Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, equipment is clean, tidy and there’s a great variety. Spacious stretch and roll out area, staff are friendly and approachable. There’s loads of space in shower area and they’re nice and clean. The global membership is awesome and I’ve been able to continue to train while away from home. 100% recommended AF Kent Terrace!

Fantastic experience: This gym is like a fine wine: it lacks some of the resources of a larger gym but makes up for it in quality. The equipment is new and functional. If hygiene is a concern, you need not worry at this gym. It is so impeccably clean, one could literally eat off the floor. You can have a changing room, toilet and shower all to yourself! In fact, Anytime Fitness Kent Terrace is more like an exclusive club than the typically noisy, dirty, smelly or over-hyped gym that most people are used to seeing. The staff are friendly and responsive; the members are mostly mature and responsible, and you can use your membership all over the world.

Fantastic experience: A gym girlie from the UK, and been traveling to different gyms throughout NZ, this gym had to be my favourite out of them all. The layout is very user friendly instantly making me comfortable, especially in the mat area so I can comfortably do RDLs without the entire gym looking at me the staff was very welcoming and I wish I could visit more often xx

Fantastic experience: Today is my last day as a member of Anytime Kent Terrace, the best gym in Wellington! (Only moving because I now work and live out of the city ☹️) Sorry I never left any reviews earlier, I didnt want anyone else joining and making the gym too busy like most other gyms Awesome facilities, clean af, and new and well looked after machines & gear. Fantastic experience: With Anytime Fitness Kent Terrace being open 24/7 it means you can be flexible to do what you want when you can. There is a great array of equipment, that is well maintained and kept clean, to suit all individual needs and fitness levels. The gym has a broad selection of members, from the young to the not so much young and from the fit to those looking to get a bit fitter. A good gym for anyone wanting to get a bit of exercise. The staff are friendly and helpful and have trainers who can help with guidance and for those who want it, put a program together to meet your needs. It is definitely one of the better gym setups I have used.

Fantastic experience: I have had a fantastic experience at Anytime Fitness Kent Terrace. It's spacious, bright, clean, and uncluttered, making working out truly pleasant. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Fantastic experience: I greatly enjoyed my membership of Anytime Fitness on Kent Terrace. I would have stayed but left earlier this year to live overseas. The manager, Craig is the nicest, most helpful person and he and the team take any questions or concerns seriously and address them promptly. The equipment in the gym is new and well maintained, and the gym itself is kept spotless. Membership fees are reasonable for what is provided. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: Gym is real nice and clean . Friendly staff but lacks equipment. Only 2 cables and few Dumbells. But I would say if go during non busy times you will be fine

In terms of cables, we completely agree and are looking to add another two cables later in the year when financially viable. With regard to dumbbells, we've never found our range of 2.5 - 50kg's to be limiting. There is a second set of 2 - 10kgs at the edge of our weights area, as well as a third set of 4 - 20kgs on the rig in functional training space. So, our members are pretty well covered, although I appreciate you may not have seen all of these pieces during your one-off workout. Positive experience: Really nice gym, quite an open space and bathrooms were super clean and tidy, although I feel the purple area was lacking some love, maybe some betger lighting and some mirrors in that area would be nice & maybe some more privacy and think of doing some renovations or adding a wall in maybe, I used to live in Wellington and super stoked to see an anytime in town as I come down heaps, overall gym had great air conditioning and was very spacious with lots of equipment! Never fails to impress me anytime fitness!

Fantastic experience: The best experience at a gym I’ve ever had. I’ve been a member for 2 years now and even though it’s not the most convenient gym for me to get to, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Everything is looked after, cleaned and respected by everyone. Clayton is a testament to the gym, greeting you by name and with a smile on his face every day, always up for a chat about anything and makes you feel excited to be at the gym as soon as you walk through the door. Fantastic experience: Clean spacious gym. Well equiped. Good mix of cardio machines. Big free weights area, with lifting platform. Had PT session with Sophie who is great. Great at focusing on good technique, but makes the workouts fun and interesting.

