Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with James for the last 1.5 years focusing on strength and conditioning training to help enhance my performance in Taekwon-Do. James has a wealth of knowledge in his field and tailors each programme specifically to focus on what I need to improve on. Since working with James, the focus of working on strength and power skills has helped me immensely in my training and allowed me to compete at a higher level. Last year our main focus was preparing for the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships held in Finland, where I came away with a gold medal in my individual event and silver medal in my team event. This year, our main focus has been preparing for the World Cup Championship held in Argentina. I have loved training with James as he takes the time to understand your goals and how to achieve them in the best possible way for you. If you are looking to achieve your next sporting/ fitness goals I would highly recommend James as your next PT !
Fantastic experience: I thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience working with James. This included training in the Onerō gym, gym programs and onfield football specific movement sessions too. James is extremely knowledgable in his field and I have felt great results in my performance on the pitch. He goes the extra mile and has taught me how to be a better athlete too.
Fantastic experience: James kindly "took me on" for 3 weeks. Clearly a very knowledgeable, skilled and personable Trainer. Adaptive to the client and their strengths and weaknesses. Both being British we were also able to discuss and complain about the state of UK politics and the motorways. Would recommend without qualm.

Fantastic experience: I am a masters athlete keen to improve my performance on the hockey field, and I love working with James to achieve this and would highly recommend him to others. Fantastic experience: A super supportive and welcoming gym (as someone who is not particularly sporty I’m often intimidated by gyms but that couldn’t be further from my experience here). Fantastic experience: I've been going to PT sessions with James twice a week for three months now. I'm a woman in my late 40's, with an executive high-pressure job, with little time to exercise. I've tried plenty of gyms and PTs over the last decade but can never stick to it. I also have knee issues and have had two slipped discs over the last 3 years so have been very nervous about having this happen again. I've been fearful and have been in a rut for a long time, while being very unhappy about my overall fitness and weight. From day 1, James has been focused on my overall health and didn't weigh me, do BMI assessments etc. He pays attention to each exercise and my form, with the emphasis on long term, sustainable, pain reduction and better fitness levels overall. The change I've noticed in this 3-month period has been remarkable. James challenges me every session and pushes my limits, but within a totally safe and supportive environment. I'm already so much stronger, my back and knees are much improved, and my overall fitness is improving every day. For the first time in forever, I can see a future where health and fitness are embedded in my lifestyle, and I have James to thank for that. I would wholeheartedly recommend James as a Personal Trainer, particularly if you're apprehensive and looking for someone that will treat you as a whole person and build you up at every opportunity.
Fantastic experience: We signed our 13 year old son up with James to work with him as a performance coach. Māia has played rugby since he was 4 and we wanted someone who had the patience and expertise to give our son all the tools and support he requires as he grows to be the best athlete he can be. Our son has been thriving with James and recently shaved time off his 100m sprint coming in at 13.01. Previous race time was 13.51. He is building up his strength and knowledge at the same time. Fantastic experience: I really enjoy working with James. After a back injury I was nervous about lifting heavy weights. I worked with James on technique, mobility and training approach and my confidence is back and I'm lifting much heavier weights than prior to my injury! James has a great approach to teaching and we really get into the details & science of training which I really enjoy.

Fantastic experience: I started my training with James since Nov last year. I learnt a lot from sessions we had, e.g., different type of squats, training on core, legs, arms and etc. It helped me to build the confidence to do some workouts by myself. Fantastic experience: Amazing trainer - can't say enough about James! He's got great knowledge, patience, and meets you at your level. If you're hesitant about PT definitely give it a go. James made regular exercise way easier for me. I originally came for help getting back into the gym and to build my confidence after a nagging injury. Fantastic experience: James is an amazing trainer with a vast knowledge of the human body. He will ensure your posture and form is always correct and will challenge you in numerous different ways to push you out of your comfort zone and see great results. Unlike many personal trainers, James never accepts poor form and every work out feels like value for money. I wouldn't use anyone else, great guy and great results.
