declining. Rang to ask to speak with the manager only to be hung again not once but twice. Fitness world is this how you treat your customers who are trying to get things sorted and to be told also that you know nothing about it. That in itself says alot. Not very happy..and as for Tim who is suosely is the manager your proffessionalism leaves a lot to be desired dont tell me to read the contract I have read its you that has made mistake learn how talk to people not talk over them were not children

Negative experience: I respect all the other good feedback prior to us but we had very bad experience - actually we are shaken. Had to buy an exercycle for wife who had her knee replacement surgery recently. Went into the shop with wife on her crutches and was confronted by this man who was shocking...rude, almost hostile. He refused to educate us regarding the features of the machine. We requested assembly with delivery which he refused (fair enough - busy days). We took the kit set and he initially refused to give us the GST receipt (refused twice) and when we insisted, he finally threw the invoice (no names on the invoice - he didn't bother) in the back of our car. We are unable to understand why he was so rude and hostile - probably never will as never going back to him again.

Negative experience: WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVVER!!! Asked a SIMPLE question if proof of warranty is provided with purchase which is normal. The guy on the phone wouldnt answer the question directly and kept saying "12 months". Asked again if there was any documentation of warranty or a receipt just Incase of any faults, he rudely replied "Stop Obessing, wer not a scam or a tin house, Go somewhere else" and fully refunded my purchase which I was excited about!! Clearly, this guy isn't coping well with lockdown but don't put your frustrations on customers bro!! Reality check all of AKL are in the same situation!!!

Negative experience: Shocking service and extremely rude staff, not helpful at all! When called to discuss a problem with a product instead of offering advice and help they respond with immature comments and demeaning remarks! What happened to customer service? Unbelievable that multiple staff members get away with such rude behaviour on phone and on email! We will definitely be taking this further. My advice is don't purchase anything from this company, definitely not worth saving a few dollars for such something when you get such disgusting treatment!

Fantastic experience: I bought Swimming Pool Inverter Heat Pump for our underfloor heating system a few months ago. The performance is excellent even though the price would be less than half to a similar product. I was much impressed with its quietness. Unfortunately, I cannot obtain its parameter values to optimise the heat pump to our underfloor heating, but it works reasonably well with standard-setting.

Negative experience: Rubbish product received with rubbish service. We purchased a brand new 'quality exercycle'. Received and the seatpost was round & meant to go into a square hole, the front handle bars were badly manufactured & wouldn't fit into the hole. We were told to 'push hard' - it needed to be grinded to fit. It took us 1.5hours to do this by an experienced technician. Owner was rude & unhelpful on the phone, blamed covid for not answering mails.

Negative experience: Dealt with Tim, very poor customer service. He could not be bothered helping with anything. I was keen to buy a full set of dumbbells 4kg-30kg as their price was great, however I did not go through with sale as Tim couldn't be bothered with customer service, so I felt uneasy transferring money. He could barely be bothered sending an invoice, and when he did it had little to no information on it. Thumbs down, would not recommend.

Negative experience: Thanks to the insightul feedback above - shall not bother following up on prospective purchase (Customer Service is definitely a lost ART back here in NZ (ie. it doesn't matter whether or not a transaction/purchase has actually been processed / made - its all about the Communication (& this communicates more than enough that can be seen & 'unseen' ie. the 'demeanour & attitude'... EVERYONE's a prospective client... (until they're not)...;)) nb. Hint - the use of the term of platitude, 'Sorry' is not well placed, ie. mean what you say & say what you REALLY mean... ps. 1star is only as is requried to post & as we've all learnt - Sharing is Caring... Fantastic experience: Bought a new 3HP treadmill to stop me getting fat through lockdown. Timely delivery given demand, delivery bloke dropped it where we wanted it in the garage and we were able to set up no fuss. The bluetooth link with Zwift is a great feature as the treadmill raises and lowers itself

Negative experience: It is beyond me that Tim can still be working for this company, he needs to know what customer service is, ie.the customer pays his salary!! What a rude and arrogant guy he is, obviously the company head office can’t be any better than him because why is he still employed? We ask a simple question and expect a simple response, but instead we got a very “smartass” answer, and I was told by another staff member that he was just joking, well maybe the company is just a joke.

Chris Arrowsmith, You asked our staff, how many weight plates we had in stock, and he replied 50,000KG .Maybe that’s strange for you to hear we carry such big range of weight plates, but being Importers we need to carry volume of everything we Import.We can’t understand why any normal person would think that was a smart arsed reply, when in fact it was a True response to your question.If you were so upset by that answer, why did you then travel 15 minutes to our premises to spend money with us on weight plates ?Chris Arrowsmith, you are just over sensitive and two faced !