Fantastic experience: Came to the gym a few times whilst I visiting Wellington and wow, are the guys there awesome. They let me and partner use the gym for free on our first time. That coupled with the massive mat area, light workout spaces, great music and general welcome atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. You can pay per session and we loved and used it regularly throughout our 3 weeks in Wellington.

Fantastic experience: Huge thank you to the amazing team for giving me the opportunity to train at Anytime while I was in Wellington for Christmas. Fantastic experience: Location, equipment, and staff are all outstanding! Centrally located and very close to the main bus line. I also thought the price point was perfect as I was looking for a gym that would fit my needs during my 6 month stay in wellington. If you're on a Working Holiday Visa and are looking for a solid 24 hour gym, then AnyTime Fitness off Kent Terrace is a good shout.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to different gyms in Wellington in the past few years and I think anytime fitness on Kent terrace is simply the best. It’s always extremely clean and the equipments are very new. The staff are very friendly. It was easy process to join and to pause when I went away on holiday. I can find all the equipments I need here and It’s never too crowd or too busy even during rush hours. I would recommend anytime fitness to anyone who is looking for a gym to join! Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with anytime fitness as I enjoy late night & quiet workout time. Anytime fitness has all the equipment I needed and also the the environment is nice and clean!! Staffs are so friendly and super efficient! Regards Yirui

Fantastic experience: The gym and very new and spacious. Everything is nice and clean. The AF team is very kind and open to helping. They are the best part of the gym. Clayton is always available to sort the practical side of my membership, he is always smiling. Craig, the owner, really helped when I needed support. I’m grateful for that. My personal trainer is also a legend, CJ has been helping me a lot . I’m recovering an ACL (knee ligament) surgery, our sessions have been a game changer. Very nice location, it’s easy to get there by bus or walking. I don’t drive there often, I can find parking when needed.

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome! Visiting from california, the staff was full of nicest and most supportive people I’ve ever met in any gym ever hands down. The gym was extremely clean and not too crowed at all. I seriously recommend this gym to anyone living in or visiting Wellington! Best gym eva!

Fantastic experience: I have been traveling round New Zealand and been to a few gyms along the way but this one was the most welcoming and easiest to get going was very impressed ! The gym itself isn’t massive but has everything you need to get a good workout. It is clean and tidy and has great showers and changing rooms would 100% recommend had a great day training there !

Fantastic experience: This gym and the team there are awesome. I fly in and out of Wellington so they reset my membership for the week I'm there everytime. Never a problem and always welcoming and professional. No other gym offered me this service or were as helpful. The facilities are top grade I really cant find any faults. Great gym, great team. Negative experience: Staff not particularly friendly
Morning Carl-Anton, I’m sorry to receive this review – it’s never easy to hear a negative comment about our small business, particularly one related to customer service, which I hope you can see from the overwhelming majority of our other reviews is typically very strong.I was working in the office during your interaction with my colleague and overheard the conversation. Ultimately, he was correct to stop you after following your friend into the club and then ask to see your Access Key. Upon finding out that you are not an Anytime Fitness member, he was then right to charge you the $15 casual visit fee (regardless of whether you intended only to use the shower and restroom facilities or to work out). Lastly, he was correct to deny you a complimentary 7-day trial, which is restricted to people living permanently in the Wellington region and who hold a genuine interest in joining our club. We’re a locally-owned franchise, so it is not sustainable for us to allow non-members to come in and use our facilities for free.However, I agree that a better experience could have been achieved all around had we dealt with the situation using a different tact. My colleague and I discussed this immediately after the conversation and we will treat this as a learning opportunity for the team to know how to find a win-win should this type of situation occur moving forward.Ultimately, I take ownership and apologise that your visit was not a pleasant one. Fantastic experience: easy to sign up to, good flexible membership options, always very clean and tidy. Sometimes the AC is a bit cold, so you might want to wear a sweater for your sessions.
