Fantastic experience: Modern outdoor Olympic Pool in Nayland Road Stoke Nelson

Fantastic experience: 50 metre heated outdoor pool. Hot showers and a large changing room. Plenty of space everywhere and so nice to be able to swim outside. Cafes for afterwards not far away.

Positive experience: Excellent outdoor pool complex; lots of space to relax beside the pools. From diving boards for bombs to toddlers pool. Spent a great couple of hours very easily. Plenty of shady areas for spectators

Fantastic experience: It's got a great seventies vibe. The water is clean and warm. Great staff. It's the only 50 meter pool north of Christchurch on the south Island ( I think). If you like a big long pool this is it. Also kids play area and 3 meter diving board ( I'm not sure how good). Students use the pool mid morning when school is in session but I still had plenty of space to swim. I suspect the pool will get busier as it warms up. Really it's a great place to swim.

Fantastic experience: As someone who likes to do flips and twists, i was impressed not only by the diving boards, but also by the fact that I was allowed to do all these tricks. I've been to many swimming pools before with the only intention of doing tricks off the diving boards, just to be told off 5 mins later as it goes against "health and safety standards"

Positive experience: Lovely cool water on hot summer days. Only 50m pool in Nelson. Staff pretty disengaged, showers and changing in need of an upgrade, nice grassy grounds.

Fantastic experience: Great afternoon swimming with the lounges to lay back on when you get out. My boy loved the water slide the best. It's great that u can sit under the trees if u want shade.

Negative experience: Looks like an impressive facility. Unfortunately our first experience was a wasted trip, as the (otherwise really helpful) timetable online isn't kept up to date, and a call to check didn't highlight this fact. Will give it another try though and update this review!

Positive experience: Really good outdoor set up. Lap pool and two different smaller pools with play and sunbathing facilities. Wish I had discovered it earlier!

Negative experience: Wont be going back in a hurry, website says 6.30pm closure, pool closes at 7pm. Enquired about babies pool so paid and went in. Then told by life guard baby pool is closed. Baby pool is way to cold for babies. Band aids floating in the kids pool. In the ladies change room the chemical/ cleaning products storeroom door was left wide open, very dangerous any child could of wondered in there. Not impressed at all. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Prefer these pools than the aquatic Centre as it doesn't smell of Chlorine and less populated. Has a diving board, slide and baby pool. Love it being outdoors. Changing facilities are basic but large. Has hot showers.

Positive experience: cheaper than ASB, however the kids had to leave the main pool for a major event but we still had to pay full price. other than that venue is nice and i guess most time the main pool is free to use all day.

Positive experience: The facilities are great but the toddler pool doesn't open till 11am.....when most toddlers head home for a sleep. Rather open it from 10 to 12 and then close it until 2, then reopen.
