Pilates To Be Orakei: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Fantastic tutor. Classes small and personalised for specific injuries or areas that require more work. Noticed a great improvement in my flexibility and reduced pain from a previous injury. Highly recommended
It’s so rewarding to hear that your pain has reduced and flexibility increased through your sessions with us Tracey. Thanks so much for your feedback. It’s all about consistency now to make even more progress
Fantastic experience: “Movement is medicine” is just one of Saul’s awesome sayings with lots more encouragement along the way! Pilates to Be is a personalised one-on-one session, in a classroom/group environment, where Saul ensures everyone gets the most out of their session by “squeezing out all the juice” suitable to your body, your limitations and your goals. I create space for myself twice a week to attend “Pilates playouts” and I am getting stronger each week along with making new friends! Thank you Saul.
Nothing makes me happier Tania than to see how quickly you're progressing thanks to your incredible dedication and great consistency. And doing it whilst having fun and making new friends is really the icing on the cake. Thanks for your kind review and I’m glad someone is listening to me during class ;-)
Fantastic experience: As an osteopath I really appreciate Saul’s focus and enjoyment of movement. There’s so much in what he does to promote health and protective against Injury. There a lot of balance and floor work ever lots of variations each class. He also cares. He checks in with people during and after class. He’s also makes an effort remembering names and he sets good variations that fit at any fitness level. He sets a very inclusive and welcoming environment.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful and kind review Andrew. Means so much coming from an osteopath too! As you know, I am all about evidence-based exercise! Applying up to date exercise science principles to Pilates to improve our 'healthspan' (being healthier for longer) and to reduce the risk of injury and pain levels is what drives me. The key is to enable each person to be challenged where they are at (whether recovering from injury or super strong and advanced) so I'm really happy to hear that as one of our strongest clients, you too are able to get what you need out of each class. When everyone has to do the same moves, the result is that some people are not working hard enough and others are working too hard. That's why we layer each exercise to suit everyone. And it's not too bad if we can have a laugh along the way :)
Fantastic experience: Wouldn’t be without it. I’ve gained so much strength, balance and encouragement in this class. In my 60’s now it is certainly not down hill from here. Saul is a great teacher and very permission giving to do everything at our own pace but encouraging also to push ourselves to get the most benefit out of the exercises. Such a great workout and nothing passive about this class. Give it a go. You will be so glad you came along!
So happy to read your feedback Jude, many thanks! I love how you're always challenging yourself as that's the only way we can adapt and get stronger and more flexible. Here's to a fab 2024 of moving freely and confidently :)
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this class and highly recommend it for anyone who wants a full body workout - but at your own level. Saul is a high energy teacher, and gives us great options throughout the session, so you can up the level of each exercise as you improve. The first half is a cardio weights session - so important for women to do - and the second half is Pilates, so it’s a unique class, that is challenging, interesting and definitely lots of fun. You will earn that post-class coffee!!!
Thanks so much for your review, Janelle and glad you enjoy the unique Friday Pilates and weights class. Of course, we use other more traditional props like bands and circles or just the weight of our body in all our other classes, as these are more traditional to Pilates and work in much the same way as hand weights.
