Fantastic experience: Was at their prayer area, which was a great facility from Massey University, Air Conditioned, carpeted and clean ablution area, nice and loud sound. I love it.

Negative experience: We were falsely advertised the price of the court and had to pay an additional fee after our game. This is unacceptable as some of us were not able to pay the amount and jokes were made about the workers wages. Please if the worker could get the amount right before we play that would be more appreciative as that is what is acceptable.

Positive experience: Attend for basketball practices. Close to Albany Shopping Complex and main arterial routes. Several parking areas but we visit outside University hours on weekends, so parking is never an issue. Multi access areas via main doors and cafe. No acknowledgment from reception staff. Maze trek to courts around the weight/gym area.. need to lighten up the dark blue wall as it feels like a cattle run LOL. Water station on court for both bottle and single is handy, but more convenient if separate. Mezzanine level for spectators. Otherwise courts are fit for purpose, with thick mat wall between for privacy and ball containment. Will visit again.

Fantastic experience: A really good gym for the price. Has many machines for every muscle and plenty of cardio options. Just keep in mind that it does get a little hot inside but that has never made me leave early.

Positive experience: Badminton court is always used, toilets and changing rooms are perfectly clean. Nice space into shower spots to hang your towel. Hair dryer is available.

Positive experience: The facility at the recreation centre is great the only reason for the four star is the lack of spectator space to watch teams on the side lines. Otherwise it is a good use of space to for players only.

Positive experience: The gym is ok and serves its purpose for me, however the customer interaction is in serious need of improvement. I once wanted to address the bluntness of one of the staff when interacting with her to book for an assessment where I was advised that the particular staff member was just a "Straight talker" really??

Positive experience: The Massey gym has every 'toy' you could want! Our seniors group had a great exercise time with some guidance from Chanille.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym a couple of weeks ago taking advantage of their student discount promotion. They offered a one week trial should you wish to try out their equipment. They have pretty much everything, and the gym itself is pretty spacious. It does not feel like its too cramped in there. The equipment itself is in good, clean condition and they have so much variety. The staff there are pretty friendly and are always helpful. One of the trainers came to help me out after I was doing an exercise on a machine completely incorrect. You don’t see that happen very often at any gym, I really appreciated the help and advise. They even have some locker rooms with showers for both male and female. Very good gym with great competitive prices.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, good courts and facilities, shower facilities good. Parking can be a bit difficult at times though.

Positive experience: Facilities are decent can't really complain about it. The only thing is distance from the city of you're coming from there.

Negative experience: Facilities are mediocre, some staff is friendly some are always smart asses. The thing that takes two full stars from this place is the fact that the hours they say they operate are not true, for example if they close at 9PM they will start kicking you out by 8-8:15 because by 8:30 (i assure you will be kicked out, they even shut the lights and lock the door regardless if you are still in there) they want to clean up and start leaving to close the entire place at 9. That is not how businesses work. If you close at 9PM then thats when your customers can leave and then you do what you need to do to close the gym.

Positive experience: This recreation centre is very well equipped and located very conveniently for students. Great classes available with some awesome and motivational instructors. The changing room facilities are okay but I would highly recommend bringing jandals as the showers flood and you don't want your feet to be swimming in everyone else's shower juices!
