Positive experience: It's winter so I didn't go in and the water was a bit green. Fishies seem to like it. But I would try it out in summer

Negative experience: These are absolutely disgusting.They need a thorough clean.They look quite dangerous as the bottom look slimy.

Positive experience: Saltwater baths were created and looked after by locals. They allow swimming at all tides and help children learn to swim . Locals give their time for free so please respect the clean baths . Nice place to sit on a sunny day. Tides,are over 4 meters in Tasman Bay so baths,are useful on a hot day at low tide. Parking playground and changing sheds close by. 3 day max camping ground close.

Fantastic experience: Ein sehr angenehmer ruhiger Platz. Regularien sollten aber eingehalten werden. Jeden Abend Kontrolle. 2 Nächte erlaubt. Sehr gute Toiletten. Sauber, werden täglich gereinigt. Platz ist beliebt, daher frühzeitig kommen.

Fantastic experience: Hadn't been here since I lived in Dovedale. Was still as nice as I remembered and not super busy which was good. Cool that local volunteers are still able to look after a public asset like this.

Fantastic experience: Great pool! Has kiddy gates and nice high railing so young kids can’t accidentally get in. Has a shallow toddler area seperate from the main pool. Main pool has a shallow end of .9m and a deeper end of 1.6m with steps to get in.

Positive experience: Le free campsite est super cool, toilettes propres, jolie vue sur l'océan le soir. Safe... La piscine d'eau salée donne moyennement envie mais plein de locaux viennent s'y baigner.

Fantastic experience: Emplacement parfait au bord de l'eau, très bien équipé, propre et paisible. Même une douche (froide), à ce prix (0$), c'est le luxe !!! Allez-y (pas trop tard), a 16h c'est plein.

Positive experience: Really interesting. The pool looks like it's in good shape. Not a pool with lane lines and marking at the end. It seems like a swimming work-out would be difficult.

Fantastic experience: Neat place to freedom camp. Pools are from the sea water pretty neat! Walks all along the ocean and also you can walk to town on paths through the bush. Also a park for kids

Positive experience: Probably would not pass water quality test but made for a funny and unusual swim spot. The bottom and sides are pretty slimy and there's stuff floating in it (hopefully sea things...). Filled with salt water as name suggests. Luckily can have a nice rinse off at the new showers and toilets in car park, as well as changing rooms. Enjoy!

Fantastic experience: Awesome place to go chill and have lunch, small water bath is warm on a sunny day and the larger one has a hand rail end to end if needed. You can also park a campervan near by. Decent fishing spots near by though keep in mind that you need to walk a bit.

Fantastic experience: I go early mornings. Normally I have the place to myself. Plenty of parking nearby and a public toilet. Has a small pool and a bigger deeper pool. Gets a good clean out twice a month by local awesome volunteers. Great coffee nearby at Celcius coffee. Highly recommend this place for an early morning swim.

Negative experience: Disappointing. Wasn't inviting at all. On a warm sunday arvo there was hardly anyone. Surrounding beaches also not great to swim, dirty water. We left early.

Positive experience: Not only is this only one of two saltwater baths in NZ , but the only .one on such an incredibly idyllic bay . We also now have three brand new bespoke toilets cum change rooms. Open September through to May and cleaned fortnightly , purely by volunteers. At high tide the option to float over the seawall is too tempting to pass over . PS A historic places trust protected property makes this an intergenerational protected Community Asset .on down .
