Fantastic experience: I brought one of my clients/whanau I'm working alongside with to the Dee St Advance Fitness Gym, she has anxiety but she felt comfortable enough to speak for herself. We had a female person asked if we were joining and she said its a good gym if you do. She got good vibes once she stepped in the doors and when we walked out. Andrew was very helpful and very respectful towards her needs. I feel we will be signing her up soon.

Negative experience: Was using this place for one and half years without any issue, and suddenly some of so called good smelling roses have complained that I am smelly to them. It is the same way I used to come to the gym since the day I joined. I am using only the treadmill since last 7 months which is the most corner treadmill close to Dee Street. It is highly unlikely that members working out very close to me since next few treadmills are not occupied and beside me is the escalator climbing machine. It is obvious that everybody sweats when working out. Before this place I used few different gyms for last 7 years depending on where I lived in the country and none of such complains came. This seems to me like an organised and well planned way of chasing the members away, whom they do not want to be members of the gym. Withdrew the membership immediately and joined to another one asking to keep good smelling roses as their members.

Was at city fitness for 6months could rarely find a machine that wasnt in use, so glad to have made the change over to advanced. 10 out of 10 all round at advanced dee street.

Great equipment, the gym floor is well spaced out and the equipment is clean and well maintained. I also enjoy the cool down area and cardio equipment. Andrew and the team look out for members and assist with technique if required. I'd recommend this gym to anyone young and old. Cheers Paula.

The staff are amongst the nicest and most knowledgeable people you will ever meet, especially Peter. That guy is a true Kiwi icon. Seriously, if you're not going to this gym, you're missing out on life.

Fantastic experience: Pete is great in acknowledging and welcoming any new and familiar faces on way into gym. Very helpful, place is clean and not too hot the times I've been. No tap for water bottles but they have filtered water cooler stand. Also a unisex toilet or 2. Parking is ok

Fantastic experience: This is my gym of choice. Great value memberships, 24hr access any time. Friendly helpful staff. Great equipment, I am a huge fan on the Hammer Squat rack and deadlift platform.

Fantastic experience: This is great gym, having been a member from the start it has been great to see how far the Dee street gym has come. It is always evolving and improving which is great to keep it FRESH and interesting. Jamie runs a great gym with the monthly challenges really taking off this year. The staff are friendly and helpful. Jamie and his team have been great in working with the IHD Coaching Athletes and are assisting them achieve their sporting goals. Thanks guys and I cannot wait to see what improvements in the gym are coming next.
