Negative experience: Very disappointed on our first day power cut off no air condition during our first night neither has electric blanket ,I was freezing cold . The stuff was good.but to be fair we should get some money back for the first night since the kitchen area no power as well for our next morning

Negative experience: Went there this morning and only one lane available for swimming, slow, medium swimmers all in the same lane!! They should have told me that at reception when I asked them! Staff also need to have a hard look at themselves, your face will not crack if you smile……. try that.

Negative experience: Went today and witnessed one of the employees yell so hard in the faces of kids I thought she was going to hit them, they had just arrived and she came wobbling in yelling and waving her arms around. Talked to “management” and she tried to justify it by saying “we had a hard summer” nah you need a hard look at staff.

Positive experience: Today was a great day for our family, pity the big umbrella was broken, would've been great to have a few shaded spots to sit under.

Positive experience: It still felt tooooo cold to get inside the pool. But it was a quite well managed pool with lots of safe guards keeping kids off from dangerous situations.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! The gym, swimming pool, spa, and sauna— super laid-back and comfortable atmosphere. The gym is filled with natural light, which makes my workout sessions enjoyable. The equipment in the gym is perfect , and the space always clean. Even during peak times, it’s not overly busy like other gyms, which is a huge plus. The facility as a whole is really well kept. The outdoor pools and open spaces are perfect in summer. Lots of space to set up for the day as well as bbq access. The staff and fellow members are really friendly, giving the place a real community feel. I especially like having access to the pool, spa, and sauna. I’ve recently started doing laps in the pool, which is a new and very relaxing addition to my routine. And the best part? They have a barista serving morning coffee on the way out! What a treat! Really glad I made the choice to sign up with this place . Hands down one of the best facilities in Auckland

Negative experience: Rude Staff. My 19 year old cousin used the hot pool but was shouted on by girl staff saying he's not allowed for minors. Didn't even say sorry on the mistake.

Negative experience: Outdoor pool opening hours not clearly displayed on the website. Was disappointed to arrive at 9am and find the opening hours for the outdoor pools during the week are ridiculous, closes at 9am?fine, I’ll come back after work? I guess not as by the time I get there after I finish work it will have closed at 6:30pm? Laughable really during the summer! Be considerate for people who don’t wake up at the crack of dawn or who work until the early evening. Both pools are filthy anyway. In dire need of an upgrade.

Negative experience: I arrived at 2pm on Saturday because I was told before that swim schools finishes by then. Not only 2 lanes were already occupied for swim school throughout my whole stay but shortly after I started to swim I was told to leave the fast lane as that was booked out too for a single child. Only one lane left for the public swimmers in a public pool!!! Some people left. Others started to swim in the walking lane. Complete mess! This happened for the second time. Management only cares about revenue. Also they don't put lane schedule on their website so that at least one could plan around swim schools. They take your money and provide poor circumstances to swim. It' s a pity as otherwise it could be a good pool with a management more considerate for the public.

Negative experience: Poorly maintained lap pool. Went swimming for first time just to see a guy next to me snort out bogies into the pool. Pubes and loose skin floating around. Chinese people spitting in the pool and in changing rooms. Left disgusted.

Positive experience: By far one of the best Pool & Leisure Centres in the whole of Auckland. Plenty of room in the outdoor pools for kids & families, with an abundance of space, shade covers, and picnic tables to set yourself up. Inside there are indoor pools available for those that desire a heated swim, fitness rooms, sauna, and a gym with good membership rates. The Y-Lagoon changing facilities are also excellent, putting other public pools to shame in terms of accessibility, cleanliness, and lack of vandalism. The only marginal downside is the lack of parking, as well as limited facility capacity. I would recommend getting in early during summer weekdays by 12pm, and on weekends by 9am to ensure you not only secure a carpark, but also a good spot inside/outside to set yourself up for the day. Overall a very enjoyable trip to the pools with the family, can't wait to come back! Cheers team, keep up the excellent work

Negative experience: Absolutely shocked to find out it cost $100 for you to put up a gazebo. I have grown up in these pools and it's just getting ridiculously expensive from 15 bucks to do the slide diving boards and aqua walk on the pool and it all gets taken down and closed at 4pm. To now just to put up a gazebo it's 100 dollars this does not include any kind of booking your space it is 100 to do first in first serve with a gazebo. If your want to secure your spot you have to pay another 100. Also bbq is $2 every 10 minutes. It's a awesome pool but it is crazy what they're charging people!!

