Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art whose central theme is the skill of controlling a resisting opponent in ways that force them to submit. Due to the fact that control is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, much of the technique of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is centered round the skill of taking an opponent down to the ground and wrestling for dominant control positions from where the opponent can be rendered harmless.
Our Adults program is beginner friendly and open to everyone over 13year old.Come discover this amazing lifestyleImprove: fitness / mental health / confidence / self defense
Coromandel BJJ: Reviews
Fantastic experience: If you're around the Coromandel Peninsula looking for a roll with a skilled team and a prof with big credentials, call these guys first. I dropped in with Coach Janny and team for a no-gi open mat on the recommendation of a few people, while visiting from Canada. They put up with my 300lb north american tourist vibe in proper fashion. Visitor friendly, top level skills, and I can tell coach works hard to make sure BJJ is accessible in a challenging geographical area.
