Founded by Charlotte Witheford, a passionate foodie and Pilates enthusiast, Pilates Recipe emerged from a personal journey of discovering the incredible benefits of Pilates. After battling neck and shoulder discomfort from her desk job as a Landscape Architect, Charlotte delved into the world of Pilates and quickly became captivated by its transformative power. This inspired her to transition into teaching, ensuring that others can also experience the joys of Pilates.

Fantastic experience: I reconnected with Pilates after a 15 year break and chose Pilates Recipe because of Charlotte's extensive knowledge, holistic approach and genuine care found within a boutique studio setting. I find the balance between the twice weekly mat and equipment classes to be beneficial to both body and mind, and feel fortunate that I have found exactly where I need to be to continue on my Pilates journey.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Charlotte for Pilates early in pregnancy, the sessions were great and always targeted to how I was feeling on the day. I strongly believe that regular Pilates with Charlotte was the reason my body felt so great and coped well with pregnancy and birth. It has also helped with a speedy recovery post-birth, 10/10 would recommend to women during and after pregnancy!

Her knowledge and understanding guided me through this important time and helped me manage and care for my changing body. Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I found Pilates Recipe! Skilled teaching in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. I have chronic pain issues and was almost at the point where I felt it was better to do nothing than risk possible injury and feel worse. Now I'm feeling like every class is an opportunity to help myself and I'm sure I'm getting stronger and more flexible.

The antenatal & postnatal classes have been brilliant for giving me more movement, easing aches and pains, and building strength through pregnancy, labour and caring for a baby.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend one-on-one sessions or the mums and bubs classes for any new mums looking to heal and strengthen. Charlotte has really helped my postpartum hips, core and back - I am so grateful. Classes are small, babies are very welcome and even cuddled by Charlotte if they need a little hug during your class.
Fantastic experience: I have been taking part in Charlotte’s antenatal Pilates classes for the majority of my pregnancy and I can’t more highly recommend her as a teacher. My body feels well balanced after each class and I feel confident in her knowledge about the pregnant body. She is also very supportive and flexible offering the option to attend her classes over zoom- great on those days you are feeling tired and need to rest but want to have the option to exercise when you are feeling better.
Fantastic experience: I attended antinatal Pilates and am currently going to postnatal mums and bubs classes. It has been a fantastic journey. Pilates helped with my body’s aches and pains during pregnancy and gave me an understanding how manage my pelvic floor. I had natural birth. I feel like my body has recovered well. The pilates has helped with this. Charlotte is a great teacher. She explains exercises well, why they are important and how to use them in day to day life. She goes over and above for your individual needs! She also does zoom classes if you can’t make it to the session

Fantastic experience: The studio is lovely, with great equipment and a really calm feel. Charlotte is very perceptive and great at tailoring exercise options to fit a range of needs. Sessions can be designed around injury management, core and control work as well as general well-being and more. Would highly recommend Pilates Recipe.
Fantastic experience: I have been with Charlotte almost two years now and that tells you how much I value the work she does. I came to see her because of difficulties in movements around the hip area that affected my knees and my back as well. Those niggles impacted on simple things that we take for granted, for instance walking down the stairs of even bending the knees to put on a piece of clothing. Pilates exercises look simple but they actually require firing the right muscles and when done correctly, you're giving yourself a newer and freer body. Charlotte helps out with pointing out which body parts you need to pay attention to when doing the pilates exercises. I love the way she explains why and how you need to do things and she does it in a way so that you can relate and actually understand them. Pilates requires a lot of inquiry about your own body and Charlotte helps you through that journey. In the past I have limited activities just because my body would not allow me to engage in a lot of things but with Charlotte's help I am now able to do so much more. Charlotte is an excellent teacher, she has an honest spirit and a beautiful soul, true to herself and true to her Pilates practice and that shows in the way she teaches. If you want to try Pilates go to Charlotte, its THE only pilates place.
