Positive experience: An old but trust facility. Lots of swimming elites come out from this establishment.

Fantastic experience: Amazing swimming Teachers and staff

Negative experience: Went there for chief keef did NOT get keef or any chef for that matter, had to watch the fortnite travis scott concert instead. Would not reccomend

Fantastic experience: I love this pool, I always come here when I can. The kids love swimming in the different sized pools. We always have fun can't wait to come here again soon. I definitely recommend coming here it's a great place for all ages with swim equipment that you can buy at the front desk like googles, swim wear, and water toys for the kids. I've also heard that there's a gym, but haven't had a look even tho I've been going here for years.

Fantastic experience: Love this pool, I’ve been learning and training and now exercising at Wharenui since 1974, staff and other patrons are all nice and easy for an old codger like me to chat with… yes i have Wharenui to generally be cleaner than the other pools

Negative experience: I'm not one to write bad reviews but this pool was a real let down. The pool was extremely dirty & both lifeguards on duty were on their phones & not looking at swimmers. There were two boys in the smaller pool constantly shouting abuse at me & my partner & making inappropriate gestures towards me the entire time. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. Safe to say we didn't stay long.

Negative experience: Awful place. Pool is filthy, littered with muddy shoe prints at the bottom of the pool. Bugs crawling round the changing rooms. Sexual harassment from other customers. Lifeguards, sat on their phone the whole time not paying attention to swimmers across multiple pools. Do not come here.

Negative experience: Completely disappointed in wharenui pool after all the effects to help save it and the relationship they are meant to have with wharenui school. They give the school the Completely inappropriate time slots for the school to take young kids swimming .wrong caregiver of 8 won't be happening in winter. Won't be taking my kids swimming there again..WHARENUI POOL seen your review thaTs not true cos I complained to the school they said they have to take what time slots you make avaliable to them. Young kids should be swimming in term 1 or term 4 not winter

Fantastic experience: Have used the gym for social basketball for well over a year. What a well run event, great facilities, a fun friendly competition, great refs and an all round good time.

Fantastic experience: The tutor is detailed in her descriptions of swimming techniques which enables me to understand clearly what I need to change to improve my own techniques. By the second lesson I've started on drills that have already made a noticable difference in the power of my arms pulling through the water. I'm very happy with the quality of the adult swimming lessons.

Positive experience: All good except of course the restricted hours for we lane swimmers. However I do accept the fact that the Club needs to run a lean ship for a while. Hopefully the hours will extend by Springtime.

Fantastic experience: Nice place. Well maintained. Compared to the other pools this is small. Mainly kids from school comes here for learning swimming lessons. Good staff and teachers.

Fantastic experience: Great to see wharenui pool back up and running. Reduced hours but great to get a swim in. They have turned up the pool temperature too!

Fantastic experience: Warm welcome from the admission staff, flattered that she didn't automatically offer me a seniors pass . Poolside staff friendly, and very helpful, even introduced me to the lady whose lane I shared. This is not a fancy pool, but it is clean, the water is not at all cloriney, I swam for 35 mins, no goggles, no red eyes. Personally I found the water temperature perfect. The changing facilities are basic, but the showers are hot. I'll be going again.

Fantastic experience: Love it! Just the best place where to go swimming in NZ... Except for the water temperature.. Too cold... Edit. Hi, did you guys have changed management recently? I got told you did. Well, in my previous experience, the main pool had a range between 29 and 23 degrees throughout the year, it was too sensisitve to outdoor weather temperature, but if the situation has changed, this is good!! Looking forward to come back!!

Fantastic experience: Staff is helpful. Always get 1 lane for myself. Sometimes water get quite cold in winter but I don’t mind. Bathroom shower is hot and strong. Really love this swimming pool. Wish it would have more time open for public.

Negative experience: There is something wrong with the receptionist Jackie. Showed up on the morning, paid 6 dollar to use the basketball court with some training, there is one other person using the half court, so I went out, ask her politely to turn on the light in order for me to use other half court, she refused at first; I went out, asked again, she turned it on and called me pain in the ass. I eventually left with 6 dollar money return, she ruined my day for no reason, have no idea what she went through or what breakfast she had She could have told me earlier while i was on the counter if she want me to use only certain area, instead of being mean and insult me afterwards, she even asked me why wouldn't I join the other guy and only use the half court. there is only one basket, why would I interrupt other after i paid to get in while other facility is available?
