Fantastic experience: Dudley Parks awesome. Do my 50 lengths every 2 days and have a spa afterwards. Staff and lifeguards awesome and the facility is excellant

Positive experience: Not too busy early on Saturday morning. Spa was nice and warm. Great to see the aquafit session taking place. Very disappointed with the communal showers - much like a school changing room. Unfortunately this meant that I used a family cubicle so I could shower privately afterwards. I made sure there were still 3 available cubicles before I went into the one I used.

Negative experience: For my injury recovery, I need the water temperature to be around 38°C for my water therapy. Two days ago, I was informed that the spa temperature was low at 35°C due to a forgotten open fresh water valve, but it would be fixed the next day. Today, I called before leaving Oxford and was told the spa temperature was 38°C. However, when I arrived, I was told that all the temperature gauges were broken, and the spa was still at 35°C. This was very disappointing! ACC pays $260 for the taxi drive back n forth. Two other people also complained about the cold temperature. Progress wld be to have a temperature gauge which works.

Fantastic experience: Great community pool for family. Enjoyed being there with my grandsons as I could see them quite easily. At bigger pools I felt worried when I lost sight of them. Also excellent parking and the skate park closeby.

Negative experience: We had a terrible experience with really rude lifeguards. Only one lane free to the public in the whole facility, and my older kids and I kept getting told we weren’t even allowed to play in it even though there were no other lane swimmers. The only reason we drove to Rangiora is because we’d been to Kaiapoi first and the whole place was swimming lessons only so they sent us there. How are kids supposed to learn to swim if we can’t afford lessons and there’s nowhere they can casually play/swim in water! I thought council facilities are part of what we pay rates for.

Negative experience: Way to expensive for only a small pool with lazy river and a big pool. There's also a spa but you have to be old enough. I tried swimming In the holidays and wanted a Lane To Practice synchronized swimming but a rude life guard told me I could only swim just before another life guard said I could practice if they were enough lanes then after the rude life guard talked to me I ask enough life guard if I could keep synchronize swimming and she said yes if I was more careful, so you can't said the life guard was looking out for me or anyone else cause there were no people really. If I could give the pool a -5.

Negative experience: This is a good aquatic center, it is however let down by instructors and staff who have no regard for your possessions in their care. Be careful sending your children here with belongings such as ear plugs as these instructors are happy to confiscate them and then never return them. They will happily take your money for items purchased from their store and will just as happily take them from your child never to be seen again. They also have no interest in resolving these issues with you. My $10 can be your free lesson. Do not trust them.

Positive experience: Great medium (NZ standard) pool facilities, ideal for taking the kids for a cool down or learn to swim depth pool. Whirl pool (lazy pool) child's spa style spot, a shallow pool (good for under 5s) slightly deeper area with a wide water fall and a larger pool which is upto around a meter deep. And a "lengths swimming pool" I believe it's 20m with a shallow end and deeper end. 4* as it is perfect for what it is, not 5* because it isn't a 5* pool area

Negative experience: Overpriced for not that many facilities, life guards were not that friendly, waterfall in child’s area never worlds, not enough space for kids/whoever to go into the main pool to do something other than lane swimming (eg. flips, handstands (considering it was deeper), not serious synchronised swimming, block dives). Lazy river: not that much space & doesn’t flow that quickly with sharp bends. Facilities in general were a bit small, and the family changing rooms were definitely too small lacking (sink, toilet, mirror)

Negative experience: It's ok. It would be nice if there was more for the toddlers as my 2-year-old got bored very, very easy, and wanted to keep going in the deep part, which I didn't like.

Negative experience: I phoned up and to check about booking in my children and brother for a swim. The lady on the phone told me there was only one half hour slot available for 12.30 - 1pm for the lazy river. It was the only time slot left, I confirmed that yes I would like that slot and then followed by an hour in the shallow end of the learn to swim pool. My brother turned up with the children and was told that there was no booking for lazy river under his name even though she asked me how to spell it. So my kids only got to play in the small area. Really not worth the fee to get in. Farewell Dudley, we won't be coming there again

Fantastic experience: Great facility with a variety of swimming experiences from the laned big pool to a lazy river. Particularly love having a spa after a workout in the pool. Brilliant for those with disabilities with specialist changing rooms and showers to a ramp into the big pool. A seated hoist is also fitted by the spa to lift people into it.

Fantastic experience: Our kids love swimming here. You can hire trunks or tugs and towels and goggles. So if you forget anything, it's available to hire at a really cheap price.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool for a little town, has a wide 25m meters swimming pool with atleast 10 lanes. Has a reasonably sized spa which is really nice after a long swim. It has a good sized kids pool, carpark isn’t the biggest especially seeing as it shares the same carpark with the netball club and the park next to it. Staff are always friendly and helpful

Fantastic experience: What a great facility! My grandmother dons were there for swimming lessons but the aquatic center has huge facilities for fun, fitness and just relaxing. Great place to go with the family on a hot Canterbury day.
