Fantastic experience: Love the ease of coming to the gym anytime during either staffed or non-staffed hours. A decent crowd of people, no weirdos looking to flirt, unlike at some other gyms. Just people dedicated to doing their workouts respectfully and in peace. Feels safe and has tons of unique + effective equipment. Facilities are nice and the team are friendly. Not over-crowded and there’s always some variation of an exercise you’re wanting to do available. My personal joy for going to the gym has been restored since joining and I encourage others within the area to give this location a go as it makes all the difference having a safe and convenient space available. PS. Love the pendulum squat machine, it’ll humble you real quick!

Fantastic experience: Ever since jumping on board with snap cbd I’ve had a great experience with staff and equipment. The trainers and locals are great and super friendly always happy to spot you or help out! Big shout out to Toni and Callum for putting the work in to build a great community within the heart of the capital.

Negative experience: TLDR There are no joint memberships and the gym is too small to be useful to anyone who's serious about fitness. Don't get roped into a contract if someone offers to pay for your membership, if they stop paying, suddenly you'll owe money for a service you weren't even using. You shouldn't be allowed to keep debiting someone especially if they aren't using the service. In addition, while it looks new and futuristic a lot of the equipment is purchased from manufacturers who tend to over-engineer their equipment reducing the impact exercise has to benefit your daily routine. Don't support these bad business practices. Go to CityFitness. Edit: Since google does not moderate or have a minimum standard for professionalism of companies that use their platform I'll add a note here. Misrepresentation of a contract is illegal under New Zealand law; the proof of misrepresentation lies in the fact that I did not provide my own payment method and I believed I was signing a waiver with information for system access, which is standard procedure for many gyms that know what they're doing. Furthermore, constant monitoring of your social media reviews is indicative of artificial inflation of reviews meaning the business is not only untrustworthy but also manipulative as I was threatened with being reported to a debt collection agency when I tried to refute the claim that I owed any money. After I reluctantly paid not wanting to jeopardize my VISA status, I then asked for a photo-copy of the contract over email and I was ignored. Either take your bad review, or issue a refund and change your policy, it's that simple.

Fantastic experience: Probably one of my favourite gyms that I’ve trained at so far. The owners are great, they’re bodybuilders so there’s a variety of machines especially for legs and they’re all still in new condition and feel smooth & amazing, even if there are any issues with them they are usually fixed within a day or 2. Plenty of benches and power racks around and I hardly ever have to wait long for them during peak times. The showers and toilets are always clean and any issues are always fixed pretty quick

My partner and I live out in Upper Hutt and have tried a few others but we still come to this one for all of our sessions because it’s the best gym around by far! It has such a good environment, great equipment, it’s always clean and the owners are super friendly and helpful! This gym also has awesome trainers who make it even better (shoutout to Petr & Kendra). Highly recommend Snap Wellington CBD to anyone looking for a new gym!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming for most of 2023 and I love the facilities, the atmosphere and how easy it all is! Callum is a great gym manager (owner) and very flexible and adaptable to my personal circumstances.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I were visiting family in Wellington for 8 days over Christmas and looking for a gym to keep up our routine. The owner was really helpful in talking us through the options, and set us up with a 1-week membership that meant we could visit all week, including when it was unstaffed on the holidays. The gym is great! The space is big and clean, with a good variety of weights, machines, dumbbells and bars, different cardio machines, and a yoga/warm-up space. It also has powerful air con which is really important in summer! The owner and personal trainers were helpful when we had questions about the machines, and one showed me a new exercise while we were chatting. It wasn't too crowded (might be different outside the summer holidays) and other members had good gym etiquette, were friendly, and there were even a few people in on Christmas Day. If we lived here we'd be regular members, we'll definitely be back in touch the next time we're in Wellington.

Great sized gym with super nice equipment, very reasonable pricing, great environment and great people and all around just good vibes. Definitely the best gym in wellington.

