Negative experience: To cancel memberships, they make you provide proof. I.e when I moved out of town they told me I had to provide proof that my address was now >30km outside of town. When I re-signed I had an accident and couldn’t walk for 6 weeks. They told me I had to send my medical certificate to be eligible for 48hr cancellation, then declined to cancel it and told me I have to continue to pay for 6 weeks… even though I’d just had surgery and was in a moon boot. Literal joke.

Fantastic experience: The staff at this gym are really good. They are friendly, helpful, and always make me feel welcome. Great service!

Fantastic experience: what a gem this place is. with the nautilus equipment deemed to be the best gym equpment ever made. you can go further then other city fitnesses, have been to 5 other city fitnesses and this one takes the cake for training

Positive experience: Came for a try with a member friend. The carpark was crowded, so I was nervous about going in, but there was plenty of space. Lots of different types machines to try and see a weights class going on.

Fantastic experience: I've had Navi as my personal trainer for the past year and I couldn't be happier with the results he has helped me obtain.I started my journey between 95 & 100kg and I am now down to 79kg.Navi has great experience in fitness & health and his suggestions have made a significant difference on my fat loss & strength training journey.Navi makes sure you understand every movement he teaches and is really excellent at explaining the technique.I have a personalised programme I can follow when I'm training on my own.Navi's encouraging support and positive attitude has made the gym a fun place for me to work on myself.I highly recommend Navi as a personal trainer

Positive experience: I have a black (premium) membership, so I'll give a comparison between this and the Kelvin Grove franchise. Pitt St: Advantages: - Better for shy people or introverts. Many corners and some hidden spots. - Located in the city center. - Shower area (male) has a luxury feeling. - Tends to be less hectic close to late night Disadvantages: - Not that spacious. - Old equipment - Don't feel clean except the toilet and shower - Feels like less extra equipment Kelvin Grove: Advantages: - Spacious. Good for Claustrophobes. Basically, an open area with no dividing walls or corners. - Generally cleaner around the gym area. - More Cardio and dip & pull up machines/bars. - Newer equipment. Disadvantages: - Shower not as clean and luxurious as Pitt st. - More intimidating for Introverts since it's an open and some stations/machines are facing each other, especially if you're doing free weight. But , more privacy when you're doing machines (except lat pull down and other cable machines). - Super crowded until 12 am.

Negative experience: Gets way to busy to train during peak hours. It's at the point now where I'm going to switch gyms because of it. So if like me you can only go during peak hours then don't go to city Fitness. Both palmy locations are equally bad.

Positive experience: Tidy gym, plenty of equipment and mostly a frigym community

Negative experience: Pretty trash. Just full of teenagers that sit on the machines not doing anything and just taking photos of them selfs. People walking around with no shirts on. No gym etiquette at all.

Fantastic experience: Easy parking, great facilities, helpful staff and good pricing

Fantastic experience: Affordable, friendly staff and a good variety of equipment. However it gets very busy during peak hours

Positive experience: A victim of their success, as others have mentioned this is a great gym with lots of equipment and is clean and well maintained, BUT only join if you are comfortable wading through a crowd of people and waiting for the machine you want. It is very busy all day from 5am to 9pm. Especially busy from 5pm to 8pm, too crowded for me.

Negative experience: Extremely busy, not able to get to machines due to young kids mucking around. Obnoxious teenagers making nasty comments about us older clients.

Fantastic experience: I started city fitness 3 months ago and it’s been nothing but a positive experience, all of the staff are incredibly friendly. I also hired a personal trainer to get familiar with the equipment, his name was Navi and he was nothing but amazing. He was always so positive and helped me become a lot more confident at the gym. I now can go into the gym by myself and have a plan for my workouts. I would highly recommend him.

Negative experience: SCAM - pay a ridiculous amount of money for a service that forces you to pay 1 whole month after deciding to cancel. no punching bags either

Fantastic experience: I enjoy the gym. even though I am in my 60s the gym is welcoming.

Negative experience: Some trainer named evelyn or evelitt or something thought instead of talking to my partner and helping or guiding her how to use the machine was to walk past and insult her. I hope you lose your job if this is how you treat your patrons. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and I need to hear back that she has been severely reprimanded or removed or else my partner and I WILL NOT be coming back to this establishment, and we warn family and friends about this incident. On the flip side the young man with glasses on shift as well was very receptive and helpful. Disgusting racist behaviour that speaks magnitudes about Evelyn's character.

Negative experience: Heater blasting so cooking during work out is not good. Also please get the young guys to stop taking photos in the changing rooms, it's disgusting and I think probably illegal. No one wants to be in the background of their Instagram selfies while I'm in my undies getting dressed.

Positive experience: Helpful staff, friendly atmosphere. The gym is well equipped and classes cater for everything my wife and I need and enjoy.

Positive experience: Bit dated. Didn't have all the machines I'm used to at my home town gym. Bathroom facility was excellent!!

Negative experience: Pathetic service received by a staff named Gina As i was entering on the 19.1.23 at 8:55pm I then asked to use the massage chair even before i got to enter she then said u wont be able to as the black card is not yours in which i said this belongs to modfigbthe msaage xhaknr as it is ear 9pm I felt like she was rushing and just wanted to leave Hope to see better services❄

Positive experience: Thoroughly disappointed. The gym is extremely easy to sign up to online but is an Everest-type feat to cancel. The gym itself is outdated. Fortunately it isn't the gym monopoly it once was; would look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I have been part if City fitness ever since it first opened, I have seen it's growth which has been great. The group classes are well thought with a really great team teaching, their commitment to their classes, cheerfulness and encouragement is really inspiring. I have experienced other clubs over the years but always come back and are enjoying the HITT classes immensely when I'm able to attend.
