Fantastic experience: Great to have a complete facility up here. Don't worry about the internet babies complaining some idiot wasn't allowed to take his daughter into mens showers. same bloke complained his cross dressing son wasn't allowed to play on the girls netball team and tv1 worked out he's a serial pest. I've always had a good workout, ocean views.

Negative experience: Had the most unfortunate and disappointing display of "Far North couldn’t care less attitude” than I have experienced in a long time. I have belonged to this gym in the past and always had good experiences. Today, turned up to the gym, the hours on the door and the website said they were open – it was 11am. Everywhere was locked up. Called the mob number on the door 3 times (for access if gym closed). Half an hour after my last call, a male calls and asks “what’s up”. I explain I would like to be a casual member, and the gym is closed. He muttered something about 'the kids' and said he'd probably be in about 2pm. When I asked how I could get access as a casual member his curt response was 'you can't". And that was that. No apology, no suggestions for other days. Nothing. Disgusting customer service, false representation on the door and website and unless this gym changes hands I will not be going back - well I cant get in anyway. My business on this occasion was worth $130 but clearly of no value to them.

Fantastic experience: My family and I managed to secure a beautiful airbnb over Christmas New year 2024 in cable bay. As avid trainers my wife and 2 boys were desperate to keep our training going, We found MHF online and visited on the day we got there. I rang the number and met Lance who gave us a weeks membership. Legend who allowed us to use his gym and great equipment! Thanks Lance! Our family appreciate it... If I lived there would be my go to gym!!

Positive experience: Very hard to manoeuvre so many machines. But adequate for what I need

Fantastic experience: This is a great fitness center with a wide choice of equipment and a very kind and accomodating owner Lance. I regularly come to Coopers Beach for holidays and I love the fact that I can continue with my exercise routine and I can use this gym. Negative experience: If I could give no stars, I would! Owner threatened a disabled girls Dad. Would not recommend this gym if the owner treats vulnerable people that way.

Negative experience: The owner Lance Morey is an absolutely disgusting person threatening to break the jaw of a disabled girls Father and banning her from the gym not prepared to provide any form of disability showering facilities, Abusive, Aggressive and an outright A$$hole

Negative experience: Owner said on TV he would break the jaw of the Dad of a Disabled girl, I would stay well clear of this toxic person, shouldn't be running a community business!

Negative experience: Sadly, the owner doesn't know how to treat people with respect. Due to his very rude manner, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Taipa Resort doesn't have a gym but Mangonui, Coopers beach does-just across the bridge. Great people and always so accomodating for us travellers, thanks for your gym and wonderful hospitality you guys. ;). See you again soon.
