Negative experience: First time in town visiting this studio, upon booking the only email I received was a receipt of payment. The morning of, class started at 9am with the studio hours stating it only opened at 9am. Took directions as per maps and found it a little confusing as there is conflicting signage above cafe Lot 2 but access is on the right side of the building - through a door and upstairs (these details should be provided when a class is booked). Arrived at the doors at 9:01am which were locked, to be told at 9:02am when someone came to the door “yoga’s started you can’t come in, sorry”. I explained I was visiting town and one minute late due to finding my way around the building with little info, met with a sorry and shoulder shrug. Going through my emails and the website, information about strict start & finish times isn’t easily available - there’s no mention on the homepage or timetable where you’d select class, nor booking page where you check out. No directions or instructions on the email sent after booking. I deliberately checked through the website and found mention in FAQ’s after the fact. Would definitely recommend improving communications as above as there’s clearly a gap. Genuinely very disappointing handling and experience - will now need to follow the process for a refund.

Fantastic experience: The teachers at Alma are fantastic, the space is beautiful, calming and high spec'd. The Alma staff are very welcoming and so are the other yogi. There's a great choice of classes and variety of class times to suit everybody.

Fantastic experience: A large selection of classes, with times that are appropriate to my busy schedule. Chill zone is such a wonderful place to vibe, chat and exchange smiles.

The studio itself was beautiful & restful, and our Guru (Steve) was an excellent guide on our Yoga journey. His respect and passion for the practice created a calming, restorative, atmosphere - can't wait to get back to it next week!

Fantastic experience: Every class is an absolute pleasure at Alma, the studio is spotless, inviting, nurturing and I love the tea's! I really appreciate the showers and soap because I work classes into my work day as well. Thank you for creating an amazing space and providing such amazing and knowledgeable teachers.

Fantastic experience: The calm vibe at Alma is what keeps me coming back. The yoga classes push me in a good way- whether it be physically or mentally, I always seem to have my needs met on the day, leaving either relaxed or revived. The new building is stunning- so much thought and care has been taken with the design- even the bathrooms are gorgeous! But my favourite place of all is the relaxation snug. A hot herbal tea and a sit down after class is the perfect tonic before setting off back into the real world!
