Snap Fitness 24-7 Hornby

Fantastic experience: Have recently started frequenting Snap fitness Hornby on days where I work from home as it is much easier to get to from my home in Halswell compared to Snap CBD and Snap Barrington. It will likely become my go-to gym when I begin at my new job soon. This is a great gym - very friendly management, clean facilities, good atmosphere, and very spacious. Have also noticed that it is not nearly as busy as other gyms that I've been to at both lunchtime and 5pm. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere staff are very helpful and friendly

Positive experience: The gym still holds a sense of nostalgia for me, as it was the place where I began my fitness journey, and it remains a suitable option for those primarily focused on their workouts. However, ever since Chantelle, the previous manager, left, the overall quality of the facilities has significantly declined. The cleanliness of the bathrooms has deteriorated, and some of the equipment is now outdated. Amenities that were once available, such as deodorants, tissues, and feminine hygiene products, are no longer provided. It's evident that under Chantelle's management, the gym was better maintained and more thoughtfully equipped. Additionally, one of the trainers has a somewhat passive-aggressive demeanor, which detracts from the overall atmosphere.

Negative experience: Pin loaded machines are out of date, poorly maintained (missing handles, loose screws, loose cables) and dirty. Missing dumbbells, cardio equipment is prehistoric and not enough barbells for all the racks. The bathrooms are disgusting and the smell of the gym reminds me of an old Rec Centre. Won’t be coming back

Negative experience: Not too much alternatives around so you kind have to pick the less worst. It's OK if you go outside peak times. Not too much equipment and not very well maintained. It is what it is. The worst part is that only have 2 showers. How is this even allowed for a gym of this size? Waiting for a free shower at the moment and I will be late for work. A bit ridiculous if you ask me

Negative experience: Very dissapointed in snap fitness. We were told we could cancel our membership at any time and it would be cancelled on the day. Now we are being told we are being hit with another month of fees because they hid a clause in the fine print. Machines have been broken for 7 months including the water filter, presumably so people will buy drinks from their dispenser. Shame on you snap fitness.

Fantastic experience: Going regularly allows me to be honest, amazing equipment friendly staff and generally there's not to many people in there so you can workout freely with no distractions. There's water available wipes for cleaning down equipment, and even a shower for after your workout .

Fantastic experience: The experience was good, the staff were enthusiastic, and the muscular friends who worked out were also very friendly. The environment was very quiet, and I like this type of thing. I highly recommend coming here

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness Hornby’s team and gym facility was excellent. There are lots of weights for compound lifts needed for power-lifting and strength training. Which was a strong seller for me. The toilets and bathrooms were always clean and tidy. The wall of honour was a great motivator and all the PT’s were kind and knowledgeable, shout out to Mike. The staff at reception were always helpful and friendly too. The overall gym culture was positive and friendly. I strongly recommend Snap Fitness Hornby.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in terms of the amount of people that goes here. Not too crowded but it can be crowded during peak times. Plenty of toilets AND shower (phenomenal experience). Only 2 downsides are; there are plenty of machines however some of them are already a bit old (typical snap fitness thing though). The other one is its weekly price, not as cheap compared to Anytime. The staff over here are SOOO nice (shout out to Mike). There had been a lot of shuffling with the staff for the past few months (i think they changed the Club Manager 3x ). BUT Chantelle who’s the current Club Manager now is so awesome! I’ve been seeing some changes around the club and its exciting! (More engagement w its members). Overall a pretty solid gym, I’d rather go here rather than the other gym in the area + lots of parking as well and can accommodate all members even during peak times. Lastly other members are also very nice and chill. Never had a bad experience w anyone ever and I’ve been a member w them for over a year now. Overall pretty rad experience, can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym, staff are super friendly and so are other members. Even busy periods aren't too bad compared to other places. Good range of machines, free weights and cardio. Good room off main area for floor/mat exercises.

Positive experience: A year ago this was a tired, run down gym with a new manager. It is amazing the transformation that she has managed to make in that relatively short time. The machines have been refurbished, new equipment has been added and the standard of the gym is now very, very good. It has plenty of space and is not overcrowded. The other gym users are friendly. I would recommend this gym to others.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Snap Hornby for sixth months now and I could not of been happier signing up at this gym the staff that work there are always greeting you with their happy smile. The trainer there by the name of Mike is awesome. The knowledge this guy has and the positive attitude has made a massive difference in my goal of training for the fire service. I am amazed with the progress I have made since the day I stepped in the door of the gym if you are looking for a good gym With amazing staff and awesome people that go there and a knowledgeable and professional Trainer I say look no further than Snap Hornby you will not be disappointed. Negative experience: I was so unimpressed when I signed up. I was told this is busier than the gym normally gets when I trialled so was happy to sign up. I understand new members come but honestly was just too much. Also told there was no difference in paying weekly, fortnightly or monthly but there is as I was charged a direct debit fee EVERY week. The gym bathrooms were also unclean and machines constantly under performing. One of your “ambassadors” is quite a rude person to be around at the gym, never putting his weights and equipment back, taking over a whole area with no means to move and make room for other people. I don’t understand how you can promote such a person. I am throughly disappointed in this gym.

Negative experience: I have a friend that went for a PT session and was shocked to hear about her experience. The PT gave her a spreadsheet with an exercise programme and youtube links without walking her through the exercises/how to use the machines. Going to the gym as a complete beginner can be overwhelming when you’ve never used the machines before. When she asked for a walk through the PT told her she would have to book/pay for additional 1 hr sessions in bulk! It’s not encouraging at all to have to attempt a programme on your own when you don’t know what weight to start with nor how to use proper form. I would not pay $100+ for a programme and no further guidance

Negative experience: Worse gym ever stop member ship been snap fitness for 4years. ripp you off. email fill papper work out have proof I canelled and they stop payments for while then start payments up again and said I never canelled. They put to collection place after I block from bank. and the collection place they agreed I had cancel so they told snap they won't do it. But yet snap add more money on every week say we owe for member ship. Ps bank told me they do this all the time ..

Positive experience: Small gym, good during day and after 8pm. Busy at peaks and small number of equipment makes it difficult to get a good workout in between 5pm to 7pm

Fantastic experience: My favorite gym, friendly staff! Massive with lots of variety of equipment. Personal favourites are it has a deadlift platform,a step machine and a sled!
