Fitness HQ for Women

Fantastic experience: Fitness HQ has been life changing for me. Supportive staff and great facilities have allowed me to become stronger, fitter and more confident after many years of struggling with my health. Highly recommend this gym for women of all ages looking for a safe space to change and grow in whatever way you need to move forward. This environment is welcoming, warm and friendly. Classes are great too….thanks to the team for providing such an inclusive, supportive and safe space to be me!

Fantastic experience: Joining FQ 3 years ago from an auction prize, I was attracted by the no fuss, no posers but highly professional gym. 3 years on its become my health home with great classes, clean and up to date facilities and great classes. And close to home and work. Easy to stay fit when all these stars align. Thanks Sarah and team.

Fantastic experience: A Lifestyle Gym with Spirit and Heart. In-house infrared Sauna ( free to use with membership) and something I am obsessed with. Free weights, machines, low impact tools like trx, classes and PT available. In-house massage (separate entity located in the gym and is charged separately). This was fantastic because the massage therapist is fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised to find her working with my Personal trainer to find exercises that were strentghing for my weak knees - which are getting stronger by the day! The atmosphere is awesome. I have had a woman notice I was waiting on a machine and just offer it to me while she did something else! That has never happened to me at other gyms! Women here are so friendly, inspirational supportive and genuine. Facilities are always clean and there's no weird smell ( the one I always notice at other gyms...like dirty sock smell ) . The staff are invested in your health and will work with you and are always open to my suggestions. They always have different deals going on so come on a trial and see if this is Your gym. Definitely worth at the very least a visit

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for a while, lovely staff, a great facility with great equipment. It's never too busy at the time I go, which is a plus for me. The classes always seem to be popping off! Gym and showers are always clean.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym around 10 months back and have been pleasantly surprised by the flexibility of group classes offered. As someone who isn't a huge fan of exercising, I found the variety of classes to be engaging and motivating. The trainer here has been incredibly supportive and their encouragement has helped me stay committed to my fitness goals. I've noticed a significant improvement in my blood sugar levels since starting my workouts here. The positive atmosphere and personalized attention from the staff have made my gym experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a welcoming environment and effective fitness support

Fantastic experience: Joining Fitness HQ is the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Sarah (the owner) is incredible and having no men around makes trying out the weights and machines fun, rather than intimidating. There’s a great sense of community here too which I haven’t experienced at other gyms. I’d give Fitness HQ 10 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: What was impressive about my experience was the friendly people. and the place is clean There are necessary amenities. You can come out and iron, shower, put on makeup and go to work.

It is tailored to women in every detail..I will be rejoining in a couple of weeks to shed my lockdown weight..

Fantastic experience: Been to several different gyms in Auckland, but Fitness HQ has by far the friendliest staff. I have been a member for 5+ years now and my trainers customise my personal training sessions based on my fitness level and injuries. Gym is always clean and 24hr access allows me to come and go whenever I want. Shout out to Sarah and Melinda my trainers that put up with me!!

Fantastic experience: Genuinely would not go to any other gym - always feel so safe, supported, and welcomed here. The classes are wonderful and inclusive, and the personal training sessions are worth every dollar. Love having this safe space for women in the shore!

Fantastic experience: Awesome ladies only gym. I've been a member since it opened. Usually it's not busy but friendly faces to chat to if you want to. Great classes, PT sessions available, circuit, floor and your general exercise machines. Sarah is always striving to make the gym an even better place.

They have the most friendly and most positive gym vibe you can imagine - I always feel so relaxed and so well looked after there! They have such a great range of classes which are really fun. Fantastic experience: Best gym ever. I always feel so comfortable and accepted at Fitness HQ. Their facilities are always in great condition and kept clean. I love the hair dryers and straighteners they have in the bathroom too! The staff are all very friendly. Highly recommend

Knowledgeable staff, instructors and lovely ladies make everyone feel welcomed in this beautiful gym. It's a great place to focus on myself physically as well as replenished mentally. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Fitness HQ for a few years now & really enjoy it! There is a great range of different classes, as well as a great weight circuit which gives a good all-over workout that I can do after hours. Sarah & the team are really friendly & give options to cater for different fitness levels in the same class. The equipment & facilities are clean & fresh. It’s also an awesome way to get away from the husband & kids, & get in some “me time” :0)

Fantastic experience: Lovely gym just for us ladies. Anything you need just ask and the ladies will get or assist and assess your form. Great classes and they care about what classes work for us. Change rooms and showers extremely clean and tidy with hairdryers and straightners. Very competitive pricing Highly recommend ladies

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. I joined for the location but have loved the women's only aspect of it. The trainers are really knowledgeable and can modify for any issues. I've enjoyed my time here immensely and would highly recommend it. I've seen tremendous changes since I joined up!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for almost 3 years now. By far the best gym I've been to. Love their classes and instructors. Really friendly and accommodating to muslims. Whether it's for Ramadan, prayer or making sure that they notify us if we need to put our hijab back on. And most importantly probably one of the cleanest gyms I've been to!

Fantastic experience: Love the gym and the group sessions they have on offer. Currently the healthiest I've been in years thanks to going to this gym. Its inviting and has awesome and friendly gym instructors who will try to help you stay fit. Its clean and smells great too. There is a range of well maintained equipment on offer for you to use and if you need assistance, someone is always free to help you. During lockdown, they had online sessions 6 days a week for members to continue to keep fit which was really motivating during those unsure times. Bonus, its a women only gym. All, in all, best gym I've been to in years.

Negative experience: I was keen to join this gym but found their packages were higher than the others and also had an exit fee while there are some options with no exit fee. Personal trainer fees were comparable too. The day I booked appointment for the overview, I was introduced to by a fresher gym trainer and I didn't feel confident on meeting her. I'm not sure about their services as I didn't end up joining HQ gym.

Fantastic experience: I had been to so many gym before, but this is the only one keep me stay.

Positive experience: The gym is designed with beginners or nervous gym-users in mind: heaps of classes, an easy to understand circuit, and most importantly a really friendly team. They are easy to approach, quick to say hi, don't hold back if they see you struggling or doing something incorrectly. These are key for anyone starting out or returning. They're not quite the 5 star as there isn't all the equipment to inspire you to try new things, and sometimes the floor space isn't as available as you'd like. These aren't major hangups, and didn't stop me from completing my routine.

Fantastic experience: I am SO glad I found fitness HQ for women! I looked at so many gyms but I felt like a lot didn't meet what I needed as a women. At fitnesss HQ Albany I feel at home not only to achieve my fitness goals but being in a supportive, fun, inspiring hub is awesome.

Fantastic experience: If you want a well equipped gym with a variety of group fitness classes AND supportive, friendly instructors.....come to Fitness hq! As a mum to a preschooler, the kids club enables me to workout regularly without added cost. My daughter loves it and I get to do something that makes me feel great!

It has a non-judgemental atmosphere, people are really friendly, the trainers are motivating and the classes are fun and varied. It feels like a real community, and it's a great place to get fit! Fantastic experience: I have been to so many gyms over the years and Fit HQ is by far the best. Everyone is so warm and friendly and the classes are soooo much fun! I definitely recommend the Kangoo and Power Hoop classes if you like to have a good laugh while working out. The instructors are fantastic and everyone who works there is so welcoming you'll feel completely at home at Fit HQ from your very first day!