( difficile pour les frileux) structure gonflable, pour la joie des enfants! l'espace plein-air est correct avec possibilité d'acheter à manger sur place. Negative experience: Bloody ridiculous how they charge $100 to put up your OWN gazebo!! Like some single gazebos CAN COST YOU $70-$90 TO BUY. Make it make sense mate. Even more stupid they didn’t have anything on their website stating this policy or in main reception on their board. I Definitely won’t be going back there. I was there on New Year’s Day and they told us to pay $100 per gazebo we had. I told her it does not say on their website and Lady replied oh because it’s outdated! AND HOW IS THAT MY PROBLEM ‍♀️ I always prepare my trips ahead of time and check websites for info. And guess what after that on my way home I checked website and they updated it! But still very ridiculous to charge $100!!!! $10-$20 is a-bit more reasonable. #daylightrobbery

Fantastic experience: My 5yo just wanted water to jump in and during the new year holidays,her usual swimming place was closed. So I took her here and only had to pay $2.70 as an adult spectator and that's it. Her entry was free. And we were happy as she splashed in the water and while I enjoyed my coffee. You can buy coffee and ice cream here too.

Negative experience: Was here with my 2 year old, can usually stay 90 minutes, all pools were so cold we could only stay 10 minutes before my kids lips were blue. Paid $7 for a 10 min swim. How can we encourage our kids to be water confident if none of the pools are designed for them to stay in.

Negative experience: The pool itself is quite good, well maintained, clean and a bit of variety. The hydro slide stairs haven’t been cleaned in over 5 years I’d say, there is black mould and slime growing thick under the platforms, I’ve never seen anything like it, and it drips all over you as you ascend upwards. The slide itself is just a black hole and not pleasant, I got a big bruise on my elbow going down and only tried it once. The tuck shop is a shocker, nothing really on display at the windows, charge $5 for tiny fries drenched in ketchup, and there’s 5 people working in this cafe today, not sure how they can recover all that cost of labour! Maybe two of them should be cleaning the hydroslide steps. I can see this is rate payer money poorly spent…

Positive experience: Great indoor pool with varying depth. Have a sauna and steam facility as well. Outside pools have very cold water and are not temperature controlled. Have kids play area as well with water splash. You can go along with your picnic and have it inside. One time as well as a membership entry.

Negative experience: Today, my family and I stopped by Panmure pools for my nena. Being a Brown family, the moment we walked in the lifeguard on duty kept looking at us like we were criminals. My poor Nena being looked up and down by the swimmers there was just not acceptable!! The amount of eyes that stared at her because she was not the same skin colour as them MAKES ME SO ANGRY. We felt that the lifeguard on duty today as well as the swimmers there did a very poor job with making customers feel welcome and comfortable ESPECIALLY being Brown!! I am very disappointed due to the lifeguard on duty, wherever we swam in the pool, her eyes will be on us 24/7. I really hope that there will be some adjustments with her because her lack of customer service skills is shocking Other than that, main reception was so amazing and welcoming !

Positive experience: Great place to swim with kids. Huge variety of swimming pools and temperatures to choose from. Gets a bit busy in the weekends. Life guards are friendly and helpful. Going on the slides is an extra $5 pp. .. can't buy sunscreen at the front reception so remember to take some of you plan to start outside in the cold pools before proceeding to the indoor pools.

