Positive experience: Easy family walk. Leads you to the glacier Lake that can give you a perfect still reflection of Mt Cook, on a clear day. Very popular track so be aware that it can be pretty busy as soon as the sky has risen. Would suggest some good shoes but hiking shoes aren't necessary. Camera is worth being carried.
