Fantastic experience: The staff are always awesome to deal with ! It’s probably the only gym in Christchurch where you would have staff come over are strike up a conversation about how the trainings going and general wellbeing! Only downside is if you train longer than 2 hours parking can be a pain , but there’s plenty of street parking nearby ;for those kinds of people.

Negative experience: I had a frustrating experience with the new manager at Anytime Fitness Church Corner. I requested a temporary membership suspension from 17 September to 1 October 2024. However, despite sending several polite follow-up emails to the manager and making in-person visits to the gym after 1 October, my membership was not reactivated, leaving me unable to access the facilities. Furthermore, I was denied a refund for the time I was unable to use the gym. On 14 October, I visited the gym in person to address my concerns. However, instead of assisting me, the manager involved the police. Interestingly, my access was restored the same day, in the presence of the police, without any repairs, replacements, or adjustments to my key fob. This suggests the issue was with the gym’s system all along, not the key fob itself. This experience was deeply disappointing and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been really enjoying my time at this gym! It’s usually quiet, which makes for a more focused workout. There’s a good range of equipment, so I can always find what I need. The gym manager is super friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to introduced to this fantastic gym by a good friend. Have been a member now for a few months and enjoy every session there. Matt and the team are amazing; always greeting you with a smile and hello as you enter and the team really take their time to help you out and feel welcomed creating an excellent atmosphere. The facilités are always clean and well kept and there is the right amount of equipment to cater for every persons needs. This truely is a hidden gem in Church Corner.

They have classes that run consistently throughout the week, with quality personal trainers available if one-on-one training is more your thing. Fantastic experience: The manager Elaine is highly unhelpful and insincere. Update: She's left now (hence changed my rating from 4 back to 5 stars) Apart from that 5 stars. The free classes are a highlight here along with the quality equipment and PTs. All of the staff are great EXCEPT the one mentioned above. She was very cold once I gave my notice (didn't even let me complete the full two weeks) and shows that she sees you as nothing more than a paycheck. Left a bad aftertaste in what was otherwise the best gym experience I've had. Like the last season of Game of Thrones.

Positive experience: New gym, plenty of space but not as much equipment as some other gyms (no seated hamstring machine, only one squat rack for example). Not sure what's in the spray bottles for wiping down as it seems like it's just water. 3.5 is probably more fair, would change my review to a 4 if they got a seated hamstring machine or put something in the spray bottles

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym at least 4 to 5 times a week (to keep fit and healthy) for awhile now and here's my 2-cent review of this place. This is a relatively new fitness gym (at the time of writing) that was opened in the last quarter of 2018 (I think around August 2018). It is right across Lone Star restaurant and near the T-intersection of Riccarton and Waimairi Roads. There is plenty of gym equipment for people who want to do cardio‍♂️⛹️ and/ or strength ️‍♂️workouts. All the equipment is still well-maintained and no tell-tale signs of wear & tear [yet]. Look at the video that I have taken on this place There four treadmills, three indoor cycling (often also called spinning), and other cardio machines (I don't know the name of these machines ) facing the Waimairi Road and beware, the public can see through the windows on what you're doing especially at night if you don’t lower the [window] blinds. This gym is quite busy during the day and evening but quiet down around 11 pm onwards. This place is clean, neat and tidy throughout, and there is a cleaner that comes to clean this gym. The toilets and shower areas are clean and tidy. There is one room dedicated for aerobic exercises and classes. This is a non-smoking site and I didn't see any cigarette receptacles outside the gym. There's a free WiFi for the members to use. The only downside is the parking during the day. The members can park their cars at the car park area beside the Westpac Bank but I do believe there is a time limit of 30 minutes (or perhaps an hour?). Anyway, I do recommend to come in the evening as there’s plenty of car parks around. Their staffed hours are 10 am to 7 pm, Monday to Thursday, 10 am to 3 pm on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday is 12 pm to 3 pm. Would I go back? Yes . I want to be healthy and slim. Would I recommend? Yes . Security: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. There are emergency pendants and buttons for members to use. Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonable pricing compared to other gyms in Christchurch. Customer service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Friendly and helpful staff. I didn’t have any issues with them . Kudos to the team and well-done.

Fantastic experience: First time I have ever committed to joining the gym and it is all because of the amazing staff! This gym is like working out with one big family. Great location, brand new equipment and facilities, always clean. What more could you ask for? I would recommend this gym to anyone looking at joining. Staff are always welcoming and willing to help when you need it otherwise you can easily switch off and do your own thing. Big ups to you guys!
