Fantastic experience: Love this gym

Positive experience: Great urban city pool complex. Large pool for laps, diving areas, smaller kids pool, whirl pool, water slides. Gym on site. Family changing areas near kids pool. Offers lessions and water activities such as aqua jogging.

Positive experience: Nice place , very busy but can do with an upgrade or the facilities

Negative experience: Today I went with my two-year-old child to the pool and one of the employees was very rude. She did not allow me to take a picture of my child in the pool. There was no one around me except my only son. He was very sad. There should be something for the children to take pictures in the water to be happy.

Positive experience: Not bad gym but not sure it's a good idea to mix sanitizer spray bottles and school kids. If everyone's wearing a shirt and using a towel, are the spray bottles really necessary?

Positive experience: Excellent facilities, however the diving tower is almost never open to the public. If it was, I'd rate 5 stars instead of 4.

Negative experience: My two granddaughters, aged 11 and 12, were being bullied by a ten year old boy directly under the lifeguard, which did nothing. Even the dad was sitting watching and did nothing until I came over and told him to stop. The son of a local politician at that. We left.

Negative experience: The only place where you can get a hot shower in Dunedin atm. Whereas this is really appreciated, paying the full entry price for a shower, which literally takes 15min door to door, feels like a scam.. She didn't even gave us the student price..making it the most expensive shower in NZ. Do you really need to take out the backpackers' ?

Fantastic experience: Good size pool for practicing! Recommend going late (after 6.30ish) or after 8.30 am as fewer people. Reasonable price for university students and lovely staffs.

Fantastic experience: The best hydroslides I've been on in the country for one reason - the (lack of) lines! There's no annoying traffic light system/1 minute delay at the top of the tower holding up the queue. Because of this, it flows freely and you get so many slides compared to almost every other pool. Both slides are also long and quite forceful. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: What makes the place good is the people, Tanya is absolutely amazing, she puts a smile on your face before a work out and swimming activities. We need more people like Tanya in the world who is full of positivity. Tanya is also very knowledgeable with all aspects of the venue and will go above and beyond to make your experience 10/10

Positive experience: Great fun. Has hydroslides, a wave pool, diving pool and lap pool. Hydroslides could do with a fresh coat of paint, looking a bit tired.

Negative experience: Please clean the family changing rooms with showers. They smell of urine. I am disappointed. I have been with the pool community for many years but lately the standards have lowered.

Positive experience: Nice pool, good hot showers. Didn't like the stairs to get from changing room to pool tho.

Negative experience: Unfortunately due to lack of life guards pools shutting early and unable to take kids there as a result which is a shame and another demonstration of rate payers not getting the services we pay for yet where is our discount o rates for lack of service provision

Negative experience: Can't believe how dirty everything looks black gludge looking stuff in the kids pool around the inside of the water, white staining on the mushroom, even the floor in the changing rooms are black, otherwise good pool

Negative experience: The receptionist are very discriminating : they checked the ID cards from whom they want. Once harassed by a middle-aged man and a woman swimming there.

Positive experience: The pool itself is great but the car park is a disaster. I have paid for swimming lessons for my baby and we missed this weeks one due to me having to drive around for 15 minutes looking for a car park and not finding one

Positive experience: Facilities getting dated. Very expensive now. Men's changing rooms need to have something for privacy when changing kids. When the main door is open you can see in from the reception area, and people changing are in full view. Long waits for family change rooms. Work is underway to address issues.

Negative experience: It's now an all too frequent occurrence where casual swimmers have minimal space despite having paid for their access to the facilities. There needs to be an urgent review of lane allocations to ensure the lane swimmers are given a fair go. The front-line staff including reception, cleaners & life guards etc continue to be very helpful and polite.

Fantastic experience: Son and his dad went. We were looking for a pool so our son cod have some swimming fun. We are from Wellington, driving down south and basically exploring. Have a wave pool which ive neva seen before, real groovy. Different areas to swim. Hydro slide. Picnic table areas outsyd

Positive experience: Fantastic choice of pools and activities. It is a bit of a maze but well signposted. Friendly and attentive staff. It would benefit from a cafe for parents that are just spectators (though it is possible I just didn't spot it).

Negative experience: Considering this is one of the expensive swims I’ve had in NZ, I was surprised how old and grotty this facility is. Looks like it hasn’t seen a lick of paint anywhere for decades. A good scrub wouldn’t do any harm either.