Negative experience: What and absolute joke of a.company and customer service. I received my order and did not receive my full quota. I wrote and email expressing my disappointment about this and was told to get inline,everyone is unhappy. I requested my money back and was told to go to spec.savers. on the site is false advertising to as they quote 70kg weights attached to an olimpic bar. The total I had to pay for 6 weight of which two have not been received was over $400 with NO bar so what's the point. Don't order from these guys they are rubbish.

Negative experience: Arrogant and rude costumer service Wow. How dare you. This is how you talk to people? Do you have zero social skills? Disgusting. I gave you my card details. I offered to come in or pay via internet banking multiple times. I don't know why your system didnt work but I offered multiple options to come in and pay. Online purchase was simple and the cross trainer arrived as described. A minor delay but that was expected post lockdown. Pretty straight forward to assemble. Positive experience: The team were very helpful when I phoned, and gave good advice. The delivery of the cross trainer was a little slow but this was not the fault of Fitness World. It shipped from Store to the Wellington Freight Depot overnight, it just took another 4 days for local delivery (weekend included) so a little disappointing. (but its been a bit that way post lock down). Having said that the delivery lady did offer to help me carry it inside and at 50kg that was appreciated. However I have a 20 year old son, so used him. All the parts arrived and it was well packaged. Assembly was a bit frustrating. The machine is made with such fine margins (a good thing) but it meant that I really had to put a lot of physical strength in to aligning the base of the handles. (quite frustrating and I was worried I might strip a bolt. However in the end Brute force won. SO assembly was a bit of a pain, but once it was complete my daughter has loved using it. It is a really good quality piece of equipment. but where possible I would probably pay the extra to get them to deliver and put it together. Especially if you are a little older. Overall though they are awesome, the kit good and it really competitively priced

Fantastic experience: Prompt communication during lockdown. Accurate advice on stock, price and future shipments. Good set up for click and collect. Although disappointed didn't see courier option it led to hubby driving me there with dog and grandchild in tow. We got to check out a dog park nearby and had a totally awesome day. The rowing machine was repaired this week and I couldn't be happier.

Fantastic experience: Purchased a set of weights and bench recently. Equipment was delivered promptly and at a reasonable cost. Communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend this vendor to others.

Negative experience: really rude person on the phone, no customer service at all. P.S. - the owner of the business just replied after 9 months, and instead of trying to find out what went wrong he claimed I'm a telemarketer and he went on and made false comments and being an even bigger imbecile than he already was. Take a look around on how many negative reviews with people saying the exact same thing as I did and you'll see that not only you require psychiatric evaluation, because you're clearly delusional, you are just less of a man, and I'm sorry for you because you must had wrongful parents when growing up. Seek help mate.

Negative experience: No customer Service does company have ,the customer service agent BEN was so rude i couldn't believe it.i have worked for a call centre for the past 10 years an this agent was so rude i cannot believe he has a job. we had recently purchased a home gym from the company initially we thought we would set up the gym ourselves but it seemed to technical so we thought i would ask the company if they knew anyone around our area they quoted me $140 when asked what company is that ? Ben replied back with " does it matter what company" SERIOUSLY !! yes it does matter ,yes it does matter that i wanna what company will be coming into my house.When i went back to the live chat he came up again i asked to speak to somebody else a he replied back with " stop wasting my time" like seriously who hired him ?? im shock an disturbed how CSR agents treat customers who pay for they wages

Totally unfair review. This person had purchased a gym from us and we bent over backwards to try and arrange an after hours assembly option for her , but she just exploded over absolutely nothing.Maybe she doesn’t have a proper understanding of English as its was a totally unnecessary way to go about, dealing with someone trying to help her.

Fantastic experience: Made a purchase based on google review and not seeing the item. Delivery was super fast and item was better than initially though. The couple of extra questions I had were answered very quickly and were very helpful. High recommend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service! I was trying to source a monitor part for an Elliptical cross trainer - I live in Australia and couldn't source the part here or overseas. Spoke with Darryl Kay of Fitness World NZ - Darryl sourced the part, set up a special payment facility and I paid for the part and shipping costs. Darryl then contacted me and advised that he would be in Sydney Australia for that weekend, would I like to pick up the part for his hotel reception and if so he would refund the shipping costs. I said no problem, I picked the part and received the refund - I have never had such great service - 5 stars with bells on - thank you Darryl and Fitness World NZ

Fantastic experience: Can not fault this company - they have gone above and beyond to help us. The staff were so helpful when we needed advice to assemble and when we needed help with the display screen issue "Yes we had a part breakdown" but they were so quick to fix it sending us out multiple parts to try and fix the issue and they arrived next day.

Fantastic experience: Brought a treadmill from their website, sight unseen, which was delivered promptly the next day. Unfortunately, the treadmill was too big and had to be returned. The return and refund were processed quickly with no hassle. Great customer service. Staff on site were friendly, and helpful.
