Fantastic experience: Absolutely love going to gym the equipment could do with an upgrade but are still usable an the staff are absolutely wonderful so I'm giving it five stars for the wonderful staff an prices

Negative experience: Don't even bother trying to look for parking in the weekend after 12. The whole lot gets used by those weekend basketball groups. And being a member there for more than 8 years, after scanning in the door this guy rudely tells you what door to use when they are in and out all the time.

Positive experience: I've been coming to this gym for years, and love it. I basically go on, get my workout out of the way and walk out having accomplished what I needed to. My only downfall about the place is it could do with a revamp, looks a little old and run down. Other than that I'm happy overall. Looking forward to pushing myself to my limits next year. Bring on 2024!

Fantastic experience: The staff and members at PLC are what makes this place so special. Everyone is really friendly and helpful and ready for a chat. It is a small gym but offers lots of different classes if you are so inclined.

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to CLM gym in Papakura. I think it use to be a YMCA. I have been going there for a month now. Totally love it . I get out of my brain and into my body so to speak. So far not only have I lost 2 kgs but also cms around biceps, waist and hips. For less than 1/2 box G&Ts a week, I get 24/7 access, program, regular assessments by trainer, and group classes if I want. Outstanding. And to top it off, I get a lovely view of the Papakura Graveyard which is a gentle reminder, if I don't use it, I loose it lol. A big thumbs up to the gym.

Negative experience: Old and tired facilities. The adult pool was not warm. Shower facilities are minimal and no door..

Positive experience: Fantastic family friendly space with awesome staff. However the complex is very worn down, it needs some serious TLC to make it inviting and the prices need to be lowered to.

Fantastic experience: If you want to get fit with the proper equipment on a budget this is the place for you. Heaps of parking and the work out classes are fun and supportive.

Negative experience: Disappointing . . Signed up to a one month swim/gym membership yet couldn't use the sauna/steam room/spa due to maintenance at massey park. Phoned up to cancel my membership as I moved cities and inquired about compensation for paying yet not being able to fully use the facilities. Was told there was nothing they could do, but if I had told them during the maintenance period, they could have put the "swim" part of my membership on hold. With that kind of theory, surely everyone on a swim/gym membership should have their "swim" membership automatically put on hold during maintenance. As I was a member at this gym for years, prior to coming back for a month, I expected a little better.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed of the papakra leisure centre of how my grandson was looking forward today to play a bit of basketball in saying this I dropped him off as it stated that the court would be available at this time srry to say they decided to change the time to a later time so I said to my grandson ok we will go home and wait for this time stated and I will dropp you off .Well this happened 2 more times so this time I decided to ring them to confirm when will the court be available she said 8pm so I said thank you.When it was 55pm my grandson was so happy so I decided to drop him off guess what there were people om the court dancing it was like what was going on my grandson ended up crying.Got home rang and ask the question why there answer you can come up now the oriole have all gone .zI have decide that the staff are unprofessional I will never let any of my family join there and I will make sure this will ho viral on Factbook

Positive experience: Previously was a 1 star review but they've professionally fixed the issues I've had with one of their PT's that thought it was funny to cancel me 3 times. Levi if you see this review find a different career because you lack of professionalism, respect and you're negatively affecting our community.

Fantastic experience: The staff are all nice. Basic gym equipment with the weights and cardio seperated to each side. Fun group exercises. I participate in Zumba class that's always fun. Gym is hardly ever fully packed which is great. Finally made it 24/7 yet still cheap as since they made it a $20 one-off payment.

Fantastic experience: Attend the centre for basketball. Good court and hoops. There is a radio for playing music. Its 24hr which is good but it would be better if it was closer north so I don't have to drive as far. Its next to a cemetery. The police were talking to someone, not sure why but they left shortly after. No rating for tge cemetery

Negative experience: Some trainers are not interacting with their members. I walked in and one of the female trainers (wearing glasses) was on her phone and she seemed to be lazy and not very helpful. Not too sure if all the trainers were suppose to check on their members (as per say) and not their phones. What I have notice is that trainers only walk up to the gym and look around for 10seconds then head back to the reception desk. If you work at a fitness Industry, you should be spending more time asking members if they need help, regardless if they know the workout or not. And please trainers, do your job or you will have a bad review like this (as some of your members picked up).

Positive experience: A well used community resource. Getting old and tired now. Nice outside area available for gym users.

Negative experience: Staff here are fabulous and there's a good spirit amongst those who play basketball. However, I went for the gym recently and the facilities are tiny and very old for such a populous area. It's 24hrs now which is an improvement, but there's some major investment needed here.

Positive experience: Great gym ambiance it's a working person's club. Friendly staff. Some of the equipment and the toilets and showers need upgrading. The addition of a boxing space with punching and speed bags would be great for personal training and Boxfit classes.

Positive experience: Awesome facility. Only there for cardio and the back room is a little small but never crowded, been a max of 4 people in there any time I have been. Lots of kids stuff downstairs in the hall. Earbuds fix that for me though.

Negative experience: I'm sure the staff are friendly, but I don't like the way they can lure u in with a great deal or gym membership plan. Recently having come out of a term I'm shocked. The rec center is partner/contracted with DEBIT SUCCESS!!! The contracts are worst then if u were to take a loan. Debit success Unprofessional , mean , rude, if u were to fall into some sort of hardship these guys don't care if you broke ur leg and couldn't actually use the gym these guys don't care so keep paying your membership if you were to move away well you'll have to find a facility that uses debit succes. I'm disappointed that Papakura rec uses this company to receive and manage there payments, the gym seems like a nice quite place and the staff friendly , it just sucks that debit success is the reason for my bad review.

Now i see its because its such a mature gym for more maturer ages. Been to snapfitness, new york, and more. And this onw has to be the one that helps you feel more comfortable .
