Love Yoga Taupo

Fantastic experience: Debi has been my yoga teacher for the last 4 years, I started my yoga journey when I was 62, she is an experienced teacher with a positive and fun attitude. Debi has a great understanding of anatomy and how to deal with injuries, she has the right balance of movement, breath and mind. As a mature student with a dodgy knee I always feel Im in safe hands. I found the right mix of yoga for me with Gentle Hatha and the more challenging Ashtanga Just like Debi all the Love Yoga classes are taught by experienced teachers who bring their expertise and technical knowledge to help their students improve their practise. When I can’t make it to class - I go to her on-line classes so I’m not missing out of a good stretch.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Debi's classes for many years and have done both the Ashtanga classes and the Hatha ones.I always gain so much from the classes and have made many friends from attending. Debi is so very knowledgeable about all aspects of yoga and the human body and shares this in a very caring and considerate way. She is a real inspiration and a wonderful person to enjoy yoga with.

Fantastic experience: Love Yoga Taupo is a warm, welcoming, and friendly studio. Debi is knowledgable, helpful, thorough, and patient. With a hands on approach to teaching that I understand as being synonymous with the Ashtanga school of yoga. Her classes involve synchronizing the breath with progressive and continuous postures, which you learn as you go. While learning the postures can be humbling and does take perseverance and a certain amount of self motivation, it is very rewarding and well worth the effort. You gradually learn a practice that you may also do in your own time. I pick up something new in every single class and always leave feeling calmer and more energized. I would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic experience: I have attended this Yoga Studio for a few years and have found Debi to be an excellent Teacher.She has always been professional ,knowledgeable, a great communicator and inspirational.I highly recommend Love Yoga Taupo

Negative experience: The teacher seemed very knowledgeable but she had a very unorganized and confusing teaching method. It was a self led beginners class and I seemed to be the only beginner. There was much more individual attention than I was comfortable with, too many hands on adjustments. She would tell me to put my feet together and then as I’m moving my feet together she would shove them together. Which implies that she thinks I don’t know what put my feet together means. Very rude. She would tell me one or two asanas and then do her rounds around the class checking in on everyone else and I would be left waiting and wondering what’s next. In fact the last half hour of the class she didn’t give me a single direction. So I was on my own with no guidance and no idea what to do so I just did my own yoga instead. I found no flow, or enjoyment in this class.

Fantastic experience: Love Yoga is exactly the best name for this an excellent studio and Debi a great teacher with a warmth that is good for body and mind! Highly recommended!
