Fantastic experience: It was a Home and Garden show. It is really interesting looking at different varieties of merchandise. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Went to Saxton Field for a casual game of table tennis with friends on a Sunday morning. Relaxed atmosphere and loads of tables available, will be back for more games!

Positive experience: Nice multi use sports field. Started and finished the Nelson Half Marathon run here in Nov 2023. Was easy parking and simple to get to on lovely flat open roads and sidewalks. Nice walk for dogs to river and around parks.

Positive experience: As an exhibitor at the "Home & Garden" show I found the venue (inside & outside) a good venue for both exhibitor & visitors alike.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities for loads of sports clubs, cricket, football, netball and our favorite the amazing velodrome that is free to use during the day as long as track club are not training in it. Great community resource and very well maintained.

Positive experience: Busy. High School tournament volley ball. Parking spaces rare and narrow roads. Take the first carport you see. Toilets and kitchens and several rooms. Know where you are going before you run late. Very noisy but pleasant outlook. Historical photos of sports people from Nelson in rooms.

Positive experience: Saxton has more than enough sports fields and walking tracks. Bicycle paths as well as a nice stream. It can be short on places to sit if you're in the older crowd though.

Fantastic experience: We were watching grandchildren playing softball. However, Saxton Fields in general are a great place for sports, as well as personal running, walking, cycling, etc. A great asset to Nelson/Tasman. We'll maintained facilities make it scenically attractive too.

Fantastic experience: Really awesome place for volleyball and other sports! They are very efficient and effective with the COVID rules! I commend that. So much fun playing volleyball there, it's a blast! Really recommend it! Thank you so much!

Positive experience: great place for sport and recreation. The only hick up are the speeding cars which are using this are as a short cut. it's a 20kmh zone. however good place to go especially with new benches around the pond.
