Fantastic experience: Fear all gone & nothing but fun had her for my 9yo son. Giving the diving board & the slide a go. Life guards fully alert, friendly and kind. Great evening spent meeting the teachers & parents evening with a sausage sizzle & swim.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go, loved relaxed yet fun atmosphere. Nice water, doesn't sting your eyes with the usual chlorine sting. Love that there is a grass area at the far end of pools to relax in the sun.

Fantastic experience: Great pool with very cheap entry. Can get super crowded in summer and on the weekends though, so make sure you pick the days you head along.

Fantastic experience: Great on a sunny day, slide is a bunch of fun and it's so much cheaper than the splash. Def going here again

Positive experience: Love this pool. Good summer vibes. Dive boatd, hydroslide, lanes and toddler pool, free bbq. Awesome old school outdoor pool and great admission prices ‍♂️‍♀️⛑

Fantastic experience: When they are open they're a fantastic place to take the family. There are 3 different sized pools, 1for adults, 1 for children and 1 fenced in pool just for the babies. There is a beautifully shaded BBQi-picnic area which is on a well maintained lawn, perfect for a wee rest in between swims.

Negative experience: toilets and building were rank with urine also smelled of pee beside picnic tables and shallow pool. I dont blame staff for peoples decision to wee out in public places definitely need sanitizing and maintaining. Problem would likely be fixed with an upgrade by now seeing how old and grotty the toilets are it Was pretty gross. But staff are lovely the vibe is great with good music.We didnt stick around too long though smell was a right put off.

Positive experience: Fantastic beautiful non crowded pool crystal clear water even though it is chlorinated I do not get stingy eyes or feel like I am breathing it in. While the changing rooms are basic the beautiful pool makes up for it. Reminds me of swimming at the town baths when I grew up in the 60's.

Negative experience: Should be open all year round bloody useless the swimming in Whanganui is below par

Fantastic experience: Great pool. But why was it closed at 4pm after advertising it was to be open from eleven this morning till five tonight? I wanted to buy concession tickets for my grandchildren for Christmas, but there was no answer at the Pools office. So I went down and it was all closed up. I wish they would put a notice on the door, or a post on the webpage.
