Positive experience: Uni Rec was a good gym to workout at but there's 1 problem tho Crowd Dj's location is pretty faulty and wrong can you please fix it?

Negative experience: We felt ignored and uncomfortable during the tour. The person leading didn’t treat us equally.Not a welcoming vibe. What I understand is Gym should make us feel motivated — this one didn’t.

Negative experience: The online customer service is extremely slow and bad

Positive experience: I’ve been using this gym for the last 10-12 months, and I love it. The price is good for long-term subscriptions but extremely expensive for a day pass. It would be better to offer some flexibility for regular customers when comes for few day casuals. Overall, it’s a great facility.

Fantastic experience: I have had a look around the Waikato University gym. It is a very sizable place to have various types of workouts. I can recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: I can't say I have much experience with gyms... but the team here are so friendly and welcoming! I always look forward to my yoga and zumba classes on Mondays ♡ They have a lovely range of gym equipment, a vreat variety of free classes and apparently even a swimming pool! Change rooms are nice and clean with lots of locker spaces.

Negative experience: Squash courts are lacking a lot of maintenance. Lights at front of court been out for several weeks. Other court closed with roof leak for several weeks too. Disappointing. Not going back.

Positive experience: I like the gym and the equipment and the staff are really great, except when you actually want anything done. They will not respond to contact unless basically forced to and even then getting a response is often late and when you've already sorted it with the staff in house. They also do not make the gym goers follow any of the hygiene rules including using towels or wiping down equipment and this seems especially prevelant for the males. I am for this reason thankful that wet wipes are so ready available, as you have to wipe down all equipment before use as well. Basically so long as you have no issues with your membership, or account at all and are happy to wipe other people's sweat off the machines, it's a great place to work out

Negative experience: I emailed Evie and the other lady as instructed by receptionist of Unirec to discuss a refund for the SOE gym that happened during lockdown. Almost a year now, and they haven't replied. I've been booking with them and it's usually prompt reply but when it comes to refunding me money over a matter I had no control of, there was just silence, they possibly ignored my email.

Positive experience: A friendly and professional experience at Unirec. They have everything a budding Gym Bunny could possibly want...from spin bikes, stair climbers to indoor pools. Plus there's every other piece of equipment one could want thats carefully maintained by friendly expert onsite staff (Hi Rolly). And did It mention fitness classes?!? There's something for everyone...see you there!!!

Positive experience: Decent gym but no clear communications around lockdown and relatively arbitrary rules around no guests under level 2, a lot of poor communication that was a bit frustrating to deal with at times. Really only got 1/4 value out of my membership here, but lots of equipment with good parking and all good facilities.

Positive experience: Good. Takes a long time to repair machines though, especially in the weight room.

Positive experience: Friendly staff. The warm welcome when u walk in makes one feel part of the gym...The only thing I wld suggest to contribute to facility improvement - pls install a couple more hooks/hangers inside shower cubicles. Just the one is not sufficient. The other day my clean fresh knickers fell off the one hook on to the wet floor and... there was nothing I cld do. I m sure u'd agree wet knickers are not exactly nice. Ngā mihi. Z

Negative experience: If you want to play game of netball without a ref this is the place for you. The refs are unbelievably terrible that they might as well not be there. Perhaps if they moved around they might be able to see the game being played. And they don't have the balls to call out abuse on the court. If you're thinking of playing her, dont!!!! Go to action indoor sport, you pay more but its worth of for a fair game and decent refs. Was almost going to say you get what you pay for but with these refs at the unirec you don't even get that.

Negative experience: Make sure you do not set up a direct debit with them. If you have, make sure you stop the direct debit post contract expires. They dont take that responsibility and keep taking money out from your bank account. I have lost about $600 which they wont return.

Positive experience: Alright gym. Front desk staff are friendly but not always well trained.