Fantastic experience: Probably one of Dunedins best places to go for a fun day out, there is a variety of different pools for the children and adults with the hydro slide to keep everyone entertained. The gym is very well structured with good equipment and different exercise classes at specific times. They have good fitness trainers with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Positive experience: Even though Dunedin is fortunate to have a large array of pools. Maintenance has not been maintained and is due for a refurbishment. Also some of the life guards could be assertive in upholding rules

Fantastic experience: Worth more than 5 stars 10/10 With a big group of 21 pleasant point scouts and cubs swimming yesterday. Amazing customer service,Amazing caring staff and awesome facilities and pools. We all had a memorable experience and we will definitely all be back. Thankyou.

Fantastic experience: Special shout out to the lovely staff up front who were super helpful (even providing me with some hot tips. re. caring for your togs). This alongside the great aquaarobics classes makes for a lovely time (plus some excellent views).

Positive experience: My kid could spend there all day. It is a great place. I think fast stream was our favorite this time Only thing that could make things better - if there would be more family changing rooms available. We were quite cold while waiting in a line to get dressed

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic complex. Generous family pool with wave section, lazy river and toddler areas. Multiple learn to swim and lane pools and diving pool plus the hydro slides are always a favourite. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. Plenty of life guards also. Relatively expensive for slide plus swim but you get what to pay for.

Fantastic experience: came here for a casual workout. What a cool gym! decisively cheaper than privately owned gyms. large and clean with a great window front overlooking the town. no lockers, though. small towels provided for training, not for showering. you can use the pool facilities with the gym pass as well.

Fantastic experience: Lovely municipal gym and pool, different from the more gucci private gyms in the UK that I am used to and much better for it: I could just get on with exercising in this place.

Positive experience: Excellent exercise area, play area, plenty of room in changing rooms, lots of activities in the many pools.spa pool for adults, 2 hydroslides, excellent teaching lessons available, teachers very kind, wave pool, river, learners pool, main pool divided into lane swimming and public, dive/ aqua jog pool, and separate dive pool.

Negative experience: 1 star rating for the restrictions put in place while the South Island was at alert level 2, my daughter and I came up from Invercargill wanting a swim in the leisure pool and hydroslide only to find no facilities were operating except lane swimming due to the Covid alert level. Other pools in the South Island operated their facilities during alert level 2 with limits on numbers.

Negative experience: The pools are ok. The slide is fine but the ramp going to the slide is just bare concrete. The only facility with slides we visited that DOES NOT have mats on the walking ramp towards the slides. My son and a friend made serious blisters going barefoot on the ramp . NOT SAFE !

Fantastic experience: Big slay. nice waves, very clean very nice. pools are big and good temperature. Kinda unclear where I'm allowed to swim but idk its fun. THEY HAVE SLIDES. i may be an adult legally but twisty slides is an always kinda thing. love this place big slay 3/3

Positive experience: Still a fabulous centre in Dunedin. First went there 50 years ago when it was new & so was I. Lots of additions but still a great place for all to enjoy.

Positive experience: Pretty clean changing rooms, sucks that the hydro slides are open on weekends and holidays. We only went for the spa anyway

Fantastic experience: The Moana pool gym is well-equipped. There are many options for free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. During busier times, there is need for a second squat rack and lifting platform.

Positive experience: Great place to have a swim and slide, just in need of the upcoming fixups and structural support fixes especially on the hydro slides (just look down at the beams as you go up and you'll see) but other than that you and your family will have a blast!

Fantastic experience: Fabulous place to tire the kids out on the hydroslide and the wave pool, although the waves seemed a lot tamer and ran shorter than they used to. Its long overdue to have a proper cafe though!

Positive experience: Moana pool is great. No line up for the water slides, the family pools are nice and warm. We had 4 kids with us age 7 to 11 and they didn't want to leave after 2 hours plus.

Great activity wave pool, waves start at 10.30am ( I think, definitely no earlier than 10.00am) massive lap pool split in half, old and new diving pools, guards more than happy to open diving boards up. Classic fast and slow water slides. Massive men’s and women’s changing rooms, heaps of family rooms with showers. Small spa? Also has a gym! Good parking and drop off area. Good work Dunedin!!

Fantastic experience: Really, really love it here. My daughter learns swimming with 'Just swim'. Small kids pool, separate learning pool, jumping pool, long lane pool, slides (I did not try yet). Staff is really friendly, Life Guards are changing positions often and are really focused. Great Family changing rooms with shower in different sizes. Go for it!

Positive experience: Fantastic facility available to just about everyone. Staff are great and while place looking a bit tired in places its always clean and cheerful. Appreciate clear covid19 rules and physical distancing. Website could use more timely updates so folks know what levels are in place before arriving. Still a local gem!
