Negative experience: Really nice staff here, but a very limited amount of women’s shoe sizes and the recommendations I was given were terrible. I went to Athlete’s foot directly after and purchased a $289 dollar pair of Saucony runner shoes. They had about triple the amount of women’s shoe options (for a store of the same size) and they were tailored to my specific needs. I think Shoe Science needs to expand it’s range for women; it’s 2024 not 1926. Really disappointing!

Fantastic experience: A really good first time experience at Shoe Science Mt Eden. I expressed early on that I wasn’t planning on buying shoes today and just wanted to try a few on. Joseph was understanding and still offered to properly fit me with shoes that suited my needs. Even when busy serving other customers, I was still checked up on. There was no pressure to buy anything. The other staff, Lakeisha was nice and helpful too. Even though, I said I wasn’t going to buy anything, I ended up walking out with a new pair of running shoes and a better understanding of what I was looking for. Support your local.

Negative experience: Terrible service. Just walked into the shop on mount Eden Road today....didn't even get acknowledged, not even a glance in my direction. Yes there was only one staff member on, but only one other customer. Waited for about 10mins and then just left. Definitely won't be back.

Fantastic experience: Great service and a wide range of sports footwear. I purchased a pair of Hoka running shoes (orthopaedic) that had a squeaky inner sole. I returned them, and the lady repaired them promptly by replacing the inner sole. Very friendly and accommodating.

Negative experience: I purchased some shoes from this store, and when I got home realized I was given an incorrect size. After taking them back the next day I was disappointed to be told they did not have my size, and I also could not get a refund even after I was given the wrong shoe. I was told my only option was to drive to another store for an exchange. I am really unhappy with this service.

Negative experience: Genuinely surprised with the reviews. Found the communication to be less than satisfactory. I feel they only want to make the sale, which is why they put up a front of being friendly, I saw that with Neil. But once you're of no benefit, things change. Beware anyone wanting to buy here or work here. You'll be ghosted with no hesitation. Cannot recommend this place unless you like being around fake people.

Also the furniture and appliances they sell was so good and new. The price was going together with the quality of what they sell. Well done Harvey Norman.

Fantastic experience: I recently bought a pair of Brooks running shoes from the Mt Eden Branch. Finally moving on from a very worn out pair of Nikes that had seen me through over 2000km. I am delighted with the new shoes. The expertise and knowledge shown in the shop were second to none .The shoes fit perfectly, I've already run a half marathon in them. Keep up the good work!
