Fantastic experience: I came in just to get some cardio done, but was genuinely impressed by how complete this gym is. The range of equipment is fantastic, everything is well laid out, high quality, and clearly caters to serious training as well as general fitness.

Fantastic experience: Went to Islington gym and was blown away by the amount of gear and weight machines that it had so much to do for my workout ,sad I couldn't try everything but happy that I got in a good session,atmosphere and theme is awesome, very well set out and hygiene facilities were great too, wish we had a gym like this in my town ,would be cool to go to this gym everytime I travel to christchurch, cheers team.

Fantastic experience: Hi I joined today and found the girl on the counter Abigail to be very knowledgeable very very helpful and because she's a bodybuilder herself she understands thoroughly everything you ask and she is at work there every day till 7 pm which is great if you're working on something even a body project of a tecnical goal and need information , it's not crowded it's clean it's tidy it's pretty great and I'm hard to please so that's saying something of course they will hold your hand every step of the way literally if needed to fix or repairing of bad injurys she is good enough in my opinion to equal physiotherapies at least if not more as I have been too many of them to fix problems that I have and ended up fixing it with Steve in town at the hyperbolic gym and Abigail at Templeton hyperbolic and it's cheaper than paying for physio but more fun

Fantastic experience: Dragon ball z themed gym, what isn’t there to like?
Negative experience: Signed up for what we thought was a free trial, then faced unexpected debt collection. Minimal communication. Unclear policies. Be careful before joining. Would have loved to gym here as facilities look brilliant and a great community/ still somthing to look out for.

He entered his information incorrectly we tried contacting him and after 5 weeks with no payments he was sent to collections
He was emailed his contract which he told us he got and is upset its legally binding and has to pay.
This is simply him being upset we wouldnt let him weasel out of the costs and a way to damage our business out of spite for not getting his way
Fantastic experience: Great place, great trainers! ... how's the progress on the heater? It's is wickedly cold on a frosty morning. Even mid work out.... And Sam looks so sad walking around with his hot water bottle! I'm sure most members would agree that some heat would be hugely beneficial for us and future business/members.

Negative experience: Heard so many great things about this gym I just had to give it a try! But I am disappointed. As soon as I walked through the door I could feel how cold it was. Really not an environment I would be happy to train in - even after a hard legs session.
Hi Samantha We are aware of the issue and have been pricing up heating and getting quotes over the past month. We want to make sure we do this right so we don’t Install something that won’t work. Because of the large space it is proving rather difficult to find the best fit.
Negative experience: Definitely not state of the art equipment if you have actually set foot in another gym... nice photo of the off balance wobbly benches an old black an Grey gear ... Be very careful signing a contract on there little iPad . The trainer left the job shortly after sign up . With a back injury I was unsure if I was able to train . Ended up needing to cancel my contract after 2 visits 1 hour total . Asked to cancel but was told by reception she would ask nick to put my membership on hold. A week had passed and finaly had a message to provide a med cert so they could put on hold and another week charged to my card ( not cancel) an I now have to pay 70% of the hole year .. very unsettling as they do not care about your recover. This is business he says Instantly baycorped before givin an option to pay . Obviously I signed the contract .but they are very inconsiderate and rude
Hi Rhys We have many contracts to pick from some being short and others long. The prices differ depending on your term. We also offer non contracted memberships which is cancel anytime.You picked the longest cheapest contract and were happy to take the 4 weeks free promotion that was included in a 12 month membership.We tried to work with you and said we were happy to put you on a hold during your injury time. But you out right refused to supply us with a med cert. You outright refused to pay your membership over the phone and threatened us with small claims. So we didn’t bother wasting anymore of our time with someone that wasn’t willing to help themselves in any way.

Compared to my previous gym it’s a nice change to have real high quality, industry standard equipment. This gym has everything you need, a great atmosphere, and is never busy when I go. The staff are super friendly and helpful and actively work to fix any issues that pop up. Also, being able to set the music to anything you like is a great perk! I would highly recommend Hyperbolic to anyone looking for a great bodybuilding gym in Christchurch!

Fantastic experience: I joined in July 2023. It had been about 8 years since I was a member of a gym, and was a bit nervous however the staff and the gym community at Hyperbolic have made it really easy. Really lovely people, happy to help and show you what to do if needed. I’m also really glad to have a gym so close to home, very convenient.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely enjoy working out at this gym the most people I’ve seen there at one time has been 5 or so people, the team is lovely and super friendly and the fact you can play whatever music you like is a bonus the vibe and environment is definitely there and meany great spots to film content for your social media and also Sam one of there personal trainers dose an amazing job!
Positive experience: Usually not to busy, but it is small and doesn't have lots of extra equipment, so if someone is using the dual cables then you are out of luck. Users can change the music, but it is usually best to bring your own. Still it is good and it is a gym with a variety of equipment.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Christchurch! The staff is amazing and helpful, the PTs are great and the just the whole community is like a family! Music is member’s choice, so you can be sure to listen to some sick beats as well. The Dragon Ball theme just brings it up another level! Love the gym fam, best gym, couldn’t hope for a better one
