Negative experience: My family and I Have been long time members and no issues until recently. I have had an on going issue with my back on and off, when Royce was there, he assisted with that by letting me put my membership on hold for a couple of months. I came back for a period of time and needed some time again due to back, and they would not allow me the pause time on membership without a doctor's cert...I am going to the physio for this ongoing issue, but they wouldn't accept a letter from them. I've had no help at all, just short answers until Nicola got involved.

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym in hamilton, very supportive and welcoming staff and overall good comunity vibe, come in and give it a go.

Fantastic experience: First time to see a gym with such a friendly atmosphere. Both management team and members. Clean and organized, greetings by name with a smile that is very natural. Equipments are clean and well maintained. Kudos to the whole management team they never runout of ideas to do new activities for the members to enjoy and things to improve the gym more every time.

Fantastic experience: Avalon Anytime fitness is my favourite gym of all time. They have a great range of weights, machines and cardio equipment. All of the staff are always incredibly helpful and friendly. It's usually quiet enough to have access to any gym equipment you like. If you come during peak time, sure it might be busy but the people and community at Avalon cannot be beat. The gym is spacial and has tons of natural light and a view of the intersection. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Have been going to the gym for many years now but have noticed great improvements in the last year and this has made working out there so much better. Always great to be greeted by the team when you enter and then made to feel welcome like whanau. All the improvements to the gym have really made a huge difference and now I really don’t like missing a day.

Fantastic experience: I Have recently joined Anytime in Avalon after being at a few other places and I must admit I have never felt so comfortable in any other gym. Everyone is so friendly and the staff Never fail to say Hi or growl me for missing a day lol ( In a joking manner ) This place makes me look forward to going everyday. I Highly recommend especially if this kind of setting makes you a tad anxious and your new or just want an environment that feels like your at home with family :) 10000/10

Fantastic experience: Paige and Oj have the facilities constantly in top notch conditions! The space is always clean and tidy and the equipment is always being maintained with super speedy repairs when things start to show signs of wear and tear. I started coming here because it’s not as packed as other locations and very fast became a regular at Avalon. The staff are friendly and approachable and will do their best to support you to reach your goals regardless of what those are! My favourite part of my day is coming to the gym!

Fantastic experience: I have been to all of the AF Clubs in Hamilton and this is undoubtedly my favourite. I live in Hamilton East, but travel here everyday because of much I love it. A special mention to Paige, she is one of a kind and the best Manager I have met around if you’re unsure about joining, trust me you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for a while now and I can honestly say it is the best gym in the area. The gym is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. There are plenty of equipments to choose from, whether you want to do cardio, strength training, or functional fitness. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The best part is that the gym is not so crowded, especially at rush hours. I never have to wait for a machine or a bench. I can always find a spot to work out comfortably and safely. This gym is worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to exercise. One of the better AF gyms in the area.

Negative experience: id go there more regularly but i cant go on the treadmill due to all the glare coming through the window, doesn't seem to have any glare protection or screen on the window to avoid headaches; nothings being done about it which is a shame, most of my workout is cardio so i have to go to a different gym

Fantastic experience: I have been to 3 out of 4 of the Hamilton ATF gyms. I find Avalon to be the biggest & spacious of these gyms. It has recently been redecorated and a couple of new machines added. The staff are helpful and the bathrooms are big. I like the new look.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful, kind staff. Encouraged me to use their free pass option as I’m in town only a few weeks but have back pain. Using their gym has made a great difference so I’ll use their casual membership now. Good range of equipment, stretching area, clean bathrooms.

Negative experience: Its very average, in my opinion poorly managed. Nothings done about the people that believe they're above wiping gear down or restacking weights after use. Alot of the equipment is poorly maintained with handels sliding off and feet rubbers missing. Iv emailed management about this, but clearly they aren't interested and dont reply. Good location for us however which is the only reason we still go! 6 of my mates have left this gym due to the reasons above.
