Fantastic experience: Special thanks to the male staff who are on duty now at City Fitness Wigram. He is very helpful, very hardworking, and a responsible staff. He remembered my name once I enter the gym. What a wonderful customer services. I can say he is doing very good customer services and he has a very good attitude. Each time when he is in duty, he will make sure the gym well manage without any issues. He remembered many customers not only my name I will say this kind of staff are very valuable. Hopefully city fitness management will noticed that. Thumbs up to the guy although I don't know his name, but he has a bit of white color short hair.

Fantastic experience: City Fitness is the gym I have actually enjoyed going to. I was recently sick and could go for a couple of weeks and actually missed it... What I like about City Fitness is it's size, number of machines and the lack of judgement I feel. When you are working out you don't feel like you are being watched, you don't have to stress about a queue of people waiting for a treadmill and there are people from every walk of life and every shape. I highly recommend joining this gym, something I have never said before.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Great prices. Great classes. A few classes per day. I go to the gym mornings and weekends and it's not too busy. When I do evening classes it's very busy in the gym. People are happy to share equipment in my experience.

Fantastic experience: Great range of equipment and fairly empty outside 5pm-7pm. Plenty of helpful PTs around with a very friendly atmosphere including the reception. Classes have a good variety but it seems like there is room to add more. Overall, love it :)

Fantastic experience: Cannot really fault anything about this gym. After having to travel to the Moorhouse branch which was a pain to get to, as well as it's starting to show its age, as well as lacking cooling in the group fitness rooms on really hot days. Wigram is amazing gym, 8 showers in the men's charging room and I am guessing the same in the woman's means extremely unlikely not to wait for a shower even on the most busy days. Lots of onsite parking as well as plenty on street. 15 min walking distance from my home, opps so far have still driven lol bad me. Just $14pw for my membership that gives me full access as well as basic membership to a guest or family member if they go with me at same time or a family member can go separately, however still only can use the basic membership, no fitness classes. I did sneak my wife into a fitness class with my membership however she did also join as a full $14 member after that :-) And even a base membership is just $7pw although only the $14 membership allows to be cancelled with one month notice. I bet there is no other gym in Christchurch with that much benefits for such a low price?

Fantastic experience: Easily the best gym in Christchurch. I visited every gym in the city before picking this one. The place is huge, equipment is new and the crowd is cool. What more can you ask for?

Fantastic experience: This is quite a sizeable gym with plenty of free weights and machines. The machines are all Nautilus and Star Trac which I appreciated. However, there are two drawbacks for this gym they only had 1 large cable setup and 1 small cable setup and there are a lack of lockers in the gym outside of the ones in the bathrooms. Otherwise this is a very nice gym that is not cramped for space.