Fantastic experience: Moved to Welly a few weeks ago and trialed a bunch of gyms in the area - Les Mills, City Fit, that one on Oriental. Then, on a whim, I tried out Snap CBD... This gym is EXCELLENT and deserves more business. Why? There are numerous reasons. The obvious reasons include 24/7 access and good value for money. But here I list other reasons that might not be as obvious: 1. Staff are chill as: Toni, Callum, and the various trainers are great. It's a nice feeling to walk into a gym where the staff are welcoming, non-judgmental, and warm. 2. Equipment: For its size, this gym has a surprising variety of equipment which are all well maintained. Among other things, this includes a hip-thrust machine, one of those sprinting machines, and belt squat (!), and a powerlifting bar. I've seen much larger gyms with less variety. 3. Mirrors: Most people like to *see* the results of their training. Fortunately, Snap CBD has a ton of mirrors, some times at unusual locations. This means you will be able to see yourself from more angles than if you were inside a Lululemon dressing room. 4. GOAT lighting: The other day I got a pump and saw myself in the mirror here at Snap CBD. It was at an unusual angle (see point 3) so I was like "ay is this dude natty?" before realising that dude was ME. That's how you know the lighting is good (I am a lifetime natty I promise). 5. Other non-staff in gym are chill: I've been training here for a few weeks and everyone is courteous, friendly, and unobtrusive. In sum: Join this gym

Fantastic experience: I had a one-month-contract and I really enjoyed my time there. It wasn't very cheap (190 Dollars for 28 days) but since I was there every day, it was worth it. People and staff are kind, the machines completely new and the atmosphere positive <3

Fantastic experience: Nice brand new gym with shiny new equipment, very spacious and doesn’t feel crammed like some snap fitness gyms. Wide range of machines from plate loaded, machines, resistance, cardio and even Olympic bumper plates. The manager Callum was also very helpful by showing us around and making us feel welcome. We’ve travelled around the South and North island of New Zealand while stopping in multiple snap fitness gyms up and down the country. And this one in Wellington CBD is by far our favourite. 5* ✅

Fantastic experience: Great gym. I moved to Wellington recently and was doing trials at many gyms (Lesmills, cityfitness, anytime fitness etc), but I had the best experience in this Snap fitness, as Chinese say “though sparrows are small, they have all the organs a bird needs” Working out as a powerlifter here, everything is at the right measurement. Right height for bench, tight and firm equipments, nice and dense plates, and clean and high friction bars. Bright lighting, good air circulation, refreshing air. And they have one powerlifting bar, I’m happy. The bathroom is always clean and new. Gym owner are friendly and are good people, def one of the reasons why I joined. It is a hidden gem, don’t wanna compliment it like this because then it’ll get packed! But I’ll sacrifice my own benefit, because it deserves to be seen.

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness in Wellington CBD is an excellent gym! I was impressed with their new and top-notch equipment, which made my workouts enjoyable and effective. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to assist. The gym space is clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere to exercise in. One of my favorite aspects is their fantastic selection of leg workout equipment, which helped me achieve great results.

Fantastic experience: Don’t usually write reviews but felt that if I was ever going to these guys warrant it. Absolutely fantastic gym with an awesome vibe. I’m a younger guy and find when starting at gyms, staff can be pretty dismissive of me as a result of their presumptions. This place wasn’t like that. Whole place had an awesome vibe and the staff were onto it and obviously emotionally invested in the service they were providing. The equipment was some of the nicest kit I’ve ever seen and absolutely loved working out there. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone who was interested in a quality gym run by quality people.

Fantastic experience: Hands down best gym in all of Wellington. The staff actually care about the condition of the gym and the people going. I walked in for a tour and there was no pushing to sell me anything or any dramas, I actually asked to be signed up. The care they give to their clients is bomb. I love that the sign up cost includes PT sessions; you don’t feel like your paying an empty fee like you do at other gyms. The equipment is top notch and best of the best. The machines are top of the line and have been picked by the owners because they work out there as well! As a bigger woman it can be super intimidating going to a new gym but this place doesn’t breed that kinda culture, it’s a high quality gym without the high quality snobbery. Loving my membership and so happy I made the switch!

Fantastic experience: The team here have made such an excellent gym right in the heart of the CBD. They are so friendly and approachable and really help make the gym feel like a community. They have the coolest machines, all very modern, cardio machines with wireless charging pads and great screens for help focusing in on the grind. Incredibly helpful staff and they really want the best for the gym and their clients. I love working out here, whether it’s during staffed or unstaffed hours - I feel safe, I know the equipment I’m using is of high quality and cleanliness, and I know I’m part of a great community and it’s exciting to watch it grow. With its brand new design, modern features and welcoming vibe, this gym is well equipped for a wide range of workouts. The showers and changing rooms are always clean.