Negative experience: 0 stars.. very expensive for what we got - a babies pool because the big pool was booked for a birthday so my kids had to watch other kids have fun play on a blow up inflatable course while they couldn’t really go in the big pool for risk of getting hit and the other lanes were used by the swimmers. Waste of money, will not be going back, 2 very disappointed and sad kids.

Positive experience: Disappointed outdoor pools don't open til the end of November. Good day out for kids but can be a bit expensive when paying for all the extras like the slide, diving boards and inflatable obstacles.

Positive experience: Too many multi sport lines per court and inconsistent colours for tge same sports so ery confusing.The building I also needs refreshing big time. Something wrong when a busy sports complex ,leased off council for peanuts doesn't put some of the profit back Into the building to keep it in better shape.The YMCA should give its head a shake

Positive experience: These are great family friendly pools, lots of room for everyone to enjoy, the indoor pool is so cold though, no good for little ones, better off waiting untill warmer months.

The life guard she wearing the yellow uniform , I told her spa pool very dirty , the dirty thing flow on the water , she ignored me ! She just did excise by her self during her working time ! Horrible lady ! When I Jumping to water for swimming ! She told me which is can not jumping to the water ! Very mean ! How can I got into the water ? She growing with a angry face and mean!

Positive experience: Staff at reception were friendly. My daughter always has fun. It's a nice way to spend the day with lots of places to sit. The only downside are the toilets are yucky.

Fantastic experience: The place has always been a childhood memory because of the pools, but now that I'm older I've begun to use their gym and it's also great. Fair range of equipment, an great AC. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: On Sunday 5th march 2023 4:30pm the pool was at full capacity .Yet the staff were still letting club members through for swimming ; and this was a family of five. And their was us non members still waiting for at least an hour...I thought that panmure pools was for the public, not just for members only. I am greatly disheartened by the whole experience...

Negative experience: Called in here today to use the outside pool, but season finished on Sunday, hence the 2 stars, it's still warm enough for it grrr. And no WiFi double GRRRR. Anyway took out a one month trial, haven't been to this complex for years, still the same. Tuesday 28 March 2023.

Fantastic experience: If you are keen to do some work on your carcass and have any allergic response to Lycra this is the place to go. Sick of spending money on gym memberships and queuing up? You get the full bit - non affected personal trainers, people who say hello and genuinely seem to want you to get the result you are looking for.

Negative experience: Signed up for a fixed term 6 month gym membership but a staff member told me (in March) it would cancel in May but they still took 2 payments after the cancellation date, said that these payments were within a “10 day notice” but I never gave a 10 day notice, as they already gave me a cancellation date prior. Bunch of clowns running this.

Positive experience: Nice little spot, mainly went for the Spa and Sauna. Front counter Staff were super friendly. Only let down was how shallow the inside pool was and no space to just relax and swim around as all the lanes in the only indoor pool were used as proper swimming lanes.

Positive experience: I prefer outside pools in summer and this is a sweet little place in Panmure for a swim and a sunbathe. Space on grass, bleachers or concrete steps for sitting. Free inflatable run and hydro slides! Swimming lanes weren't too busy. Toilets/showers/changing rooms in very good condition. Carpark outside pool was full but there's another free park just a 2 min walk away (signposted). Cafe and indoor pool both closed the day I visited. Will be back

Negative experience: The centre is well ovedue for renovation and a deep clean. Unfortunately, the water was very dirty (floating hair, bits of some sort) in both outdoor pools and even in the large indoor pool. Bathrooms are dirty, family changing room is out of order. The only good part of the pools is the splash pad - quite old, but kids liked it. Very limited number of carparks. Overcrowded.

Positive experience: Great for kids, has an excellent after school swim program. Adult Sauna and hot pool. If you arrive after school hours there is little room for adult lap swim so go early or later. The lanes are marked as full line rather than demarcated by a tile line so the lanes are open to interpretation...which with young people can be interesting but a little challenging. Nice family pool atmosphere. I didn't try the beautiful outdoor pool which is seasonal then closed the day we went, but hope to in the future, looked like a great pool!
