Negative experience: 1 star I strongly advise women to avoid this gym. I experienced intimidation and an aggressive outburst from another member, and the way management handled my complaint was unsafe, inconsistent, and deeply unprofessional. The gym claims to have cameras across the floor, yet when I reported the incident, management reviewed only selective, edited, or incomplete footage. The full footage was available — I know this — yet they chose to look only at the pieces that suited them. This made it feel as if the priority was protecting certain individuals rather than protecting a member who raised a legitimate safety concern. There were major inconsistencies throughout their investigation. The manager told me the member had been blocked for a month “while they sorted it out,” yet the owner later admitted this was untrue and that the member was supposedly blocked for unrelated personal reasons. If something as basic as that can’t be answered consistently, it raises serious questions about what else was mishandled. I have trained in gyms for over 25 years, and I have never experienced anything like this. A serious harassment and intimidation complaint should trigger clarity, transparency, and genuine duty of care — not delays, avoidance tactics, selective CCTV review, and contradictory explanations. Instead of addressing the behaviour, the gym ultimately blocked me and terminated my membership after I reported the incident. This is the complete opposite of what any member should expect from a safe and professionally run facility. I later discovered that this gym is not aligned with any recognised industry regulatory body (including Exercise New Zealand or REPs). There is no external code of ethics or accountability, and that became glaringly obvious in how this entire situation was managed. I can only speak to my own experience, but based on everything I went through, I strongly urge other women to think twice before joining this gym. Safety and transparency were absolutely not upheld here.

We would like to re-clarify the steps we took as soon as this matter was brought to our attention.
We followed up with all parties involved, including witnesses, and reviewed the relevant CCTV footage of the verbal exchange between yourself and the other member. Bystanders indicated that both parties, including yourself and the other member, entered into the exchange of words, and neither of you took action to de-escalate the situation.
We contacted you directly to discuss your concerns in detail. Following that conversation, and because we take all safety-related reports seriously, we formally filed a police report. All CCTV footage relevant to the timeframe you specified was compiled and submitted in full as part of that investigation. Nothing was edited, removed, or selectively reviewed as your accusations allege. The complete footage was provided to the authorities to ensure an independent and transparent assessment. A police file number was issued for this incident. The police took no further action.
Throughout this process, we repeatedly explained that the matter had been handed over to the police to be handled professionally, rather than through assumptions or accusations.
Unfortunately, despite our ongoing communication and efforts to address your concerns, your frequency, tone and behaviour toward our staff became increasingly hostile and distressing. We have a responsibility to maintain a respectful environment for both members and employees, and your continued harassment of staff will not be tolerated.
For this reason, and only after repeated attempts to resolve the matter respectfully, we made the decision to end your membership.
Our priority has always been the safety and wellbeing of everyone who uses our facilities. That is why we followed a formal process, sought external oversight, and submitted all evidence directly to the authorities to ensure an unbiased review of this verbal exchange.

There was plenty of equipment, like treadmills, weights, and machines, so I never felt stuck waiting. The atmosphere was motivating and not too crowded, which made me feel comfortable while working out. Overall, it’s a welcoming gym with everything you need. I would recommend it to other teenagers who are starting their fitness journey.

Positive experience: Gym area is clean but the showers are gross and have brown buildup which shows they aren't cleaned thoroughly. Would suggest bathmats and toilet spray as well. Also filter on water tap has been red since I started.

The gym is super clean, the atmosphere is focused and motivating, and there’s even a dedicated Booty Builder area for glute training, which I think is such a cool and unique feature. Everyone seems really committed to their workouts, and it’s such a positive environment.
