Fantastic experience: Nice coaches for young kids
Negative experience: We started my 5 year olds first session a couple of weeks ago. The coach was letting all the kids do the activity at the same time so she couldn't supervise properly and it seemed quite dangerous for young beginners. Near the end of the session my daughter fell and hit her head and came running out to me crying, the coach did not notice. I have tried to email to let them know what happened and asked if it would always be like this but I have not had a reply so sadly will not be back.

Fantastic experience: I love taking my twin boys to the preschool class! My younger and fitter self lives vicariously through them as they jump, climb and tumble in each class. Big plus is one of my twin boys now asks me every Friday night before bed if gymnastics class is on. I love being able to say YES! The coaches are just lovely and also reception. The vibe is warm and we thank you all for having such a wonderful space for my boys to learn and enjoy the beautiful art form that is gymnastics. Thank you team! Fantastic experience: Definitely a party highlight for my 8 year old daughter. The coaches were amazing and the kids had so much fun!

Negative experience: The young coaches are amazing, the receptionist is friendly however the experience was ruined by a woman who identified herself as the 'Club Manager'. She was at the club on 12/02/24 at 5pm. This woman definitely lacked club values, particularly team culture. Her communication was toxic and and she showed no respect. After a prior consultation with reception, I brought a young child along for a trial to which this 'Manager' attempted to belittle and embarrass the boy and myself. From what I gathered, she was unhappy with how the trial was arranged and proceed to over ride what the receptionist had said. For clarity, there were 5 children and 2 coaches for this particular class. She was one of the most pretentious people I have had the displeasure of meeting. It is a shame that this one person has tarnished the good work of the rest of the team at Waitakere gymnastics.
Thank you for your feedback and we are proud of our young coaches and their gymnastics delivery.We apologise for the interaction and experience you had while trying to trial a class. We do not have any record of a trial being organised with reception or paid for prior to the session.Our club manager is responsible for the Health and Safety of our members and coaches this includes keeping groups within ratio. As she explained, we cannot offer trials when our programs are fully booked. During this session we had 11 children attending and our two coaches on this session were being trained to deliver the program. You proceeded to enter the gymnastics floor area to approach the coaches to discuss this further. Thus, again creating another health and safety issue as there were gymnasts training and coaches setting up equipment. You were asked to wait and view the class from the mezzanine floor.We have met with our Club Manager to discuss the situation and her response. We are confident she will continue to support our programs, staff and members with a positive attitude and has the safety and happiness of our members as a high priority. Fantastic experience: We had our son's 8th birthday here - what an amazing, fantastic value venue! Lovely coaches, great gymnastics apparatus, spacious birthday room and we had the gym to ourselves. The kids had a blast - thank you!

Negative experience: Bad experience so far. No one answers the phone, they don't reply voice messages, they don't reply emails. We tried contacting them for information but it was impossible. My daughter booked a class online to try, they offered just one paying method that our bank deems as unsafe and not recommended. We payed anyway. On the day of the booking we got delayed at work we were running late, the traffic was very heavy, we knew we wouldn't make it so we tried calling several times, and emailed to reschedule the booking. We never got any answers. It seems there are no human beings there. I want this booking rescheduled or my money back, and I would like to know if there is a phone number or email where we can actually contact this place.

Louise has said she has been in touch with you and your daughter is able to change the date of the class and has also rescheduled you again at your request to suit your timetable so all good there. We do apologise but hope we've made it up to you enough that you could change your 1 star rating. Enjoy the class! Thank you

Positive experience: Everything is good,, the coach, the way they teach, the information they give BUT why there is no fan or any such aircon ??? It’s unbelievable hot there when children are practicing.. it’s summer guys please take this into consideration and put good aircon or FEW FANS there... please it’s summer for god sake.

Positive experience: Do you guys have a basket ball court that can be used?
There is not one inside the venue but there is a public basket ball court just outside. Help yourself!
Fantastic experience: do yo do competitions there?
Yes we do recreational and competitive competitions throughout the year, mostly from May - September.
